I've been coming to Novae for many years. Service these days is inconsistent and largely depends on the nail technician. It seems their prices have gone up slowly - par for the course given that everything has gone up - but the service has definitely declined. Used to be that cuticles were pushed back after a nail soaking in preparation of the actual nail produce (dip, powder, etc). But these days, they just strip or file down the existing product and slap on the new product. They don't even bother to put lotion on your hands a lot of times. Again, inconsistent service bears on the nail technician It's disappointing because I used to frequent this place for all my services, but if they can't get me in or there's another place where I can schedule an even better manicure or pedicure, I'm more inclined to go there. read more

Got a mani pedi done here on a whim, and I think I've found my new favorite place to get nails done! I don't normally get my nails done often but now that I've found this place, I might just have to! The techs were super sweet and listened/answered to all of my questions. They were able to walk through with me on what I wanted and how much that would all cost. The ambiance was clean and quiet, with a row of tables for the manis and a row of comfy chairs for the pedis. Not to mention, my tech was able to help out another customer, one of who did not speak fluent English. They were able to use Google Translator and figure out what exactly the customer wanted. This, by itself, was an eye-opening experience and made me appreciate this place and my tech 100% more. I'm writing this a good week after and my mani pedi hasn't chipped once since my trip. I've also been asked countless times by my friends on where I got my nails done, so fingers crossed that I haven't spoiled this hidden gem! I went here to get my nails done the day before Valentine's Day. It has been three years since I've gone to a nail salon (due to Covid). My Hunny thought it would be great to get my nails done since I've been doing them myself and have complained about how long it takes me. I'm not a professional, but I get the job done! Well, I booked a same-day appointment, and when I arrived, I was seated pretty quickly by a very petite woman who wore her hat backward and a white bandana around her face for a mask (I didn't catch her name). The place was clean and beautiful inside. As soon as I sat down, everything turned for the worst. I showed the inspiration picture and wanted GelX nails. The tech stated she didn't have the shape I wanted (square), so I opted for the coffin, no biggie. But then she ran out of coffin shape sizes I needed and started using a stiletto. She cut and filed the stiletto nails but didn't bother to size match with the opposite hand. As she was buffing and filing, she nicked my cuticle, causing me to bleed (she apologized), but then CONTINUED to use shared non-sterilized tools such as the buffer and the nail duster. Like!? You've used this on other people, got my blood on it, and will now use it on the next person with no regard!? Once we moved on to the design, it seemed to be going quite well, and I was just ready to get out of there. Once she finished, I was shaken by the outcome. I had a crooked nail, and the design was smeared on almost every nail. She believed she did a badass job and asked if she could take a picture. Not even 3 DAYS LATER, my index nail came clean off. I'm sad to write this review. I have been here about 6 times in the last few months and spent a large chunk of change here. I realized there is only one person who can do nails here and that is the owner(Dai). The others are so so and today her sister did mine and they are terrible. My nails are short and my thumb nail is shorter than the rest. They charged me $95 for a regular pedicure and a full set. Mind you I had my nails done last Monday by Sandy and they all lifted so bad that I came in today with 3 nails on. I'm beyond upset. My toes were all smudged not by me but the polish was so thick that when it dried it bubbled then smudged. I went back In when my son had soccer practice near by and a woman fixed my toes and was annoyed but I couldn't be ok with messed up nails and toes. I lived in the Bay Area my whole life and they CAN do nails there and it's way cheaper I just don't get it. I mean if you can't do good nails why charge so these prices. I can't wrap my head around this place honestly. I'm all for paying money but not if I have to go somewhere else to get it done. Also I still tipped 20% which was on top of the $95. I'm done. It seems no one here can do nails-maybe a few ughh I don't know but I'm sad and upset. Is it the improper training? Do people not know what quality is? I have been going here since I took a contract in this area. The technicians I have had have been very good at their job - I only go for pedicures. The chairs are so relaxing for me and runs the entire time I'm sitting. My nails are always trimmed as I like them and the polish is done just right. I saw someone's nails at a hardware store that I loved, and she told me she went to Novae. We tried them out, and will never go anywhere else. With the pandemic putting a halt to my nail care, I was super pumped to be able to make an appointment. I've never been here before but, based on the reviews and photos, I figured I'd give it a shot and I was not disappointed. As I mentioned, it has been close to 4 months since my last gel manicure and my nails were probably the worst they have ever been (brittle, tearing super low & everything else). They comply with full COVID safety measures which I appreciated- masks required and washing your hands as soon as you walk in. I had Dee as my nail tech and she was so diligent with my requests and did a great job. (It was mentioned that she is only there on Monday & Saturdays for right now). I think I found my forever nail spot (I've tried many salons 10+ since moving to CO about a 1 1/2 years ago). Would certainly recommend to those in the Parker, Centennial, Englewood, Aurora area. Thursday, October 14 Appointment With My Daughter Pros: Clean Cons: Scheduled appointment but was not written down in their appointment book Told it would take 10-15 minutes - took over 30 minutes Only shellac (gel) color samples were provided Would not show me regular polish colors when I asked to see them & there were no polish bottles in sight Top pedicure/manicure package, Honey, I Do, was selected ($120 each - see below) Was not advised that were up-charges for shellac & Tiger's Eye polish - remember no regular polish was provided for selection so we thought the package included shellac Nail tech, Dee, was very disinterested in the job and seemed to want to just get it over with as quickly as possible Wanted my toenails as short as possible - Dee argued with me that she had them as short as possible - I can get them shorter and in one week the nails that were rubbing on my shoes Ingrown toenail was not addressed and has been hurting Informed Dee that she had hit my polished big toenail on the UV lamp when she put it over my foot. She argued it was fine. Nail came out messed up. Massage times, both hot stone & regular, were VERY minimal as were the hot towels, scrub, and paraffin Massage chair was so rough that my lower back was sore for two days after the appointment Nails chipped within one week. Other spas' polish lasts at least three weeks if not four before any chips are present. Novae MUST USE INFERIOR PRODUCTS. UP-CHARGES which we were NOT told about before selecting them: $15 for shellac on toenails $15 for shellac on fingernails $10 additional for Tiger's Eye on toes $ 7 additional for Tiger's Eye on two fingers This was the WORST Mani/Pedi that I have EVER RECEIVED and it was also the MOST EXPENSIVE!!! Update: I've been two more times and these last two trips have not been great. I brought a friend and there was a miscommunication on the nails and when my friend mentioned they weren't what she wanted, the mail tech was irritated and did a poor job on the nails. When we left the nails were rough and you could feel the powder on the acrylics. The next time I brought my 14yo niece and she just wanted pink and sparkle polish for the Taylor swift concert and we were pushed by 4 of the workers that she needed gel and when I told them to stop asking us, we just wanted polish, the nail tech told me that I was fine with her polish lasting 2 days and falling off. They don't have fans or a drying station that works. read more

I get the hard gel manicures which have transformed my nails and allow me to have naturally long nails. I went here recently to get a mani and pedi before my wedding. The staff was very accommodating and was able to get us in same day after a scheduling conflict canceled our first appt. The staff was very friendly, and the massage chairs were amazing! They did my mani and pedi at the same time to save time which was nice. Being that it was my wedding, I got a French on both my hands and feet. I do wish they had asked what color I wanted as they just did white with clear and I prefer something with a slight pink tone. I didn't think to tell them until it was too late. Also, the other reason for my 4 stars is that my gel mani is chipping after about 10 days in multiple places. I've had gel last me 3-4 weeks before so I'm a little disappointed. My regular polish on my toes hasn't chipped at all so very happy with that. read more

What really put the Cherry on top was how extremely late I was running for a concert one evening and I told them I had to be out at 6:45pm. I got a dip manicure, and I quite liked my experience. First, the price for dip was a little cheaper than other places. Second, they have a wide variety in the services and colors. There is regular, gel, dip-- so the usual but each has a box of its own colors, so there's a wide selection to choose from. They also do extensions. The extensions were a bit pricey but I believe it's normal for this area. At first one of my nails cracked a few days after getting it done but I gave them a call and they repair it for me as well as redid a few top coats without me asking. I would, however, be more clear in the nail shape you want. I wanted something different but I should've said so-- so just be aware of that. We sat down at two chairs after washing our hands first and we sat there for 30 min before someone came to even turn on the water for us . Someone finally came to turn on our water and we then sat there for another 10 min before someone came to work on my pedicure . It was rushed but she actually did a pretty good job . I do like the way they came out but I was kind of upset for how long it took considering we had an appointment. This place is very clean both aesthetically and equipment wise. It has a very relaxing environment and is much quieter than any nail salon I've been to. The owners are present and very kind. I came across this salon after having a few bad experiences at a place near my house. It's a drive for me but totally worth it and now my go-to salon. I told them of my previous experience that prevented me from getting my nails done again (left a salon w multiple bleeding fingers and a lot of pain). Specifically asked that the nails be done THICK since I work with my hands. Thinnest mani (dip) I ever had. And of course chipped on day 4. Paid $60 (paid $50 elsewhere). Went back and had the chipped nail redone and she made the rest thick for me. I am not interested in paying more for poor quality only to return to the shop and spend more of my valuable time in the chair because I was not listened to in the first place. After the RE-do, another nail cracked on the other hand after two days which did eventually break. Sigh. Won't be back. read more
