Upon completion, I had questions at office visit of Dr. Verbic and he dismissed my concerns and told me we would speak at next visit. Made that appointment and when I showed up 2 months later it was just an appointment for an X-ray. I asked why and was told that this is how they do it here. Apparently, due to lack of schedule availability it would take another nearly 2 months to get an answer. He has 3 offices so maybe he's spreading himself thin. Feeling rather uncomfortable about the whole situation, I saw 3 other orthodontists and come to find out that my son has major jaw alignment issues that were not addressed by his treatment. Basically, phase 1 was pointless and just a money grab as he will need full orthodontic treatment again. Beware of his diagnosis!

As I sat with it I grew concerned because the treatment plan included sedation. Expensive and risky. I asked for the X-rays which they sent, but I also requested the plan be written up with a rationale and any other possible options. I'm not a medical professional and do not understand everything thrown at me in the office. There was a follow up phone call where the staff proceeded to tell me verbally the plan. I explained it was intensive and costly and I don't understand so I would like it written up and may seek a second option to make sure this was the right path. I was told they welcomed a second option but that my $1000 deposit was non refundable. I found this really disconcerting. I understand the need of a deposit but when there is genuine concern and you have to make decisions on the spot, I also think making it no refundable with prior notice is poor customer service which I expressed to them. They then sent me an email telling me "our professional bond had been broken". Very concerning for a parent looking to be more informed in making medical decisions for their child. First I felt pressured to agree, then I felt vilified for asking questions.

He is extremely motivated to get you the smile you have always dreamt of! I asked a friend of mine who is a general dentist who I should see about having my teeth corrected again, after failed tries in the past and he recommended dr Wardell. From the first phone call I was overwhelmed with the amount of professionalism and care that his office staff took with my individual case. They made me feel that my goal for the "perfect " smile was reasonable and doable. They spent valuable time with me going over treatment options and costs. His staff is just a delight to work with. They always greet me with a smile and are excited to see my results, maybe more excited then me! Lol. That being said we decided to give Invisalign another chance but he promised that if the Invisalign failed to give me the results I was looking for that he would put on the traditional wire braces and make sure my teeth were perfect before finishing the treatment. We agreed on a price and it was fair ( the price I paid was more then fair for what he has done for me. ) now all that being said the Invisalign failed to work for me so he did apply the braces. The office got me in for my apts for adjustments and even with covid they got me in when a wire was hurting me badly. They did it no questions asked. I have about 2 more weeks in metal braces and my last apt they will apply the permanent retainer and send me home with a new Beautiful smile. Their office is clean and they follow covid guidelines to a T. ( even thou it completely sucks to have to follow all the guidelines, they make it seem not so bad) this is a credit to dr Wardell and his fantastic office staff. This has been the month of dentists for me, as a small throbbing pain took me to my general…read moredentist, then to an endodontist for a root canal (not as bad as I thought), and finally to Main Street Smiles for an extraction and implant. Don't need to bore/gore you with the details, but I will say that all of my recent dental experiences have been way friendlier and less traumatic than what I can remember from my younger days visiting the dentist. I mean, did your dentist have flat screen tvs for you to watch while you got your tooth pulled? Main Street Smiles has it all. From a super friendly reception area to a charming office converted from a downtown home in main street Barrington, honestly, it feels less like going to the dentist and more like visiting a family member. For my procedures, I had Dr. Pattani, and he immediately put me at ease by confirming the procedures involved, showing me detailed images, and sharing how routine an extraction/implant procedure actually is. My endodontist mentioned that my case might be a bit more complicated, but Dr. Pattani did his due diligence, exploring, researching, and ultimately coming to his own conclusion as to what treatment/next steps were needed. Following the first major procedure, he personally checked on me several times to make sure my recovery was going well. In my case, I had very little pain and I'm eager to see the results of the implant take hold in future visits. It's all smiles for me here. And yes, those flat screen TVs are for real. If only I could schedule my cleanings on football days!
