Excellent. Highly recommended. I hate snow in the city but Novus makes it slightly more bearable.

They also I dist on "early bird" payment for snow service in the summer -- $500 which gets you absolutely nothing! They are also hard to reach by phone and don't answer calls very quickly. You might consider the more reasonably priced options -- Kinder, and much more trustworthy elsewhere!

Since then, she moved and passed away, but I was still using them to handle our two properties. The first incident was following the first snow. No one showed up and I had to call. They finally sent someone out hours later, stating that they were overwhelmed. When the person came out, the job that they did was definitely not acceptable, but I chalked it up to them having a new system and I was assured the issues had been resolved. Which leads us to the second incident. I was sent a notification two days before the snow hit that I was confirmed to get my properties services at 8:30am for the morning of the snow. At 3pm, my tenant calls and asks if anyone is coming. I call and they assure me that someone is coming, but they are running behind schedule because of the snow. Maybe it's just me, but it's literally your job to work on the days that it snows... how is it that you are overwhelmed? We all knew it was going to be a bad storm days in advance. Anyway, hours later, no one comes. I try to call, but they are closed I text, and get no response. Then... worst part is I get a message that the job was competed at 9pm, but it wasn't. They never showed up. I emailed them saying that no one showed up and the job was marked as done... here's the response I got "Hi, we have some photos that we will send. There was alot of snow and the shovel did a walking b=path... not as wide as we typically do. But it will be sent in the morning after review by supervisor. The was under an emergency ordinance travel was tough and we did and are doing our best. " If they called, emailed or text you, then they spoke to me. I never heard from them. This is the picture I send them of the job they said was done. Had to call my cousin to come out and remove the snow at midnight. What a disappointment.

Eventually I was like "you sold me all new gutters 6 months ago! How could I need them again?!" They were like "uhh, we sold you new ones 6 months ago?" So I switched to NJHMS and have used them for the last several years. They never try to up-sell me new gutters. They come out 4x a year, notify me before and after, the gutters are clean and rarely tell me that I need a small repair. The prices for cleaning and repair are very reasonable. Their home office contact, Doreen, is very professional and efficient. I couldn't be happier.

I'd gone online and read numerous horror stories about companies that rip people off on gutter guards but I needed them desperately so I decided to bite the bullet. I called NJ Home Maintenance and scheduled an appointment for an appointment. A few short days later they arrived at the house for the estimate. They dropped off a few samples along with an explanation sheet explaining the benefits of each. I was rather surprised by the price which I consider to be more than fair. I hired them on the spot and could not be more pleased. The work performed, punctuality and communication were all without parallel. Speaking as someone who is very meticulous with the maintenance of their home, I can recommend them without reservation. Kudos much thanks.

After reviewing the home and talking to the homeowner and I, he sent the price list back by task a la carte style which was good because it allowed my client to pick and choose which tasks they could afford at that time. He and his team time arrived on time and quickly started to work. They were patient as my homeowner and I discussed placement of furniture, etc. And they cleared out a garage of junk in record time and during record temperatures. They went the extra distance by sweeping and clearing out an enormous amount of leaves and debris as well as removing junk for salvage. DPH is a licensed and insured company that actually understands the nuances of doing jobs within a home; they were a pleasure to work with.

I remembered the owner of the company favorably from a differently named local company, so I felt confident hiring them for snow removal on an ad hoc basis. As the owners of a local home, we needed to secure someone quickly to remove the sidewalk accumulation while we were out of town. We were sent a contract which I quickly read--my husband was ill and I was distracted--but I did reply and ask if the contract obligated us in any way after the following day's snowfall, as if we were ourselves able to do the snow removal. The reply was ,"No, you are not obligated. Just let us know when you will be doing it and we will note the list at that time" Mistakenly, I believed this did not obligate us any further, but received a $350 bill for the past two days--when we were again out of town and I was not aware of the approximately 1.6 inches of snow during a storm that impacted the area (as per NWS). When I emailed the company to question the charge as I believed it was in error, I was informed "we do ask that you notify us in advance when you will be handling the snow removal yourselves so we can mark your property accordingly for that event." "Since we did not receive notification prior to the snowfalls on January 17th and January 19th, your property remained on our active service list, and service was completed in accordance with the contract that is currently in effect through December 1, 2026. (We) also want to note that we did not hear from you after the January 17th service, which led us to reasonably proceed with service again on January 19th. For that reason, the invoice reflects services performed on two separate dates and remains due." Legal ? Probably. Unclear? Definitely; IMHO of course. Deceitful? Certainly in my book. Needless to say, I did reply, clearly, today that I wanted to cancel the contract. We actually still do need a company that offers services on an ad hoc basis, but I'll stick with Taskrabbit. Cheaper and way more upfront.
