I very much felt that what we wanted mattered. Even if we weren't entirely sure, that was okay too. They seemed to have no problem brainstorming with us from the get-go. Full disclosure: my wife, Christina W. mostly dealt with NPD and you can read her full review on this Yelp page. But after their passive aggressive statements and blaming the client for their issues, I felt the need to write a review based on my experience with them. When we arrived at the venue, all of the boutonnières were placed on a shelf inside the bridal suite. They were already dry and withering and these weren't sitting in the sun. They weren't labeled and neither I, the groom, nor any of the groomsman knew who had which. The best woman approached one of the florists from NPD and asked if they could help us figure who gets what's they rudely said "NO!" And took off. I understand that during this time they're were rushing to get the ceremony flowers changed (see Christina W's review for more details) but that kind of attitude is beyond rude and the boutonnières should have been properly labeled. Our experience with them has been horrible and I would caution any couple looking to them for floral needs, especially since they were a "recommended vendor" from our venue Coyote Hills. read more

I have nothing but praises to give NPD Events. I gave Carlos my vision and he completely knocked it out of the park. Every hesitation, need, or complaint I had about the wedding process was met with constant support and reassurance from Carlos and I cannot be more grateful. There were so many times I was unsure about certain decorations or how things would look together and Carlos became my sounding board to help my vision become more clear. The week before the wedding I was texting him more than my own friends and he was also responding quicker than my own friends would! I added cake flowers as a quick and passing after thought. I didn't think our cake would be a focal point in any way because it's just cake. But the flowers added onto it made the cake SO gorgeous that some of my favorite wedding photos were with the cake! Again, this is all to the credit of NPD. Aside from the wedding, NPD also came the day before my wedding to my Vietnamese/Chinese tea ceremony to provide a floral arch for the entryway of my mom's house. They even came a few days beforehand to scope out the project and were so thorough. The stunning floral arch was complimented by so many guests. Even a week later, my mom is reluctant to take it down! I am not a sentimental person nor a person that really cares for flowers (i.e. I always told my SO's to NEVER buy me flowers and get me food instead lol) but the arrangements turned out so beautifully that it was difficult for me to accept they would die in a week. I just never in a million years thought flowers would impact me so much. Thankfully, my flowers will live on forever in my photos and I even got my wedding bouquet preserved into a resin tray and coasters. Carlos and NPD Events went above and beyond what was asked of a florist and the result was my absolute dream wedding. Hi Carlos and Nayra, We expected nothing less from NPD than passive aggressive statements and client blaming, based on your previous responses to other past clients with critical reviews. Facts are facts and you were provided pictures of inspiration with specifics of the colors to use and we believed and trusted in the business' capability to follow directions to creatively come up with the final product. Why does the client have to give instructions to what colors shouldn't be used? Our images of the quality of the withering bouquets were taken less than a couple of hours after delivery and the screenshot of Nayra's one text hours before. In the end, we could've worked with you on a solution HAD WE KNOWN about the issues with the sourcing in advance. We even asked for two simple ways to make it right as a good faith gesture, but both were refused and here we are. This is a warning to all couples considering NPD Events for your florals. read more

I was a bridesmaid at my friend's wedding and the whole bridal party had a bad experience with NPD Events. When we arrived at the wedding venue, the bouquets and boutonnieres were already dry and wilting. What's worse is they did not use the colors my friend (the bride) requested and got the colors wrong for the flower arrangements. No apologies or partial refund for their huge mistakes. NPD Events lack professionalism and communication. Also, the way they assembled the big sharp needle in the bouquets was dangerous! What I loved about working with Carlos and Nayra... to begin with... everything! Carlos and Nayra have an unbelievable talent, vision, design aesthetic, degree of professionalism, and contagious personalities that are fun, hilarious, and kind. When  I was looking For a florist for my wedding it was critical that I selected the right company because I am in love with flowers. The flowers needed to be a focal part of our wedding. I selected NPD Events after reviewing so many positive five star reviews and then speaking to both Carlos and Nayra in detail. It was the best decision I made among all the decisions that I had to make for our wedding. The flowers were beautiful and they were exactly as I had wanted them to be. I recently had a small wedding ceremony in my in-laws backyard and hired NPD for floral and decor. They went above and beyond my expectations and were always in communication with me. When our plans unexpectedly changed last minute due to a family health issue, they were so kind and were still able to provide their services. They braved 115 degree heat while setting up and wore masks for both setup and pickup. Even though our ceremony was in a backyard, friends who saw our photos commented that it looked like we were at a legit wedding venue. I cannot speak to their floral work but I am writing this review on the two phone calls I had with Carlos. I had initially contacted Carlos to schedule a consultation for my wedding next year. He was very unprofessional in the manner in which he spoke to me. I was not able to ask the questions I had regarding additional florals I wanted done (outside of the centerpieces that are included in my wedding package with our venue.) He was insistent that I just look at his Instagram page. Eventually he agreed to a consultation visit which I agreed to in order to get all the information I wanted. He only stated that he would see us at his "Irvine location". Upon arrival at his Irvine Blvd office (the one he had on file with the venue, on his website, listed on this Yelp page, and on Google.), which was a law office in which he uses a space with no signage indicating he had an office there, I was told that he does work there but was actually at a different location by the Irvine Spectrum. I called him back and informed him that I was at his other location to which he did not care about the inconvenience and sketchiness of having two locations and unclear manner of indicating such. Overall, Carlos was unprofessional over the phone with me. Updated since the owner is providing false information in their response: screenshots included to show that their Yelp page and website do not indeed have their "Irvine" location. Why are you trying to shuck responsibility for lack of clarity and false information? read more

We just asked them to help with flowers (unfortunately, our venue didn't allow for a planner) but that didn't stop them from helping anywhere they could! I didn't think planning a destination wedding in 6 months would be possible. We were having our wedding in LV since my PIL lives out there so it would be easiest for them. A few weeks later they had a sample viewing of our centerpieces put together for us. It was so much more than what I could have asked for. It was perfect! People here were not helpful at all. There was very little communication and no suggestions. They did not want us to come to their place of business so we could see their arrangements and discuss ideas. This all happened before COVID. I decided to use another florist for everything else except the centerpieces as they were part of the package from the venue for a wedding. Once they found out we were only using them for only what was included in the package, they were really no help. Where do I even start. We just got married at the end of last month. Carlos and Nayra did both the florals and the coordinating for our wedding. They did such an AMAZING job with our flowers, we had so many compliments from so many of our guests during and after our wedding. Many took centerpieces home and continued to get compliments about them. They completely surpassed our expectations. Not only that, they were amazing to work with, very responsive to e-mails, very accommodating, and what I loved MOST is that they didn't nickel and dime us at every turn like many other vendors we talked to during our shopping process. They were on time, organized, and really had artistic talent in arranging the aesthetics and placement of things. They also added candles, votives, and other small decor on their own accord, which they didn't tell us about and didn't charge us extra for. You can tell that they truly love their jobs and are passionate about just doing a great job and making things look beautiful. I think that's what separates the good from the best. As coordinators, I felt well taken care of and either Carlos or Nayra were always nearby to see if I needed water or my bouquet or shoes, etc etc etc. We had 172 guests and a wedding has many moving pieces and I'm sure they took care of many things behind the scenes that I wasn't even aware of, but they really took care of us. This review is long over due. Carlos and Nayra are truly amazing. What they brought to our wedding NO one else could have done. This was due to their wonderful personalities, artistic eye, on-point organization and Carlos & I both loving the original Jurassic Park. We found them on Yelp and Carlos mentioned they offer flower services with their day of coordinating. He was extremely flexible with the flower demo- even driving all the way to my mom's house and set up the entire demo on her dining room table. He was fast and calculated my mom was so impressed with how organized and beautiful the table layout turned out. He incorporated my love for dinosaurs in the center pieces by making his own gold-covered mini dinosaurs to put through out the gorgeous succulents. We hired them for the day of coordination, but they did so much more. When I needed help or advice on anything Carlos was always so kind and helpful. He also made me feel very welcomed with all my questions- I had a lot lol. I was not sure how to decide some things like balancing how much foliage vs. roses/flowers to be in the decorations but they made EVERYTHING look beautiful while keeping our budget in mind. They built our flower archway too, video is on their Instagram! We had an outdoor wedding at a regional park in August 2017 and they made it look so elegant and beautiful. There were a few other details we were not sure of like where the wedding poster should stand but I knew I could trust Carlos and Nayra to take care of it. They even had the idea of putting up little fabric barriers to make our outdoor event more private- it turned out great they even put one between the restrooms so we could not see them during the reception. The day of the wedding was PERFECT. They had contacted all of our merchants for us ahead of time and assured everyone was on time- and Carlos even took care of a couple merchants we were having issues with. They really ensured no one would mess up our special day! Oh and did I mention they only had 2 hours to set everything up from chairs/tables/ building flower arch/everything? The park had strict guidelines and It was incredible they set the whole wedding up that fast while coordinating everything. Family and friends still tell us how nice/elegant our wedding was and they have never been to a wedding like that! I can't say enough about how fantastic my wedding turned out thanks to Carlos and Nyara of NPD Events! I planned my own wedding and had a very limited budget. I shopped around for day-of coordinators and found that most were very costly for the very limited services they provide. I had settled on a rental company (Persiano, also an excellent company), and met Carlos through them. I had a very unconventional vision and I found that Carlos understood me and what I wanted. The only regret I have is that I didn't meet him before I committed to a flower vendor because I know he is also an amazing floral designer! He and Nyara did wonders with the little I gave them to work with on my big day! They really spruced up the flowers and center pieces and turned my reception into exactly what I envisioned! I hired Carlos and Nayra for my flowers and the day-of coordination and I can't thank them enough for everything they did for me during this crazy year!
