I honestly regret coming here. From the very first appointment, it felt like they were pushing hard for a positive review,almost like you're being bribed to say something nice before you even experience any real treatment. Sure, the front desk and initial visit feel overly welcoming, but that quickly fades once you're actually in the chair. The quality of care during treatment is completely different; rushed, inattentive, and honestly frustrating. There's a clear disconnect between how they present themselves upfront and how things actually run behind the scenes. Another huge red flag is how often the staff changes. Every time I've been there, it feels like there's a whole new team. That kind of turnover says a lot, and it definitely affects the consistency of care. The doctor herself is very avoidant. It's hard to get direct answers or feel like your concerns are being taken seriously. On top of that, not even wearing loupes during procedures feels unprofessional and careless & especially in a setting where precision matters. On top of everything, the office itself is noticeably dirty. It doesn't feel clean or well-maintained, which is the last thing you want in a medical or dental setting. Was looking for a new dentist and came across this one on ZocDoc as taking Cigna PPO and decent reviews... I was a little on the fence with all the glamour shots on the site but its cool if youre feeling yourself. =) Appreciated the technical efficiency of electronic surveys and forms sent before the appointment in a format where it was checkboxes and dropdown menus. Much better than typing into your phone. What wasnt super cool was the feeling that my insurance was a free ticket to rack up all the possible covered charges from GO. I had a full set of xrays in an online storage folder from December I didnt need more in March... without asking they had planned a whole slew of diagnostics... when I just asked for/wanted a exam, pocket check, and perio (cleaning)... I also had bitewings from a Perio Consult in January. The last straw was being told that the staff spend 2-3 hours checking my insurance coverage to make sure all these things were covered... when I asked why they were so sure it was available... note their papers have you explicitly sign-off that services may not be covered by insurance so thats kinda the opposite. Just overall money grab vibes. Eeeek. Not feeling this would be a place with quality care. I had to update to say I no longer recommend this place since Dr jig is no longer there. THE ENTIRE staff has been replaced too with no mention of this transition until several months too late into the takeover. I even asked how Dr Jig was doing and they talked about him as if he would be back. I was really confused at first and assumed the new staff were part of the team I had trusted for years. When I was told I needed crown work done, I trusted the dentist who i assumed was hired under Dr Jig to do a good job. It's been almost a year now and I am suffering from the poor job they did. I hate to write this review for a place I once raved about to all my friends but the way the transition happened left me really confused. I also usually like it when i am warned about what will happen next during a cleaning or work but I was jolting a lot from pain or pressure that was sudden. Dr Bhumika Patel has no bedside manner. She is more focused on selling services than dental care. She spent a total of 15 min on teeth cleaning and stepped out at some point without providing any feedback or allowing me to ask questions. I have tried calling for over a week. Only to receive voice message after voice message "which in fact, I can't leave one". This practice now has changed dramatically. I now am forced to get a new dentist. This practice bills out of the network, although they tell you they will bill the CIGNA prices and agree to the CIGNA payments. From the moment I sat down and had my 7 minute teeth cleaning to getting a crown and trying to get a follow up appointment to NO AVAIL. I honestly do not think they want any of Dr. Jig Patel's patients and at this point, I will never go back there, nor will I ever refer this place to anyone. "WHAT A JOKE". I honestly feel humiliated after being a patient there for years. Although I can't even get a human to talk to me, I get a text saying they mailed invoices for the old dentist. Instead of worrying about what they did to a patients TOOTH. The only one who was nice was Jasmine at the front desk. Lost my business and my TRUST. On my intake questionnaire, I listed "cosmetics" as my #1 most important! How vain, right?! Well, in my industry, looks are a big thing! When searching for services, I also pay attention to the appearance and cleanliness of the facility, doctors, and staff. I like to look at the staff's teeth to have an idea of how nice my teeth could possibly look.... hey, just being honest! :D I also pay attention to the atmosphere, vibe, and relationship of the staff the members. I look for a team who is passionate about their careers and who also work well together. It's all about good vibes and positive energy with me! (I get all of these answers just by looking at the website!) I must say that my visit to Schaumburg Dental Studio May 10th was one like no other. Unlike many other medical offices, I did not feel rushed through my appointment. This meant A LOT to me because it happens far too often in the medical field due to an "in and out" policy to serve as many patients as possible for cash flow. I felt like I was not just listened to, but HEARD! It's was pretty cool how the staff makes customer service their priority from the time you walk in the door. I must admit, I was taken aback at first when greeted because of never having such friendly and personalized greetings at past offices (the staff members comes from behind the desk to introduce you to the team and to give you a tour). It's nice that they offer gift cards for each referral and are involved with helping the community. Tania, my hygienist was awesome!! She did not touch me until she had an organic conversation with me to learn who I was, my job, my worries and concerns, and to answer all of my questions. She then seemed to customize my cleaning to the areas I had problems with. The cleaning was not rushed and was also extremely thorough which I REALLY appreciated! She really took attention to my mention of "cosmetics" being of great importance for me as a stylist. Thanks Tania!! I hope I get you again the next time!! The entire time, one staff member passes along your story to the next staff member you'll be interacting with. It was almost kind of freaky to have this great of customer service, but I LOVED it!!! It really showed that they cared about you as well as their reputation! Dr. Neumann was very friendly and checked my problem areas. Going in expecting the worse, I was pleasantly surprised that I had very little work to be done after not having a dental checkup in a while. I loved that they had a "we can fix it" attitude instead of scolding you and making you feel like a bad person (which a lot of dentists tend to do). Overall, an awesome experience and I can't wait to go back for my consultation for braces and teeth whitening with Dr. Patel in a few weeks! Bonus Story: (as if I haven't written enough!) I mentioned that I would have my mom come in when we came back from vacation and that she was extremely fearful of the dentist. So crazy that they remembered this when she came for her visit and so they were very sensitive to this. They offered her headphones to drown out the noise from the drills and took great care of her! When I had to move to the city I still continued to travel back to the burbs for all my dental needs. I have been a patient of SDS for seven years, since 2009. Long story short, I came to Dr. Patel on an emergency (root canal) when another Dentist told me I had to wait a week. Dr. Patel and his staff at the time heard my story and pain. I came in within 15 minutes! Talk about caring for your patients. Talk about the attentiveness. Talk about first impression! Anyhow, that was back in 2009 and no matter where we moved to, this is a place that we stuck with and will continue to be patients until SDS decides to retire. Yes, there are new faces each visit, but you will also see the core members. They don't bombard you when you come in, they want to make sure that you feel noticed and that you are taken care of (trust me, if they didn't simply say hi to you you'd think "rude"). If you feel bombarded, go to a dealership and come back to SDS and then compare. Anyhow, the main staff there (that I can remember names) are Amanda, Dolly, and Lizette. I remember Dolly & Amanda joining after Krupa & Molly left. (this shows how long of patients we were!) My daughter, who started coming here when she was four and is not twelve, loves each and every visit. She's only gotten regular cleaning and those are breeze. SDS is so great with children. I notice it each and every time I see another child of all ages enter their facility. Dr. Patel, No doubt he knows what he is doing as a dentist. He has a lot of new technology in his office and the office staff is very soft spoken and nice. The biggest draw back is that, he is the only Dentist and has very LESS availability. Secondly, he is rough when he give local anesthesia. Thirdly, if a patient has emergency and it doesn't require billing insurance or any copay to the clinic, they are NOT considered priority. The clinic is closed sometimes Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Very inconvenient and non-cooperative. They know how to sell their business very well by showing the patients around and by doing sweet talks. But when it comes to catering the customer after a procedure is done, they are horrible. I will never take my family back to this clinic. May be I am being very judgmental here, but I know the pain I am going through with my un-even Jaw. read more

This dental office is pretty cool. I've referred most of my family to them because they do a great job and are pretty affordable. Everyone is friendly and they work in a timely fashion. I've never had to wait more than 10 mins to be seen. I did have a scheduling issue this past visit where I scheduled two separate appointments. When I showed up for the first one, I wasn't on their schedule. Instead of shooing me away and waiting to see me at my next appt, they accommodated me and actually took care of the sensitivity I was having as well as my dental cleaning. So now I don't have to come in again. I thought that was pretty sweet of them. We started out by being greated and given a tour by Katie , we then had the pleasure of getting Tania as our tech she was not only amazingly patient with my 7 yr old daughter but friendly and answered all my questions. I came here when it was an emergency situation and couldn't get in to see my dentist. I cracked a tooth and found out I needed a root canal. Booked my appointment... had the root canal and had the temp crown put on. A week later had to get the actual crown, turns out the dentist who did the root canal "is no longer with this practice". A new dentist put the crown on, finds out it doesnt fit and shows a lot of my tooth. Need to re-make one. Come back a week later, try to fit the crown, still does not fit. Had to come back another week, fits but you can kind of see my a tiny bit of my dead tooth, dentist says its fine and wont affect anything with my tooth if it was showing, at this point I say leave it. I asked the new dentist about the pain I was still having. He ensures it will go away my tooth is healing. Still had same pains months later, went to new dentist and turns out I have cavities all around the tooth and crown. I will need another root canal because the first one was not done properly. I did give 2 stars, for convenience and availability on appointment. I think the dentist who left, did a horrible job but not the fault of the second dentist I saw. read more

I was recommended to this location from my boyfriend (now husband) when I first moved into the area. Brief story time! I didn't have dental insurance at first but they were still willing to see me for a consultation. From the moment I met the staff (Amanda, Sheila, Claudia and the crew) and Dr. Patel, I knew I wanted to be there to help with my dental needs! They made me feel so very comfortable and welcomed which I appreciated especially because I had not been to a dentist in, at that point, 12 years. When I finally acquired the insurance I needed, I was ecstatic to go back and they welcomed me just the same. I am currently having my orthodontic work and it has been smooth and I am in love with my results. I highly recommend coming here if you are researching where to go for a dentist or orthodontist. 1 star for the dentists, 5 star for the hygienist. Went in for a basic root canal that got messed up from the dentist and had to get a full implant. even though they paid for it, it was still a big inconvenience for me. Gave them the benefit of the doubt went in for a cavity after that and now I'm having problems with that filling smh. 'till the moment Dr. Patel waves you a 'see you later' you can feel assured that you are in great hands. Dr. Patel is not only a courteous and very experienced dentist, he is efficient and meticulous - which is exactly what I wanted while having two Crowns prepared and my cavities filled. I appreciate his genuine and honest nature - if you don't need something then he'll let you know. My husband and I are very pleased with the service we have received. They have accommodated our urgent/emergency cases immediately without hesitation. Dr. Pawluk - a fabulous endodontist, also works from the office on Friday's which makes it convenient to have all your work done in one place! Between the two of us we have exceeded our insurance limit and have thousands of dollars in dental bills - the Schaumburg Dental Studio staff has been patient in explaining to us what works requires immediate attention and worked with us to prepare a comfortable treatment and payment plan. Called last minute on a Saturday for a chipped tooth and they took us in right away and helped.

Try avoiding this clinic... I was overcharged by almost 4X times and never got a refund even after repeated attempts (my insurance had paid the doc). My COB clearly explained what I was supposed to pay (but I had already paid 4X to the dental clinic and never got any refund). My piece of advice: Be sure you check what your insurance pays and what the Schaumburg Dental Studio charges.
