Traveling from Oregon to Orange County, Ca. Decided to stay one night so didn't have to drive so much.My bad as I booked, site unseen. Didn't think this place would be taken over by permanent residents who are rude and think they run the place. Bunch of drunks hanging out in the mini-market till late night. Spaces are tight, and not worth the price. So many beat up RV's and trailor which obviously people are living in. Should have stayed at a non long term Park as this one is something else. On the way back Stayed at the Petaluma KOA which was amazing. read more

It is an excellent place, with awesome people treated like trailer park trash, and even if someone does live in a trailer, it doesn't mean they're trash. They deserve the same amount of respect from Amazon as everyone else, and some people who live there are turned off, so people need to be a little more respectful of these beautiful people who live in this area. The perfect spot in Marin for staying in your RV! It is very hard to find somewhere that is so accommodating and welcomes dogs. This was a huge deciding factor in staying here. They have a spacious dog park as well to let your pups run. Beautiful mountain views and a great nature park right across the road. The staff and management are always so nice and helpful. We love how personal they always are with us! They are patient and truly care about who stays here! Be sure to explore downtown Novato too! Lots of great places across the highway, it couldn't be a better location- whether staying long term or just passing through. read more

A map with directions on how to get to the hospital, Whole Foods, Target, the Post Office, how to get to certain towns, and entertainment, (etc) A menu of restaurants that will deliver to the RV site. Wi-fi included for guests Overall a lovely place to stay. Close to the highway so can hear a bit of traffic, but that's expected with a park next to a highway. We've been very happy here. The Owner, Manager and Staff really care and go out of their way to accommodate us and make the experience feel like it's a "home away from home". The maintenance staff work hard to make the park look nice, the restrooms and showers are always clean, and the deli has good food. We haven't used the pool, but it's nice to have the option on hot days. We also love the beautiful city of Novato, it's central to many great places that we enjoy visiting. read more

We stayed in an RV van for one night. We called ahead to secure a reservation. When we arrived there was no one in the office to direct us to a site and no spots ere marked with our name. It was late so we just parked in one of two open spots though both had someone else name on them. This was over a holiday weekend. The only bathroom we found that night was not heated and freezing cold. In the morning there was still no one in the office to confirm our site, pay or inquire about heated bathrooms or showers or payment. Walking around in the light we found another bathroom with showers and heat. We tried to call the office with. I answer. Eventually we had to leave. We called and left a message with our contact info. A few weeks later we got a call back and made a payment of $75. In retrospect we wished we had just parked on the side of the road and saved $75 and the stress of uncertainty. As we drove north the next morning we saw there is a reservoir a few miles l just off the right side of the highway where many RVs were. We will go there next time. Can't recommend this park due to Poor value and service. read more

The good news is that it's only about 30 minutes from San Francisco, they have a nice pool, and laundry room. The bad news is it is a parking lot with gravel, the spaces are very close together, and only one of the two ladies that I spoke to in the office is nice, however the nice lady is really nice. They do have a area between the park and the nature reserve where you can walk your dog. The worst news is it's $100 a night, but that's not shocking as there is not anywhere in around San Francisco for any cheaper than that. We stayed for business, and I would stay again. read more

PROS: Probably the nicest RV-specific park in Marin County. Good location only with easy freeway access, about 30 minutes from San Francisco in normal traffic (during the morning commute hours it can take 90 minutes). Close to the Wine Country (30-45 minutes). 5 minutes to downtown Novato for nearby shopping. Hiking trails nearby. Spacious spots. Nice deli on-site open daily 8-6pm. Clean laundry room. The management is helpful. CONS: On the expensive side but that is expected for this area. The WiFi is somewhat congested. read more

I reserved a space at Novado RV for 3 night. We live in Ventura and drove up on Sunday for a family meeting. My son was caring for our cat at home. We we arrived my son notified me that we had a pluming leak and there was water all over! Monday morning to went over to Novato RV and explained what happened and we need to drive home. The very nice girl as the front desk said "No problem" I said we were happy to pay for Monday night. She said no worries we got you covered and did not charge me a thing! Stayed here for one night and it was ok. Pretty tight spacing but that's ok. In the morning we found that someone took our propane tank and notified the office.They said they would check their cameras, however we needed to get on the road. 30 miles south they called and stated that they found our tank and did we want to return to get it. We were driving in the middle of San Francisco so that wasn't an option. They did offer to pay for a new tank. read more

Not happy with this park at all. We made reservations for three nights. At 2:30 in the afternoon on the first day we called to make our reservation for only two nights instead of three. The person we were speaking with did not seem to know the policy and kept asking somebody. They finally told us that in order to cancel we would have had to do it by noon and the day before we actually intended to leave which was a day earlier than when we planned. Mind you that all other parks we are aware of are okay with you shortening a reservation by letting them know 24 hours before the original check out time. These folks required 48 hours notice. In addition the spots are very tight to get in and out of for anything over 37 feet. Doable but at night it would be a challenge. Also be prepared to put lots of wood under your jacks on one end. This is a great park! The strong points is the very nice people working there. Also, it is one of the closest RV parks to the Golden Gate and Napa Wine Country.. They have swimming Pool, Dog Park, Deli Food and Laundry Room. You can get Direct Comcast. The water pressure is strong. Electricity does not have high voltage spikes. Note: The sewage pipe stands up tall from the ground. It is very near to Novato City so you can go to whole Foods, Trader Joes, Safeway and Starbucks within 5 minutes. It also has beautiful trails around so you can walk or bicycle... I stayed monthly and the last week I stayed there I got a monthly rate.. That was really nice of them. I can wholeheartedly recommend this place! Better than KOA that is all the way up in Petaluma. Note: The traffic starts in Novato and goes all the way to Petaluma. That fifteen minute drive can very fast take 1 hour... if you decide to stay at KOA. Also, the campground is DRY Compared to the wet muddy ground at KOA. One Warning.... : It gets very windy in Novato... keep your awning tied down. read more

Pros: The "Park" is one of the few that is close to SF and the wine country. Cons: The *EXPENSIVE* "Park" largely consists of permanent manufactured housing and full time residents in older RVs. The few spaces designated for short term campers are tight, graveled spaces which are mostly without trees or shade. The "dog exercise" area had a small trailer parked on it. The pool is hidden away and appears to be largely for the use of the owners. Right next to Hwy 101 and busy Atherton Ave. on two sides. Don't know about the deli/store, but from the outside it appeared minimal. This was a convenient place for us to stay in our trailer while visiting family. NOT a good place to stay if you want to hang out at the park (or even sit outside your RV) and enjoy amenities. A very expensive stay for us ($72 per night with full hookups) and we will avoid it in the future. I suspect the 5 star post for this park at the top of the thread is a plant from the owners as it all sounds like an ad. read more

I've been living here since 2011, yes a lot of things have change with park's management and maintenance. (and Belli Deli ) On the other hand, the park is kept clean, quiet and If you are like me and don't get on other people's business You'll feel at home and safe for the price You'll pay. I've got a few invaders in my space, once in a while, and had to change my sewer system hose because someone stepped on it and broke it, but it could be worst. In regards with people complaining about space sizes or being too tight! The bigger space you got the more you'll pay but for Marin County that's minimal. We are close to beautiful Novato, San Rafael, Petaluma, Santa Rosa, Sonoma, Napa and SF. (have a glass of wine or something and relax) I just want to say, thank you to the staff that works their b..ts off at Novato RV Park. Adiós Amigos!!! read more

What people have to keep in mind is the name. The name contains "Park", it does not have "Resort" as part of the name. This is the perfect for a home base for exploring the north half of the Bay Area. Yes, the rate is high, but so are the real estate values in this area. I would rather pay more and have the park available than not have it at all. We felt safe and slept well. The cable tv worked well. The WIFI worked once they reset the router for us. The park was nice and clean. There is a large field to take your dogs to run and relieve them selves. Take your long line though because there was only fencing on one side. We will come here again. Other than Candlestick RV Park in San Francisco, this RV park is pretty close to San Francsico. The back in sites are extremely tight. You really have to be a skilled RV driver to back-in your RV into their miniature sites. They do have pull-throughs but not many. The area is ok, not much to see. You will have to drive a distance to get to activities. I would not go back there. read more

This park has terrible customer service and after hours assistance. When you have an emergency you better be prepared to fend for yourself. The after hours line will only call whoever is on call and if they don't answer then forget about it. Sara who lives on site can't be bothered unless it's flood or a fire so you better figure out how to make that happen to get any type of extra customer service. We had the worst day and got terrible news in which my entire family was sobbing and we forgot to go grab our laundry at 830pm. By the time we realized it was 840pm and the doors where locked. We had to wash everything due to an illness that required we wash everything after we had an emergency visit which ultimately led to the terrible news. Locking all of our sheets and everything we owned clothes and linen wise in there. Absolutely no help was the after hours. read more

This is not for the overnight camper! The space we were given was so small that we couldn't open the slide on one side nor the door or awning on the other. We had to go in and out through the cab., and we have a small 23 foot RV. Numerous signs posted "no dogs" and rules state dogs must be exercised outside the park. This requires you to walk along the side of the freeway with the garbage in the pitch black dark. There appear to be many long term residents tightly packed in. There were no empty spaces so many must prefer to be close to S.F. at any cost. We were charged a hefty fee of $71 and change for one night. Can't comment on the personnel as everything was closed at 5:05 when we arrived. Internet was so slow we couldn't use it on any device. The one star is for cleanliness- spotless clean! read more

Shame on Good Sam for giving this place a good rating. It is a horrible place. It is a giant parking lot for RVs in front of a much larger permanent trailer park. The hole at the site had no easy connect adapter so it was hard to make a tight connection when dumping and it was unsanitary and plain gross despite our best efforts. The "dog area" was dangerous with a sub-standard gate with a latch that marginally worked and the fence line that is parallel to a major road with cars was just some snow fencing that was easily knocked over and often was. Also, the residents ignored clean-up signs and there was excrement all over the place. Despite what Good Sam says they have no Dump Station - it is permanently closed. No groceries and the wi-fi is terrible with no tech support. The office staff hide in their glass office and will only speak to you through glass despite mask wearing protocols. They have no maintenance or support of any kind on site. They just collect money. The ONLY bright spot is the deli and the sweet family that owns it. Do NOT go here if at all possible. read more

Great location for doing San Fran and Napa. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I'm traveling alone and they were very quick to offer assistance getting backed into my space. It's a very clean campground and there is a lot of access to shopping, groceries, gas, etc., less than 5 minutes away. It's tucked away, but very close to the 101 so you do have a constant drone of traffic. I'm a light sleeper and haven't been kept awake by the freeway noise, as it's very constant. The outer loop is long term/residential, but I haven't experienced any issues with noise, excessive traffic that others complained about. I would definitely stay here again. read more

I have been staying at RV Parks for years due to my career and have never had any one of them charge me a full day for a late check out, I could understand if they were full but they weren't! I will never stay here again. I will miss the Deli, the couple that run it were amazing and the sandwiches even more so. Enjoyed our stay here. The staff is friendly and helpful. We got stuck staying in the area longer than expected because of a vehicle repair and they were very flexible. We have two vehicles plus a travel trailer and still fit easily into the spot. The deli food is delicious! The bathrooms and laundry area were clean as well. read more

This park is a joke, tight spaces, their dog "park" is a weed patch directly behind the trashy full timers that dominate the park. There are no real amenities, all of this for $72.00 per night, WITH Good Sam. We don't mind paying premium money for a premium park, but this sure isn't one. What a dump. It's an R.V. Park inside a mobile home park. All the mobile home people are super sketchy and walk through your space all day and night loud as hell. They park their vehicles infront of your trailer in your parking area like they run the damn place. You don't want to leave anything outside unattended long cause it most likely won't be there. And for what they charge for people to stay there is a JOKE. Someone needs to slap these people over the head with a dildo so they can wake up and realize this park isn't worth what they charge. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Koa in Petaluma 15 miles north for cheap and way nicer. Doesnt even deserve one star. I give it a -6.72 stars. Woodalls rated this place high. They must have been so when they visited! Small, tight spaces, no grass for pets, and everyone who went in or out while we were trying to check in looked pretty rough. Camping may mean something different to everyone, but this is nothing more than a mobile home park for monthly/ long term stays. It did have two empty gravel patches with electricity. If you're camping, and not commuting to the city, drive the extra 10 miles to Petaluma KOA. read more

Very clean, organized park. Well run, nice staff, free postcards, willing to cut deals, has overflow area. Same day availability on the Fourth of July which worked out great! Only complaint was wifi was some arse, but could've been because we were one of the farthest sites. read more

Front desk staff gives conflicting information, they don't seem to communicate with each other. Spaces are very tight and just pavement and gravel, a couple of trees around the sites with minimal shade, no grass. No place to really spend anytime outside your trailer. Easy to get to off 101 but otherwise I wouldn't recommend it. read more

Beware. Many sites are very difficult to back into. I made reservations 3 months ahead of time for a fifth wheel and was given space 129. It was angled and very difficult to back into - in fact, when the big rig pulled in next to us their pop out almost met our door. Would not recommend or go back there. read more

i would start saying that this place would get if possible only a "minus -1 star" due to : *rude management, *disrespectful, *attitude, *hung-up the phone to a customer, *arrogance, *mislead, *careless, *lies, *ignorance, *failed to provide any minimum level of customer service, *very poor customer service & performance level, *not followed up with customer concerns and requests, *refuse to provide owner phone number for any complains, *unresonable request and not follow the guide lines even with all the requests that had been honored and ready for submission, *disregard all customer's needs and requests in order to move with the application process, *low class behavior and attitude obviously not welcome to any customer service standard in which this "novato rv park" ask for a very high price considering the very noisy location being close with a very major hwy 101, on top of all the above outrageous and unwelcome customer service provided by the present manager in charge, *applied for a monthly rent and that is what i experienced, in which i provided in numerous times the requested 3 x $900 monthly rent proof of income, *wasting time, gas and several trips to this rv location, and they never even bother considering looking into my application, *not truthful, * i would never recommend this place to anyone interested in even considering doing any type of interaction with them. read more
