I am totally blown away by Mina and her floral designs. Unfortunately a close friend lost her father and we wanted to send something special , she was referred by another local florist and did not disappoint . I called at 8am and received a call right back . I told Mina the situation and that these desperately needed delivered today . She said no problem and had them sent THE SAME MORNING . I gave parameters with price and said " please just make them bright and happy " she did so much more than that. You'd have to read my tip to know that this woman hates Groupon and shared it several times with us as well as how much being a florist is "not a fun business". I give two stars because I learned two small things and Mina, the owner and teacher, didn't think we would learn anything in the one hour class. (That was what she shared in the first minute of the class!) Have you seen Seinfeld's soup kitchen nazi? That's what the mom and teen girls who sat behind me likened the experience to. She asked if she could start the noon class late so she could wait for the 15 people who never showed. All FIVE of us agreed. Then when she was ready to start, she called my name and asked if we could please start. (I was chatting with the gals behind me while waiting.) When we were asked what kind of arrangement we wanted to learn, the choice made by the group to learn simple flower arranging so we can buy flowers at the store or cut our own was snickered at and we were told that that was "FTD or Conroy" stuff. Nothing special. She wanted us to do something like a bridal bouquet! (Like that was going to be really useful...) Due to language barriers everyone then thought they were expected to buy the plastic shears for $4. I told her I asked if I needed to bring anything, and wasn't told to. She asked who I spoke to, and I said, "I believe I spoke to you." (I was sure of it, since she had told me the same "I hate Groupon" story when I called) I was scolded for not bringing my own tools if I had them. (Nobody did.) Then she said she had one I could use for the class. the family behind me was surprised they'd have to buy three pairs, so I said, I would buy one and they could use the one she was going to lend me. That's when she barked she had shears for anyone who wanted to use hers. When she gave me three sets of clippers, the young girl said said she wanted the purple ones. I turned to give it to her and told her and her sister they could have whichever ones they wanted. Mina Called me by name AGAIN, and told me she could not have this going on, and "that's why I hate Groupon." Considered leaving at this point, but the mom behind me encouraged me to hang in there and make use of my lesson... We were given five roses, a few carnations, statice and a type of baby's breath that she told us nobody ever wants anymore because it's old school. Gee...thanks. She claims to teach at Golden West, and they offer classes there for $150 on the weekends. If you like verbal abuse, head on over. read more

I had a terrible experience! Please DO NOT BUY SOMETHING here if you are not sure! Their return policy is horrible (they actually don't have one, although I had the receipt). I bought a flower vase and asked them if it leaks. They said ¨no¨. I arrived home and I tried it and it was leaking! So, I went back to the store to return it and the owner was very rude. To be honest I am someone that judges a place by reviews and if I read some of them I may not have went to this flower shop. I initially was in the area going to a bakery and didn't realize most of the businesses were wholesale. I drove by Mina's and circled back around. The workers were all busy arranging flowers for different things and monitored me to the large walk in refrigerator to choose which ever flowers I wanted. There was such a huge assortment and the selections were perfect. I have since returned a few times and you cant beat the selections and prices. Ladies we live in a world of everyone having an opinion. Yes it's a wholesale business though since you have retail customers it may make a huge difference sales and feedback wise if everyone paused, was friendly and attentive. My husband brought me home orchids from Mina's store, and I absolutely love them! He got a mix of different kinds, so it's gonna be fun to see what they turn out to look like when the flowers bloom. I can't wait! Mina is very knowledgable about her orchids and they (the orchids) seem to be her forté at least in our experience thus far. HORRIBLE. DO NOT BUY HER CLASSES!!! I would give 0 stars if I could. I bought this class as a gift for my mom. My mom showed up for her class and then was told it had been rescheduled although we never received an email canceling it. So embarrassing!!! Mina promised us a free one-day class as an apology. My mom's class was then canceled 2 more times last minute. They have no respect for their client's time or money. My mom went to her first class and Mina had her do the arrangements with DEAD flowers. What am I paying $250 for? Mina then took back what she said about the free one-day class, even though I had an email proving that's what they had promised. Extremely unhappy with the quality of the flowers. Initially I thought it was another vendor I went with a few years ago for my nephews middle school graduation..but when I arrived not only was it not the spot I went to, but the double looked like a single...and the flowers started wilting so quickly that a lot of the string was starting to show. Really tacky and unhappy. They blamed it on the fact that the white orchids r smaller than the blue orchids (which I initially wanted but they couldn't get it). One of my collegues received flowers for her anniversary from her husband presently unemployed. The flowers were beautifully arranged and were in top notch condition. Five (5) minutes after receiving the arrangement, my collegue slightly tapped the large glass vase with her ring and it partially broke, causing over one (1) gallon of water to gush out the vase and cause a huge mess in her work area and damaging our carpet. My collegue's husband called Mina to discuss to no resolve, claiming that the arrangement was delivered with no problems. What Mina failed to understand, was that she used an inferior vase to house the flower arrangement. I called Mina to help my collegue, since it was Mina's water that damaged our carpet. Mina claimed that my collegue's husband received a great value and that she undercharged him for the arrangement. Mina still failed to see that the vase was still broken and stated that she would not provide a replacement vase. I receive flowers from this shop fairly often and I have been very pleased with them until last week. The roses I got were very pretty once delivered but at the end of the first day, I noticed a little drooping and not a single rose showed any signs of opening. Day 2, more drooping and more wilting. By Day 3, I sent my boyfriend a text telling him I would have to call to have my flowers replace. OWNER made no offer to do so but I was certain he had not explained that the roses did not open so I wrote her myself explaining very politely that the roses drooped and wilted and still not a single one had opened. I did change names to be polite but the remaining actual exchange is below: OWNER: Good morning; Thank you for your email, We are very happy and proud of our services, specially to you and your floral sender, and we are very loyal to our client and feel very close with obligation and satisfaction guaranteed, During holidays unfortunately we get very poor quality with highest price to; US AS A WHOLESALE, also we have 24 hours to report to the growers with product in our hand or at least picture of said product,, in your case it has been over ....even by the time (Paying Customer PC) called me. Now as a courtesy and as being so loyal to you, PC and (My company that orders weekly flowers) I can send you an orchid not to replace anything just to show my real loyalties and honesty. Thank you again for opportunity to let us explain our hardship of our business. ME: Good Afternoon OWNER, I think it's unfortunate that you pass on your very poor quality to your loyal customers. Possibly if you had mentioned these poor quality flowers to PC, he could have waited another week until your quality would be up to standard or decided to forgo purchasing flowers at all. An orchid does nothing to make up for what PC has already purchased which should have been a beautiful bouquet of roses. I have never heard of a 24 hour guarantee on roses. I have never had a florist tell me that they would not replace flowers that obviously were not fit for purchase. If the roses did not open 3 days after I received them, is it logical to assume that they opened and were perfect to sell but I somehow did something that caused them to close and therefore the roses were not faulty? Keep your orchid. I will let PC know that it is not necessary to purchase flowers for me from your shop in the future although it was an incredibly wonderful gesture on his part. It is messages like yours that make me realize that there is no such thing as customer service anymore. I was referred by a few co-workers that purchase flowers here regularly. I purchased flowers for my wife's first Mothers Day on Sat afternoon, and that night they already started to wilt, by morning they were completely dead. We had them in a nice cool, no direct hot light or sun, and made sure they had water. Not only were they completely dead, wilted, but also already losing most of the petals. Needless to say, my wife was very disappointed. When I brought the flowers back Mon to show her I was slightly taken aback that she as already making excuses of what I did to make the flowers die over night, with a comment from Mina that "oh mothers day is over now, so you come back" interesting. I had to show her not only the flowers but the date stamped photo from my phone before I received an apology and she did refund my money back. I can not thank Mina enough for helping me! My florist backed out on me 10 days before my wedding. Long story short she was not a good florist. I googled local florists and Mina popped up, I gave her a call and explained the situation. I went into her location teary eyed and looking for help. Not only did she walk me through everything come up with great ideas and solved my crisis but she stayed within my budget AND gave me more than the other florist. She was not sale-sy or pushy, extremely friendly and willing to work with my schedule. I had a week to work with before my wedding and she made sure I had everything I wanted fresh and ready. Came in for a 1 hour floral arrangement class we found on groupon. I was excited to learn the tips and tricks of floral arranging and hoped to leave the class with enough knowledge to make my own creations in the future. I was wrong. To start, the gropuon states it's an hour long class. 15 minutes into the class we were still getting trying to find enough seats for everyone (either they over booked the class or some people mysteriously showed up). Our class decided to do a Christmas centerpiece. We used an assortment of leaves / twigs/ berries, made our own bows,and added in a few roses. We had to wait a long time for scissors/wire cutters, because Mina only offered one pair for the whole class (16 people?)to share. If we didn't want to wait, we were told to buy scissors from her for $4. If we had known this, we would have brought our own scissors! The whole class itself was disorganized. If people asked for more leaves/ twigs, she would grunt about how we had improperly cut ours. If we started to chatter amongst ourselves, she would tell us to be quiet because she didn't want to waste energy explaining things again. When she was trying to redeem people's Groupons at the end, she angrily asked people why they didn't write their name on their Groupons, because as a result she was cluttered and confused. I understand that we weren't a perfect class, but we are the customers and the overall attitude in the class was just terrible. Overall, I don't feel as if I left the class with any new floral arranging skills.I learned how to stick flowers and twigs into foam. After this disappointing and frustrating experience, I definitely won't' be back. read more

Mina is one of the most messed people i have ever come across. A month ago i went in and put in an order of roses/centerpieces for my daughters baptism. She assured me she was going to get them for me at $14 for 2dozens. But today when i went in to pay the deposit she told me it was going to be more. When i told her i was willing to pay more she was impress i said yes. Afterwards,out of where she said she didn't have the product.
