I went in for an oil & filter change. I expected to pay around $50.00…read more The bill came to $230.90 including tax. They replaced the engine air filter for $72.30 (labor $34.50, filter $37.80). They replaced the cabin filter for $84.52 (labor $34.50, filter $50.02). I owned an auto repair business for 21 years and know when I'm being over charged. Their prices are way too high. They claim they have all certified mechanics. The one who did my oil and filter change was just a kid and I find it hard to believe he was certified in any auto service. If you don't mind paying twice what a service should cost, by all means go to them. I value my money too much. They won't see me again.

Wow this place is terrible!!! Me and my sister was out shopping when my SUV ran hot, so I pulled…read moreover an we could see where the antifreeze was pouring out of the heating hose an on the ground. So my sister called AAA to get a tow. While on the phone with them they recommended this shop so since they recommended it as one of their shops we got it towed there. Big Mistake!!! Well when we got there they was closing so the guy came out and ask what was wrong with it and we told him that the heating hose needed to be replaced remind you we open the hood and showed him and he could see the antifreeze was leaking out on the ground so he told us to fill out form telling what wrong with it and drop it in the night box so we did, he said they would call in the morning this was Thursday so Friday we waited an waited no call... so I called and he said he haven't got a chance to look at it and would call before the end of the day but he didn't. So I called an ask if they was open on Saturday and he said no...smh. So Monday he called and said it was going to be 583.00 and I said wow just to replace the hose and antifreeze really!!! I asked him to give me a breakdown on the cost and the man said first there is a $100 for a diagnostics test I said I did not ask nor did you tell me that you had to do one, I told you what I needed done so there no need for that test then went on to say both hoses need to be replaced and coolant fitting for both and antifreeze (x3.00) long story short two hoses and coolant fitting and dex-cool antifreeze (he called it )the parts was $267.00 that was for one the other hose was $177.61 I said wow say what? So I told him I was not able to get that done and I was going to call him back he said ok. I called back and told him I was going to get it towed home, and he informed me that I would have to pay for the diagnostics test and it would be $115 I said you said it was $100 yesterday and you didn't tell me that you was or had to do a test before you ran one and this man said that the $15 was for the supplies we used for the test...long story short I payed it to get my truck!!! This shop is robbing people! I feel they was so so wrong how they did me I will never ever go back there and I will tell everyone I know or run into how they will rob you. They suck!!! And yes I'm mad how they did me, but one day they probably going to rob the wrong person. I don't see how they sleep at night knowing how they do people!!!

It never feels good to complain about a small family business, especially one with nice people…read more Cahaba Tire checks those boxes of kindness and being a local business. While Cahaba tire may be a great spot for tires (cannot comment on that), it struggles for more complicated diagnostics. In this case, brought in the car with a set of lights blinking on the dashboard and reduced braking capacity. A simple google search or a question to AI would have immediately pinpointed even a novice to the fact that this was an issue with the brake booster, simply based on the codes. Yet, the crew here immediately jumped to diagnosis of a faulty battery with great confidence. After inquiring if it could be the brake booster (as I already searched the codes myself), they assured that it's not. Well, "mechanics know best", so I thought. Who am I to argue with them. Thus, paid for the battery, got it replaced and sure enough, all the lights came back on after half an hour of driving. Bringing the car back to them, they acknowledged the misdiagnosis, yet said they cannot fix the issue with the brake booster and it needs to be taken to a specialized shop. However, they did not offer to comp any part of the initial repair cost to replace a battery that wasn't the problem at hand, which would have been a reasonable thing to do from a customer service standpoint. In other words, owning up to their own mistakes and that they wasted a whole day for the customer. Sadly, that did not happen. While everyone was very kind and appeared genuine, the result as a customer is a wasted day without result at a mechanic shop due to overconfidence of the team here and a cost of a battery that potentially did not need to be incurred that day (which there is no way to know for certain now).

Being…read morethere already, I asked if they could replace the O2 sensor under the car that I had previously purchased. I was charged $145.00 to unscrew and replace a simple part. It is a basic task requiring no longer than five minutes. I paid the extreme amount anyway and left. A mile from the shop, the hubcap flew off and passed the car. After retrieving it from the ditch, it was plain to see that someone had busted it. Additionally, the rear hubcap is also broken. After being sufficiently fleeced by the labor cost, an additional cost of thirty-five dollars was necessary to replace the hubcaps they destroyed. I will never patronize them again, and I cannot recommend their services.

Came in for and oil change on 5/14/26 after the oil change was told by cashier my car multiple oil…read moreleaked. My car has NEVER had an oil leak oil service has always been kept (per paper trail at Walmarts) This Walmart just changed my oil 2 months prior. The cashier brushed it off as it may be on the ground where you park. She also stated the tech was unable to reset my oil light. I paid left with intention to return the next day after giving them the benefit of the doubt and going home and checking what I knew wasn't gone be there. Once inside my car I notice the tech put a sticker on my car that stated to return on 06/26/26 or 239,000 miles. Mind you my car had 241,625 thousand miles on it the day of this service. To be clear there are no lights on inside my car no issues the car has been well kept. I'm assuming he backed that sticker so at the next oil change it could look as though service was behind and that's why it has leaks. There is now two spots of oil drops in front of my car where it's parked. I returned on Friday morning at opening and met with a different tech and explained this issue. He pulled my car in the garage for five minutes, pulled it back out came and returned my keys. This tech told me he saw small amount of oil however it doesn't look as though they did anything and that the tech that serviced my car the day before was new. I told him he had no business working alone if he was new. I told him I would call corporate. Upon getting inside my car and starting it up o realized the informant was notifying. I looked at it and it said the hood wasn't closed. So this guy pulled my car out of the garage, parked it in a parking space all while the car is yelling and showing a picture of the hood open and still didn't close it simply brought me my keys. I called corporate Monday morning 06/17/26. Told them everything above they took the complaint and said someone would call me in 2-5 business days. Again I purchased this car brand new and Walmart has always changed this oil just never this particular Walmart due to relocating. Today 06/20/26 a guy name George calls me stating he is the automotive Manager and heard I called with a complaint. I explained everything above to him. He made sure to say the tech on Thursday was new. I mean! The proceeded to tell me how due to pressure when changing the oil sometime it causes the seal the damage etc and that they are seeing a lot of that especially in older cars etc etc. Well I would have expected to hear that Thursday IF that was so. Then when I told him it was supposedly inspected Friday he says yeah the tech told me it looks like it may be the oil pan. I stated that's not what he told me. I hung up after telling him I will again call corporate with his lie and non resolution. I will say I have have had no complaints with Walmarts service from the city I moved from whether it was an oil change, new tires, headlamp cleaning etc. However the service at this Walmart is horrible and lacks integrity. I will update the results from calling corporate again.
