I made an appointment for two pedicures at 11am for me and my mom. When we arrived, we were both seated, and my pedicure began promptly. However, my mom's service did not start until 11:45. After only a few minutes, her technician walked away and didn't return until around noon. At no point did anyone acknowledge or apologize for the significant delay. By then, we were frustrated, and my mom decided she no longer wanted to proceed with the service. When we informed the staff, they attempted to charge her $25 for a service she never actually received (a regular pedicure costs $35). I refused, and after some pushback, they agreed to remove the charge. They then charged me over $50 for my pedicure (after stating it would be $40). I did not realize until afterwards and did not bother addressing the overcharge. The lack of communication, poor time management, and attempt to charge (and overcharge) for a service made for a very disappointing experience. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I came in asking for a refund because all my nails were chipping away because he obviously didn't do the nail prep correctly. I think he was more focused on taking his cigarette breaks and coming back to work on my nails before even washing his hands. They were incredibly disrespectful when I politely asked for a refund. They blamed the state of my nails on me. DO NOT COME HERE. I would give negative stars if I could. I came less than 3 weeks ago, they attacked me as soon as I came into the door with disgusting tones in their voice. They are completely unprofessional and the empty shop shows for it. I'm pretty conflicted about this place. We were there for almost 2 hours for 2 pedicures, which is ridiculous when we have an appointment. We arrived a few minutes before our appointment time. They have an iPad to sign in on, but no one really greeted us when we walked in. We took a seat and waited. I noticed that there was a lady sitting in a pedicure chair who was no being helped. She looked really annoyed when we got told to sit in 2 other chairs across the space from her. We waited a little bit longer until someone started on my husband's feet. We both got the essential pedicure ($35) with paraffin dip ($5 and up). He was basically done before someone even started helping me. The lady who was sat before us, was still not being helped. A few people came in and were turned away because it was going to be 1+ hour for them to be able to be helped. I was finally helped and the pedicure was okay. I ended up getting a callus treatment and told it was $5 for that. They should have started working on me first since I would need to wait for polish to dry before we could leave. My husband was just sitting there waiting for my toes to dry. For $92, I would expect a little bit more than what we got. The essential pedicure was pretty pricey for what you get. It's really basic. We usually go to a different place that is $40 and includes the paraffin wax and callus removal. The vibe of this place felt like a club. There was a huge stereo with different colored lights along the ceiling. The music felt like club music. It is a very interesting spot. This place is really close to home, so it's convenient, but I think I would rather go further away and pay less over all. read more

I called about an hour before closing because my usual nail salon was too busy. The woman who answered the phone, Helen, was so kind and told me she could still fit me in. I rushed over and got a French full set. Helen took the time to show me how uneven my nails were (the work that I had gotten done at my previous nail salon. )and carefully fixed them. I love how they turned out! She did exactly what I wanted and even offered to make them a bit thicker--now they feel stronger than ever. When calling, I was told it was fine and she can do both but when I got there, I was offered to have my feet done by someone else. I declined and said I can come back another day for my feet but Helen kept insisting bc she was still with a client so I budged and got my pedi done by someone else. Review on my feet- I didn't get her name but I won't be going back. Some of the toenails were cut slanted Review on hands- I was disappointed. Helen told me that black will make a mess but I can clean it off. I've had black nails before, 2 different times by my original nail tech from a different salon and was never disappointed. One day, a new man did my pedicure because Tammy was unavailable. He was very nice and friendly, but he accidentally cut my toe, which is my biggest fear when getting pedicures. I could cry. Worst experience ever! Today is Sunday and I'm leaving on a cruise tomorrow morning, I went to get my nails done and realized my salon was closed so I decided to try Novel nails since it is by my house. I had purple polish and wanted a simple white tip gel. First of all she didn't even remove all the purple polish around my cuticles and when she was doing the white tip she was not cleaning the brush after each stroke or even finger so she just smeared white all above the line. She also only did 1 coat of thin white so you can see dark spots from her paint brush strokes so now I have purple patches on my nails and dark spots on my white tips. I kept telling her and asking her to fix it but she just kept saying "I didn't do the clear coat yet" LADY that's not going to fix the purple patches or dark spots! I was so frustrated I just gave up asking her to fix them I do not recommend this place! read more

I want to start by saying that my intention isn't to ruin this business's reputation, but to speak up about behavior that made me uncomfortable and to share my honest experience. I went to this salon a few months ago because my aunt had recommended it. I showed the male technician photos of what I wanted, and he said "no problem." As he worked, he commented several times about how small my nails were and how he was doing "extra work" because of them. He then offered to add a "blood" design on top of what I'd shown him, which I agreed to, but it ended up looking very unrealistic and not what I expected. When he started painting the French tips, they were uneven and not straight. I politely asked him to fix them, but he insisted that he had 30 years of experience and that they looked fine. I stood my ground and asked if another employee could take a look. Helen, who was nearby, agreed that the tips were uneven, and only then did he fix them. He then told me I was "too picky." I tried to stay polite and explained that I understood it can be challenging working with women all day because I work with women too, but he repeated that I was just picky. When I went to pay, Helen apologized and said she could tell I wasn't happy with my set. I still tipped $5 even though I didn't like my nails. The next day, I went back and Helen kindly fixed them free of charge. Later, I spoke with my aunt, who told me she stopped going to the salon because the same man had made her uncomfortable by flirting with her and asking if she had a husband, even after she said she was married with children. This man was dismissive, unprofessional, and made both of us uncomfortable. But not just me and my aunt also Helen, I could clearly tell that she felt bad about how he was acting. When I went back for the fix, he didn't greet or acknowledge me at all, even though I had paid and tipped him. Helen, however, was very kind and professional. If you do decide to visit this salon, I highly recommend asking for Helen and avoiding the male technician. read more
