Went today for a job requirement for hire process. Today 4/13/26 The nurse treated me like I didn't matter. She was supposed to take blood and had the wrap on my arm so tight in felt like I would pass out. She showed no care or concern about my comfort or well being. She had short hair and was a little stout. Never came across her before but she was down right HORRIBLE IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE! I have nothing against nurses but I'd report her immediately to whom ever it is that could reprimand her and maybe even evaluate her for her license or cert to be a care giver for anyone. Had appointment scheduled for tomorrow with GYN in Bluffton, SC Received call yesterday when driving appt needed to be changed. Informed them I was driving would contact them today. The on-line system is terrible. Waited 25 minutes in the AM, then called back in the PM and waited over 1 hour. Left message for call back. Receive call back stating my appointment is now scheduled for April! My 1 star rating reflects the frustration and time waiting only to find out I was pushed back 2 months with no available appts. with the physician I was scheduled with. read more

The front desk girl, think her name was Stacey, was a little rude. First red flag. Then the PA (I usually see Dr. Hanna who is wonderful but this wasn't him) didn't listen to the initial reason why I was there. I was very sick and he took advantage of that and told me I was signing something that wasn't what I was signing. Completely negligent. Then had an attitude when I told him thank you as I was leaving. Just an awful experience. And I've asked to speak to management multiple times but never heard anything back. I'm not one for leaving bad reviews but I'd take my chances and risk dying of any sort of injury, illness, etc... over visiting this place again. I stumbled into this place after catching the flu, simply looking to get a prescription for some medicine. I filled out the paperwork and paid about 80-90 bucks, then had to wait about two hours to be seen by the actual doctor. He saw me for no more than 5 minutes and I was on my way. Great, right? Not when I received another bill in the mail saying that I owe a total of over $800 for the visit (a considerable part of that was for a "new patient fee"). Please listen to the many warnings listed in the numerous bad reviews and stay away from this place. read more

Very efficient (you can register ahead online). The times I've been here I have seen physicians and nurse practitioners and the help and service has always been excellent. They do have times when it is extremely busy, of course, so you have to pack some patience. Hours and location are also very convenient. I appreciate them. read more

HORRIBLE customer service. Arrived for medical care and was told it could be well over two hour wait because only one practitioner was available to see patients. I was directed to go home and book an appointment online through their website. I did as recommended and well over 24hours after the fact, their website was closed down and not accepting online appointments! Horrible customer service and I would never go here! If you truly need medical care and it is emergent, go to an ER because this facility cannot address even basic needs. read more

I pretty much second everything everyone has said about the online check-in system. It sounded great but didn't actually facilitate my wait, my time kept getting pushed and I ended up walking in. Had the same experience of the queue on the TV being inaccurate. Glad I walked in because it got me seen significantly faster than the online check-in estimated. My PA was personable, helpful, and really took great care of me, though. That's obviously the important thing, but one would think with the way they advertise and push the online registration system as a convenience it should function that way, especially since I had been there once before and they had all my records, plus I had to digitally reenter everything as part of the online check-in. read more

I came in with flu like symptoms. They ran my insurance and then told me how much money I would owe. I pay the amount owed. A month later I get another bill for $330. Had this been communicated upfront I would have refused any service. What a sketchy way to do business. read more

Yep. This place has low reviews for a reason. Staff was nice, I have to say that. Long wait (1 hr. waiting room) + 1 hr. in exam room before seen by PA, then another 30 min waiting for the nurse to return with meds before I just walked out without them. 2.5 hrs. wasted. Online check-in system is broken like others have mentioned. Next time something is "urgent" I'm going to bite the bullet and go to the ER. Don't expect same day results for Covid testing. Don't expect 24 or 48 hour turnaround. I know they are extremely busy all the time. Expect a 2 - 3 hour wait, if you are lucky. They are under staffed and over worked. Be nice. Be patient. And lower your expectations. read more

What a horrible experience! I took my husband to be seen and the nurse practitioner comes in loud and forceful. Saying we don't have time to hear patients out or help them with all their issues only one. So she starts asking questions and I spoke up bc I know my husband forgets things she turns to me and she says anything else "MOM" I mean "WIFE"! That's when my husband ask me if we can go somewhere else so I go to her and tell her. She says well I will get him medicine so I go back to the room with my husband and hears her outside our room talking about us like we can't hear her! I leave and she starts yelling my husband's medical history out loud for the whole dr office to hear! Don't ever go there and if you do stay away from Tracy McCranie! As expected at any healthcare facility, I had a long wait. In that time I witnessed several patients coming and going. The ladies at the front desk were so kind, helpful, and genuine to every patient they interacted with-- even when not given the same courtesy back. Oh my word this place is bad. Went for a covid test last year. Said no covid. Passed me off having a upper resp. Infection. Said if i was still sick in two weeks return. Left later on that week husband come down with same thing. He goes to our family doctor in lexington. Husband has rsv! I got get tested sure enough its what i had too. Both sick as dogs for weeks on antibiotics and prednisone. We are both older with other health conditions. Husband is on oxygen. This year was sent from work with wrist hand issues from repetitive tasks. Doctor gave me a splint and said rest etc. Great. Was to return two weeks later. Had some nasty p.a. that seem to doubt i still had issues. I refused to really do anymore but send me to physio which is fine. Been doing all they say. Woman p.a. doesnt care and blew me more or less off. Here i am in pain still. Even though its workmans comp i want no part of them. I want out of pain. Woman refused to give me a referral. So will pay out of my own pocket to get treatment. Success of treatment rests on getting treatment quickly. Six weeks in pain is not quick! I do not want to go there again to e treated like i am making it up. So an appointment will be made with a "real doctor". Hopefully there hasnt been too much damage done while ive been jerked around by doctors care read more

Absolutely terrible from receptionist at front desk who can't watch her mouth making a point acting as nasty as she can to med students that will over charge your insurance and give you a bottle of cough syrup for viral infections and not even a good cough syrup we are talking over the counter people if u value your health please go somewhere else read more

Before I filed this Yelp review, I did call Doctors Care and try to resolve the situation. They only said they'd follow up with the local office. Nothing came of it. Then I made my Yelp review, 3 weeks after my visit. Then they responded to the review, inviting me to contact them. I did. Twice. Having to leave voice mail messages each time. No response yet. I checked my daughter in online at 8:30 and she was given a time of 9:51 to be seen. We return to the clinic at exactly 9:51 and we were listed as no. 1 "next in line" to be seen. We sit there and wait and every other person in the waiting room is seen before us without any explanation while we remain no. 1 "next in line" on the monitor. All while they keep advertising for their online check-in suggesting you should "skip the line" wait at home and be seen when you arrive. ALL LIES!!!! There is no communication from the nursing or support staff, they all just sit there ignoring you. You sit wondering what is taking so long, just a reassuring word from someone would make such a difference. Also, this is not exclusive to this place, the nursing staff is not very pleasant but that's nothing I haven't dealt with at lots of doctors offices. read more

I have been waiting for 3 hours to be seen and people that have come in after me are being seen. I was finally called back for a covid test and the lady says to me "you're here for a test with no symptoms correct" and I said to the lady "I do have symptoms" and she claims I said on my paper work I didn't have symptoms when I clearly put down on the paper I did so I was forced to go sit back down and still have not been seen yet. read more

Checked in online at 11 and was told to arrive at 1:25 got there and my name was next on the check-in tv on the wall. Well 3 others were still called before me, I asked the receptionist about this and she told me that the online check in isn't alway accurate and neither is the tv on the wall that has everyone names In the order of check-in!! Actually want to give at least a 4.5 star rating. I had very little wait time as compared to my first time there. Staff was professional and friendly. I walked in at 7:30 on a Friday night. And was in and out. I had a call checking on me two days later also. It's nice to have a place I can go to if I need medical attention when traveling to SC as I live out of state. read more

We had to visit this location on Saturday and I must say all the staff and doctors was great unfortunately I'm writing this bad review because a mistake was made on my prescription and when I went to get it filled on Monday this was brought to my attention so after making 2 phone calls waiting 3 hours and no response my wife went by sat there for an hour, asking 3 times about the problem and never resolved, keep in mind we live an hour away, then I get the office manager on the phone and finally she offers to bring me a new prescription and she is a no show. Total day is wasted not to mention I'm in a lot of pain with no pain medicine so I do not recommend this location unless its when the good staff is working and who knows how often that is. read more

Was here today for a sinus infection diagnosis. Dr. Gordineer was amazing and even though I didn't have an appointment, I got in in a half hour and was out of there in an hour. He suggested that I go to Publix to get my prescription for my antibiotic due to the fact that he prescribed me a free medication at that pharmacy. I knew I would be in good hands coming here rather than try to get in to see my regular doctor. In fact, I would rather come here than my regular doctor when I am sick due to low wait times and comfortable waiting area, they have a tv with CNN on and plenty of magazines. read more

So I went in complaining of upper leg/thigh and butt pain/cramping that has gradually gotten worst over the last few weeks to the point it hurts to sit, my job is clerical so I sit 80% of the day. I was there a total of 20 minutes the Dr. came in asked me to change into a pair of shorts checked both of my knees then said get dress I'll be back to discuss. Comes in and says "i don't know why your leg is hurting but here's a prescription for Flexeril and go buy some tonic water it helps with cramps" He never checked the area I was complaining of just my knees. Then the visit summary and prescription stated I was having neck spasm....NEVER mentioned my neck. That was a waste of my time, That Dr is a BIG JOKE!!! Oh and my blood pressure was elevated during triage so he was more concerned about that, but any real dr would know that PAIN will raise your BP. I wish there was a ZERO star bc that's exactly what that Dr. deserves. read more

My visit was relating to chest pains. The doctor on staff was very patient in listening to my problems. He concluded that my issues were relating to stress, resulting in anxiety attacks. I actually had a breakdown in the office during the visit and the doctor was so kind to give me a hug. He was very supportive, patient and kind. I have taken his advice on how to relieve the many stressors in my life and actually feel much better. I am so grateful for the visit and the time that he took with me. read more

They usually only have one doctor working at a time so expect to wait a couple hours only to receive subpar service and care. The Doctor was absolutely great! However, the nurse talked me into getting a tetanus shot that I did not need (I overheard them doing to same to every patient). They told me that with my coverage I would not have to pay, which would be true - BUT, they refuse to file for the Vaccine itself and sent me a bill for $71. It is turning out to be hard for me to file because the vaccine is covered as a medicine, but I did not get it from a pharmacy, so have no RX prescription. Doctors Care misled, me and I am getting the run around from my Medical and Medicine Insurance with both pointing to the other. read more

Will never use again. I woke up one morning will a lump under my arm that appeared overnight. When the "doctor" looked at it he said I had a severe infection and gave me a script for pain and an antibiotic. A week after taking the meds the infection had returned. He prescribed the same meds and told me to come back in 2 weeks. I asked about doing a culture to see what is going on. The "doctor" said ok. This was on a Wed. I called them on Mon. and they told me they had called in another antibiotic. Then they called me the following Wed. and told me to stop taking the meds because they had called in another antibiotic. A week after taking the 2nd round of meds I called for a refill because the bumps had reappeared, of course I had to call them twice because they never returned my first call. I was told they would not refill an antibiotic without seeing the "doctor" AND I should make an appointment with a DIFFERENT med center. Two trips, three antibiotics, two pain pills and still the same problem-----And they tell me-----No we will not provide a refill and suggest you find a different facility. I went here for an ear ache I acquired from swimming and the humidity of the beautiful South Carolina summers (not being sarcastic, I really do love it). Basically I just needed a prescription for some medicine, which they gave me. I appreciate that part. They let me know I was lucky to be seen. Before they saw me they had me fill out a very huge amount of paperwork. Most of it was related to insurance. I cannot believe how many questions they asked. My hand was sore. They now know everything there is to know about me, not that it is very interesting. Then they had me pay my co-pay which I had no issue with. In addition to all the above mentioned information, they also photo copied my driver's license and medical card. Now I should tell you that my insurance is with a mainstream provider and there has never been an issue in the past. My coverage has not changed recently. Never the less, a week later I got a bill from them as if I had no insurance at all with no explanation of why. The message was just pay up now and don't ask questions. So I thought maybe my insurance company was just slow to make the payment, although they are normally right on time with everything. Two weeks later I get a nasty letter saying I have 15 days or I will be reported to a collection agency and my relationship with them terminated. Once again, no effort was made to explain what the issue is with my insurance. Why are they having a problem that no other provider has had? I will call them and my insurance tomorrow and get it cleared up, but what a waste of time. Did they really make an effort to work with my insurance company or did they send them a cryptic letter too and then just charge me rather than following up with the company ? Did they even do that ? Go somewhere else if you want your insurance honored. read more

Ok, I understand that you have to wait longer when you go to an Urgent care. However, if they know they only have one Dr. working, they should tell patients it will be a long wait. It is absurd, you have sick people waiting and waiting. After an hour, I was pleasant and simply inquired with the receptionist if she could give me an estimate of how much longer because I had to take my father to his Dr. and the once nice receptionist turned frigid and said that all she could tell was that there were two patients in front of me and they only have one Dr. working. So after I get called back, and now it's been two hours, the nurse tells me it will be another hour. Three hours! If this is the case, put a notice at the desk that you only have one Dr. working and that the wait is going to be 2-3 hours long. I could hear the Dr and nurses outside my room and, yes they were working, so just be sure to set the correct expectations with your patients! We may be sick and have to settle for what you give us but our time is valuable too, even if we don't work at Doctor's Care. read more
