Made an appointment that was 3 weeks out for a recall and the check was engine light on due to the purge valve and canister). I already had the code read and spoke with them when I made the appointment about replacing them. I went to pick up my car when it was ready after 5 and a half hours only to be charged 120 dollars (an hour of labor) for them to read the code and tell me exactly what I already knew was wrong. A waste of an entries day and 120 dollars. The customer service is garbage and they are crooks. read more

I have to concur with Victoria D. Frustration and the runaround is what I have been given by the service department. What I was led to believe was to be an hour or 2 to fix ended up being a 9 hour wait at the shop for me and my dog. The issue still was not resolved. With my permission the mechanic took the car for the weekend to "regenerate". Returned to me with an empty tank of gas and uncleaned. Another bad review on Noyes' record, got a timing belt done at 61,767miles on my 2.0 n/a 5 spd Jetta. Claimed they did the belt, brought the car to an honest VW dealer, they say it looks like it wasn't done. 21k miles goes by and guess what... POP, there goes the head! If you're looking for dishonest and shotty work definitely give Noyes a try! I don't normally leave reviews, nor was I asked by Noyes VW to come by here and review them. I just bought a car from them and it was the greatest car buying experience anyone could have asked for 1. All of the negotiations were done over email. I didn't speak to a person until the day before I picked up the car. 2. They offered a trade-in estimate over email but I did have to go by to have them visually inspect it 3. I ordered some parts (small modifications) to the car and had them sent to Noyes VW. They installed them for me before I even picked it up and charged a flat-fee. 4. The staff was friendly, no-pressure and insanely relaxed about everything. i never felt stressed. 5. I arrived and did a test drive, all paperwork was ready for me to sign and I drove away 45 minutes later. 6. I was not pressured for any clear-coat protector, maintenance package or extended warranty. I mentioned over email that I wasn't interested in this and they never brought it up. I've been a customer of Noyes for 5 years give or take. In total, my immediate family has bought 6 vehicles from them in that time. Unfortunately, my last few service appointments have been abysmal. I scheduled a 80,000 mile service for my golf tdi (another nightmare) at 4 pm. The person I talked to on the phone was very short with me ( not Andrew) especially when I double checked the time- since I knew this kind of service can take multiple hours- and he insisted that it was fine. I got to Noyes 15 minutes early for my appointment, and upon walking in the door Andrew informs me that I'm late. News to me. He tells me my appointment was at 1. I am a teacher, there is no way I scheduled an appointment before 3:30. He then tells me the all weather tires I've had stored there all winter junk. Why this wasn't told to me when I put my winter tires on is beyond me. He then proceeds to insist on servicing my car and saying that I can get the whole 80000 mile service another day when I have time. Fine by me. I proceed to wait for an hour (fine) in which time it becomes increasingly clear that this all feels pretty weird and crappy and I'm being treated really dismissively. When I get to billing, lo and behold, they are trying to charge me for a 10,000 mile check-up. For clarification I ask if this is going to be taken out of the $400+ fee for the 80,000. "No." I then ask why they had me still do a service if they knew I was coming back in a few days. I got a very mumbled round-about answer. After some back and forth, I got a verbal confirmation that they would combine the services and take the charge out from the next service, but it was like pulling teeth. The weird, dismissive, and accusatory tone I was treated with was the last straw in series of similar incidents. This combined with the the diesel scandal has guaranteed I will stay far away from VW as soon as I've spend that "goodwill package" dealer-only money. read more

Had a very disappointing experience with this dealership and service department. We brought our 2019 Tiguan in 4,000 miles late for its 10,000 maintenance. Shortly after dropping it off, we received a phone call saying that all of our tires were shot and it would need all new tires. We were shocked as it hasn't been driven much in the last few months due to covid and when in daily use was not driven hard. We purchased the vehicle from them less than a year ago brand new. We did not expect the tires on a brand new vehicle to be completely shot in less than a year. When we questioned this with the service tech he became flustered and said the manager would need to call us. Spencer Noyes calmed and said since we were late our 10,000 mile service, they wouldn't cover anything, that our front tires were almost bald, and the back ones were "all chunked up" so even rotating them wouldn't help and wasn't safe. We called the tire company and they let us know that if this was truly the case the dealership would be reimbursed and we could receive new tires. We tried calling Noyes to ask about this and they did not take our call and called us later to let us know it was ready for pick up. When I picked up the car I asked the tech to show me where the concerns on the tires were as I am not a mechanic. He told me they were all fine, I persisted and he reluctantly came out to my car. He showed me the measurement and said the tires were not bald as were were told but that he "scored us a great deal" if we came back in a few thousand miles for 50% off two tires. I asked about the other two tires being "all chunked up" he stated that he never said that. I let him know that he and the manager Spencer has told us that on the phone and I was very concerned. He said that "Spencer is like the accountant and he (the tech) is the plumber" so he has nothing to do with what Spencer has told us on the phone. I asked why Spencer would tell us that and where he got that information. The tech encouraged us to speak to Spencer. In the front, we were told that Spencer was out to lunch and since he is the boss would be a while. They said he had been gone close to an hour so would be back soon and we could wait. We waited about 15 minutes before we were told he would be another 30-45 minutes. I could not wait any longer so I asked that he call us. I called later in the day and he had already left, I again asked that he call me. Days have gone by and the only response I got was a reply to a review I left saying I was trying to extort them for free labor and an email saying that since I left a poor review I could not get my vehicle serviced with them ever again. If having your new vehicle serviced by Volkswagen in Keene is a priority- I cannot recommend this dealership. This experience has left us with an incredibly bad taste and anyone who asks how we like our new car will hear about it. read more

Let me start off by explaining how I am when it comes to my car. I have a very hard time trusting anyone with my car. I don't let people drive it, touch it, and heaven forbid someone rides in it and spills a drink. Not that I'm saying it's anything fancy, I just love it, that's all. That's right the -ohmygodtheychargeSOmuch- place. The dealer I chose was Noyes because I had heard a few good things from other VW owners. Here is why I love them: -Staff is knowledgeable (I believe you have to know your sh*t) -Staff is friendly -Staff doesn't treat me like an idiot. (Ladies- ever walk into one of those tires shops and unless being assisted by a man they look at you like your crazy? Yeah, no thanks.) -They are fully aware of the fact that I'm a poor college student and they do not over-charge me. -Whenever I bring my car in for service, they check it out to make sure things are going well (or not, it IS a VW.) They often warn me in advance and I either make another appointment or do the work myself to save money. -When in a bind, they fit me in right away. -Speedy service, almost always have parts on hand, ready to go. My only complaint: -"We will call you in a couple of hours to let you know how it's going" really means..."You will have to call in a few hours to see how it's going..." Finally, here's my advice to you: Stay loyal! They will remember that you spend money there and that can only benefit you. read more

When I purchased my car from here I was offered a detail of the car. It could not happen right then because the detailing department was closed due to Covid. Obviously Covid shutdowns have still been going on for the past year and was never informed by the dealer that the services was back open. Called today and Spencer told me that the detail was only good for 30 days and they will NOT clean our car. Plain and simple, ANDREW their service "manager" is a joke. I've left their crying on numerous occasions because of how he treats me and my car, and forget asking to speak to Mr. Noyes about a complaint, Andrew will tell you he's not in the building that day (even though you've heard him paged for a phone call over the PA). Another employee at Noyes actually told me that Andrew treats all his customers and coworkers that way and that I shouldn't take it personally. Mr. Noyes, please do all of us loving VW owners a favor and find a replacement for Andrew. Until then I'll have all my work (excluding free services, that I'll go to Nashua for, even though I live in Keene) done at Swanzey Truck and Auto in Swanzey or at DTM Autowerks in Milford NH. I received the brush off on a warranty issue! The story: I went in this morning to have pictures of a rust bubble on my fender taken and sent to vw. I had called in advance and was told that I needed to see there warranty person so they could take pictures. When I got there a sales person was confused when I asked for their warranty person. When he did understand me and came back with someone, they went to do pictures then yet another individual (male) came out to tell me they were all set and needed my number and that she (refering to the warranty person) would send the pictures out later today and that it may be months for a reply. Wow, where do I start. The only positive would be the sales team, as others say they are sharp and really know their cars. That's pretty much where it ends. I purchased a 2002 Used VW Jetta for my daughter as I wanted something reliable as she went to college. It was a bit pricey as those cars seem to hold their value and you pay for the fact that they run and run without issue. I also purchased an extended warranty, just in case. So, here we are about 15K miles later and the car has been in and out of service for the last 6 months. Unfortunately, I don't believe it is the car completely. The service department at Noyes leaves a lot to be desired. I worked with Andrew and his customer service skills are some of the worst I've ever experienced and I've worked in the services field my whole life. He promises to keep you informed but doesn't call when he is supposed too and the car seems to disappear for days every time it's dropped off. There is just no excuse for this in my opinion. If you are too busy then tell the customer and give them the option to get serviced somewhere else. Don't say it will be a day or two and take weeks. The car has been brought in for the same issue several times and Noyes has replaced part after part to the point where it now needs a transmission. And do you think they will take any responsibility for it? None whatsoever. My warranty company who has been very good with every car I've owned actually recommended me to get a second opinion. Seems that Noyes will only put a new transmission into the car not a used or rebuilt one that the warranty company is suggesting and the cost is well over 6K to fix of which the warranty will only cover up to 5K. This was after it recently being in for service and me getting a call a couple of days late with a list of parts and service the car needed including wipers and light bulbs, of which I called back stating I would replace those myself and not to do it for $30 each. So, I show up and sure enough all the bulbs and wipers were replaced. Andrew's only explanation was, "we all ready had changed those even though we were waiting for other parts on your car to be delivered". I could go on and on about the horror story here but I will end with I will never buy another car from Noyes and I especially will not seek service from them again even though I just bought an Audi A4. It will be serviced at another dealership almost 30 miles away. Beware before taking your car here, there are much better options out there. read more

I moved to the area 2 years ago from a place with a VW dealership I trusted and liked. So, when I found Noyes, I was happy to continue bringing my car to a dealership. My car was up for 80k service - however, I had done quite a few items related to this service and did not require the entire 80k service. The Owner's manual lists all of the items on the standard 80K service, about half of which are just 'checking', ie. 'check windshield washer fluid' and ' check cooling system level'-- Noyes quoted us at $440 for this service. We went back and forth over the phone to specify the items to be done with the Service Manager, Andrew and settled on replacing the fuel filter, air filter, oil change, and tire rotation. After some discussion he mentions that the last time I brought my car in for service they noticed that the inner CV boot was cracked and leaking grease. No one ever mentioned this. I asked why I hadn't been told about this and Andrew said it was probably because they never keep that part in stock. So instead of mentioning it, ordering the part and scheduling a repair, they took it upon themselves not to disclose the issue. Strike 1. Upon dropping the car off, Andrew said "OK, so 80k service?' and pointed at the VW spec sheet. I reminded him of our earlier discussions and re-iterated the work to be done. I told him that I assume whenever my car is up on the lift, you perform regular checking to identify any issues that need to be addressed. He said 'if you bring the car in just for oil change (points to spec sheet), you only get this done". Now, wouldn't it be in a mechanic's best interest to 'check' my car for issues that may need repairs? Not only is their customer service completely lacking, but the fact that the Service Manager communicated that my car would NOT be checked unless I PAY for checking, was just way too much for me. I wish I didn't have to, but I'll be bringing me car elsewhere. read more

We received a chilly reception from the salesmen today. We stopped in and asked for a Tiguan brochure and were treated very coldly. We received no welcome, no smiles, and only minimal communication from either salesman on the floor, even after I identified myself as a VW owner who has her car serviced at this dealership for years. I am extremely loyal to VW and very baffled by how we were treated. We are polite and tidy. Why treat us like trash? Do they expect an immediate sale and therefore disdain folks who aren't ready to sign the second they enter the showroom? This is the last thing I expected, especially because I've always been impressed with their service department and the good treatment I receive. I am always singing their praises to others. Now I'd go elsewhere before purchasing from Noyes if this is how they treat buyers. John was the man we spoke to and he was as icy as can be, maybe even defensive when we asked if VW makes anything on the lines of the crossover vehicles by other manufacturers, and challenged me on the Tiguan mileage I saw at the main VW site. It was like pulling teeth to even get a business card from him. They should take a tip from the friendly, helpful folks at the nearby Subaru dealership. We'll place an order with them instead of VW. It's time to shift our car shopping elsewhere from VW. read more

I would never by a car here. When I entered the building, for the second time, there were at least 3 people on the sales floor and no one asks if they can help you. I had test driven a used Tiguan on my first visit. I needed to think about the purchase and in the mean time they called me to tell me that they dropped the price and asked if I were still interested. I told them I was interested and would be in on a Thursday at 9 am (less than 48 hours later). The sales person, who wasn't even there when I showed up, told me that he thought I was coming on Saturday and that there was already a deposit on the car. I was disgusted at the treatment of their potential customer. I have owned four VWs in my life and I have always had good experiences at other VW dealers. I would recommend that you find a different VW dealer. read more

Several times I've done some of the service items and asked him to just do the oil change and fuel filter, and he's been fine with that and charged us only for those things. I had the best buying experience at Noyes Volkswagen in Keene. It was the first time I was taking the step of buying my first car. The staff at the business were so helpful and patient considering this was my first time buying a car. The car salesmen that assisted me throughout the entire process was Michael. When my mother and I first got there he allowed me look at certain cars and then gave me in-depth details about the car I was thinking of purchasing. When I decided on the car I wanted, he allowed me take it out for a test drive and than Michael took me for a test drive himself and showed me how to use the "sport" mode within the car. After all that was done he went step by step through the car showing me how to use everything in the car. He assisted me w/ all the paperwork, step by step and then the other staff assisted answering questions that were not in his department. Once everything was said and done and I purchased my car, I was able to call back a couple weeks later due to having questions about something in the car. Michael was able to walk me through what to do and how set the time on my dashboard. Overall it was the best experience I could have hoped for and its very obvious the staff there really care about the customers and do not attempt to rush you into buying a car or make you feel pressured. Michael and the other staff were extremely professional and I will most defineitly be a Volkswagen buyer for life and hopefully all my future purchases will be at this dealership. read more

Took my wife's Audi here for an oil change once. Later that week when I refilled the washer fluid reservoir, I found a brand new oil plug sitting on top of the radiator shroud. They charged me like $20 for a new plug because they said the old one was damaged. This made me nervous as I now had no idea what condition my oil pan was in. I had no choice but to jack up the car, remove the under engine shroud and inspect my car. The plug was there and fine. Now this is 90% of doing the oil change yourself. So when I went back and explained what happened hoping they would be reasonable and discount the oil change for my trouble and time or apply a discount towards a future oil change what do you think they said? They accused me of lying about getting under my car and said they best they could do is to give me my money back for the oil plug (the oil plug that was brand new that I handed back to them because they never installed it). When I asked them about the old plug they said, "It's fine, don't worry about it." Then why did you tell my wife it needed a new one and charged her $20 extra for it. I understand mistakes happen but it's how you correct your mistakes that really determines your character. Their Parts Department is friendly and very knowledgeable but if you need an Audi or VW part try Auto Parts International first. They are right next door and have a lot of those hard to find parts for a lot cheaper than Noyes. read more

I agree with Robert P. Andrew lacks whatever it would take to keep a customer. When I dropped off my car I reminded him I had an extended warranty. When I called to check on my car he said the warranty had expired. I told him that wasn't so because I had called the company myself and hadn't reached those miles yet. He insisted he checked and it was done and I had to pay the entire amount. After picking up my car I called my warranty company and they stated no one had called them and the repair would have been covered but they wouldn't pay after the fact. I was furious. I called Andrew back and tried to get him to do something about this and he put the blame back on me telling me I didn't tell him I had a different warranty. He called Volkswagen and that warranty had expired. We went round and round until I finally hung up on him because he was making me so angry. Two days later a woman called to see if I was happy with the service. When I told her what had happened she said she would check on it and call the warranty company to see what could be done. Never heard from anyone! I had to call the warranty company myself, plead my case explaining what the dealer did, fax them all the information and invoices and they did reimburse me less my deductible and a bit less so I assume Noyes billed me more than the warranty allowed for that repair. I decided to give them one more chance. I called to make an appointment because my rear end was making a loud noise and was told by Andrew the next available appointment was a week away. When I told him I was surprised that I would have to wait that long, he was indignant about how he only had two mechanics. No "I'm sorry" or is this an emergency or can you drive your car, or do you need a loaner or any other consoling or helpful comment. I felt like he was blaming me for him being so busy he couldn't fit me in. That was it. Called another dealer and got in the next day! Bye bye Noyes! read more

My fiancée knew exactly what she was looking for, and there was no doubt in my mind that she would find it. Arnie, as she has affectionately named the 2011 VW Golf parked in front of our house, was waiting for her in New Hampshire, at Rob Noyes Volkswagen. We live in Rhode Island, and traveling that far for a used car seemed to me like a long road home if you weren't happy with what you found. Not to mention, what if the car had a problem? I voiced my concern, but knew my fiancee would make the best decision for herself, and really us, with whatever car she ended up buying. Abby reviewed her options (a short list of cars that fit her parameters gleaned from A LOT of research,) and decided that Arnie was worth the trip. And he looked good, too. Certified, 20,000 miles, a rare beautiful blue and in great condition. The only thing that raised a few eyebrows was that the car had been registered under a commercial title for the first two years of its life. However, the car was being sold as certified, and thus, guaranteed by The dealership. When you buy a car from a man who puts his name on the door and on everything he sells, you trust that the man behind the name will be a man like Rob Noyes. A man of integrity, honesty and kindness. The guarantee Mr. Noyes taped to the inside of the window was probably written like a million other guarantees in used VW's across the country, but he's the kind of guy that backs it up. I know this because that damn commercial title came back to haunt us all, and Abby had a mess on her hands. As it turned out, the car had been owned by Zipcar, had been in one un-reported fender bender, and was sold to Mr. Noyes at auction. It had, unbeknownst to him, a very serious electrical problem, too. I'm sure that's a risk that isn't uncommon at auto auctions, or to any independent dealership owner. The trained technicians would certainly find any problems during the inspection and certification process, and those problems would be resolved prior to the car going on the lot. Unfortunately, the technician who was tasked with Arnie didn't do his job properly, and to be honest, probably didn't even open up the hood. Leaving Abby, in the very genuine, and service driven hands of her saleswoman Deb, in a bad way. She drove it, checked it out, decided it was the car she wanted and traded in her Subaru along with a lot of money, and the promise to give them a lot more over the next five years. (As an aside, I am confident Mr. Noyes has dealt appropriately with the employee that failed him.) Keys in hand, she drove back through Massachusetts, and was on top of the world. When she took the car in to her long-standing mechanic for the state inspection sticker, the thing he said that stands out the most was he believed it was illegal for that car to have been sold to her. He found a handful of fuses that didn't belong anywhere near a VW, strange spliced wires, and an instrument cluster that had been tampered with, so it wouldn't display any warning lights. Probably because a lot of those lights would be on if they had been working properly. She immediately called the dealership and was connected to Mr. Noyes. He apologized, and arranged for his son to drive a brand new Passat down the next day, and fix whatever needed it. After a week, and an initial repair, the car was returned, passed inspection and all seemed well. But the ghosts returned a few short weeks later, and we, steamed, called the dealership - insisting that our local VW dealership fix the car, and Mr. Noyes pay the bill. Which he did, apologetically, and sincerely. Arnie is a welcome part of our lives, has a great story and runs like a top. The ONLY reason this review is getting 2 stars and not 1 is due to the incredible sales service we received from Leo. DO NOT TRUST THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT WITH A 10 FOOT POLE! We bought my husband's Jetta TDI from them in January and ONLY had them service it - there were a couple things going on with the engine shortly after we got it and they "fixed" it each time. As I'm boarding a plane to NC, my husband tells me he has broken down on the side of the highway in Boston - turns out the mechanics left a TOOL in the engine, ripped through the timing belt and damaged several other parts for a couple thousand dollars worth of work and time out of work for my husband! We brought the parts and statement of what happened TO Noyes (including the tool) and they said it was IMPOSSIBLE that it was theirs - they only have "one" of those tools! They took no responsibility and we were left paying over and over for issues to be fixed because of this. Absolutely ridiculous. Leo, I sure hope you head out and find a more trustworthy place, because while the dealership itself might be nice, the service department you have SUCKS. read more

Bought a Jetta here nine years ago and it's been a fantastic car - no issues at all. Still runs perfectly. Take it to Noyes for all routine maintenance because I have found everyone there to be very helpful and knowledgeable. Andrew, in particular, has always gone out of his way to help, and is a real gem. I trust him completely and would recommend him -- and Noyes in general -- without hesitation. read more

This AM we stared out on 2hr rt to pick up my new per owned Jetta.. Test drove it on Mon. The sales person, Michael, was out on Wed for a funeral so we said we'd be in on Thursday. Called him yesterday and told him we wanted the car for sure but would it be ok to come today (Fri). No problem he says I'm here Friday is fine. Told him I had secured the loan and talked to my insurance.. Asked him to check to be sure the price was the same. He never called me back so on our way down to pick up the car I phoned him. Got the sales manager instead who told me. "We have a deposit on that vehicle" no one ever bothered to call us and tell us they sold the car out from under us. We offered twice to put down a deposit but Michael explained they were not that type of place, no need to worry. Guess a handshake and a persons word just doesn't mean much to these folks.. read more

This review could have gone either way so let me explain as briefly as I can because no one really wants to read a long review! I was looking for a specific car and I found in at Noye's VW. I live in Providence, RI so this was a bit of a haul for me but this vehicle was nowhere to be found in my state. I can't say enough nice things about Debbie Nelson who was a my sales woman. I felt extremely comfortable with her and I'd buy a car from her again in a heart beat. So why could this review have gone the other way you ask? Well the vehicle I bought was used but was certified so it came with the signed paperwork saying it had a 112 point inspection of whatever it is. When I got my car home and took it to get inspected the problems started. The check engine light didn't work and when they plugged it into a computer error codes started flying. It failed inspection the day I brought it home from the dealership.This car had obviously not actually been certified. No one in Noye's service seemed to think that possible but long story short ~$5,000 later my car has been reborn! I would never take a vehicle to be serviced at Noye's after this debacle but as hard as it to believe this is a positive review! Rob Noye's the owner of the dealership stands behind his cars. He knew his service team had screwed up and he backed the car and paid for all the repairs (which I had done at a VW dealership in RI) and gave me his word that had he known the car had no really been certified he would never have sold it to me. I believe him and I think he's what a dealership owner should be like. After all of the repairs and money and being without my car for a month while the needed parts were shipped in from Germany I still would buy a car from him based on my experience. He could have washed his hands of it but he didn't and he stood by his car, he gave me his cell phone number and called to check up on the status of the repairs and didn't argue over money. Frankly I'm glad I bought this car from them. Trust Rob Noye's he's an honorable man and I doubt another car will leave that hasn't actually been certified because he spent a lot of his own money to repair my car. read more
