But that is not why I chose to write this review 5 years later. I have since moved to New York and went to have my IUD replaced today as it had been 5 years since the initial insertion. I did not know until today that the IUD I got at Physicians & Midwives was placed incorrectly, and the doctors today spent the better half of an hour finding it inside of me let alone removing it. I wouldn't ever tell a family or friend of mine to seek any sort of service from this practice.

I requested they be sent again and they were still sent wrong. Finally my new dr office reached out to them. 3rd time sent wrong. On the 4th time they sent the correct ones but every single page was facing a different direction. The new office even commented on the lack of professionalism. I requested the office manager reach out to me because of how outrageous this now month long ordeal was. Still haven't heard back. Mind you this is after I decided to change drs because I was not getting the care or representation I felt I should be.

As I mentioned in my original review it was truly a shocking moment to me that I refused to believe had happened considering how long I have been a patient of NWNP. Northwest Nurse Practitioner Associates to me represented everything that a family practice should embody and that is now missing in the health care system : empathy, compassion, knowledge, detailed-oriented, patience, confidence, trust, passion. I found all of the above qualities visiting Erin every years for the past 7 years and that last encounter (over the phone) with the manager was the complete opposite of what I was accustomed to hence my disbelief. I have the utmost respect for her and what she has built over the years and my decision to update my review is solely based on those 7 years. I do not believe that one incident should erase the consistent positive interactions and great care I have received from NWNP over the years. I want to believe that there was a miscommunication between me and the manager and it was not his intend to make me feel unheard. And that was true during that time. But something changed significantly as she transitioned to a sort of direct primary care practice and functional medicine practice. The practice seemed more impersonal. For example she tried to direct me away from monitoring my liver scores when I started taking statins. Although she had previously had the position that medications always have risks in promoting alternative medicine considerations and I had told her of my brother's death from non alcoholic cirrhosis due unmonitored prescription of cholesterol medication she tried to talk me out of the monitoring. At one point I had told her I didn't want to die from cirrhosis her reply was that there were worse ways to die.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This place is heinous…read more They misscheduled me for a visit and made me come back to do it, and send me a HUGE BILL FOR THEIR MISTAKE. I put in a billing request through insurance to get this taken care of and they informed me the bill is valid and I have to pay it in full (did not offer discounts or payment plans) after having to call them for an update. This is legitimately the worst office I have ever been to and would advise anybody to not look in this direction. Absolutely heinous, waste of time, a literal disgrace to be called a healthcare office. What a blow!!!!!
