I love this NTB. They always get you in and out quickly when you have an appointment. They don't ever try to upsell you or offer things you do not need. I even mentioned that I needed new brake pads and they said I don't. Went in for one tire, left with one tire. It was fast, easy, and as inexpensive as tires can be. Definitely recommend. read more

The check engine light on my vehicle illuminated while driving. I stopped into the NTB to ask if they would simply check the code. They said that I could wait while they sequenced me in and that it would be a $149 charge just to plug in the code reader and tell me the code reading issue. I left and went to the Auto Zone a few blocks down where they promptly, in under two minutes, read the code and provided me a print out with issue descriptions, parts list, and cost at NO CHARGE. read more

On 1/20, I had a damaged tire that could not be repaired and I purchased a new tire. On 1/21 morning, the new tire air was I used Fix a Flat to seal the tire, aired the tire and remounted it. That afternoon, the tire air was low again. I aired the tire and took the vehicle back to the dealership and explained to the manager that the tire was not installed correctly, the counter weight fell off and it sounded like the a leak around the stem. I received a call from Lisa telling me that the tire was leaking from the middle and I would have to purchase another new tire. I explained to her that I had spoken with Jesse yesterday and that the first new tire that I purchased had problems staying inflated. Lisa said she would call me back after she spoke with Jesse. The next day, 1/22, I picked up the vehicle with the same tire I purchased on 1/21 that Lisa said could not be repaired. Drove the vehicle 10 minutes and the tire went flat. read more

Had a bad feeling about this place from the jump. My boyfriend needed rear brakes and was quoted $300 when he got his tires replaced. We drop is car off at 8am-the time of the appointment. At 9:42 they called him, and I could tell by his face something was wrong. I asked him to put it on speaker because sniffing out BS is my super power. The mechanic (Jesse Murphy) was fumbling words and just generally seemed "off". He begins explaining that he now needs almost a grand in work done. My boyfriend asked how it jumped up in price so quickly. $625 is a big jump. The mechanic then explained all of this stuff that was "needed". Mind you his car was JUST there to get tires in the last month, and his brakes were discussed then, but NOTHING else was needed at that time. I told him ABSOLUTELY not and to tell Jesse no. My boyfriend then tells the guy he was quoted $300. Jesse the Mechanic seems taken aback by this and foolishly made up TWO DIFFERENT things that "needed to be done". At that point we just had them take the car down and went to get it. My boyfriend was smart enough to make me wait outside. I was NOT happy! This is an adult MALE you tried to pull this on. GOD ONLY KNOWS what you guys do to women that simply don't know better. When we went to get it my boyfriend said that Jesse was no where to be found. Of course, as we leaving, he shows up. Very unprofessional NTB, when we told Jesse we were just going to take it to the dealership he in a VERY snipping and condescending tone says "It's gonna cost MORE..." Jesse, we will HAPPILY pay more elsewhere. What you did was WRONG. I see why this place has one and half stars. Hopefully this review takes it down to just one, and they wouldn't even deserve that! I shopped around online searching for auto tires. My favorite place NTB had a buy 3 get one free deal. Due to social distancing, I made an appointment for Saturday May 16 on Thursday evening. I called to verify appointment since I didn't receive a email verification. They had my 2 PM appointment. I arrived at 2 and checked in. It was two cars ahead of me. 10 minutes later they finish car #1, 15 minutes car #2 was completed. At 3:45 PM, my car was still on the rack with the hood up (?) I went to inquire why my car was not being worked on. I bitched for at least 10 minutes as they kept trying to convince me everything was on schedule. 2 hrs to get 4 tires installed? Never again. When I lived in the city, I Always received great customer service, timely manner at NTB on So. Kingshighway. I would have to be hard pressed to deal with the Bridgeton location. They actually had the nerve to inform me that since I was in such a rush () to leave, they didn't do a wheel balance, I can get it done when I have more time for like $99 read more

Dont buy tires here if your hoping to get a rebate. I purchased tires 11-12-2021 turned in the rebate stuff on 11-13-2021. Today is 3-18-2022 and I still dont have my rebate. I keep calling and emailing the company and they keep saying it is approved just waiting for processing. I almost have the tires paid off and still do not have the 75.00 rebate. I am not getting any help from ANYONE. I have called corporate and the BBB. This is the second set of tires and we will NEVER purchase tires here again due to the crappy service from the rebate folks. We purchase the tires at the south county location in st louis. read more

I put a set of winter tires on my car and drove it around to get the TPMS working. They all synced up and showed my left rear was low on air. I pulled over, put some air in it. I used my iced tea on it and found it was leaking from the collar on the valve itself. The TPMS has two parts, the transmitter in the tire and the threaded collar on the outside. There are one or two rubber seals that seal it. When you install it you use a torque tench to prevent over tightening. I was too far from home but near this NTB store, so I went there to get it fixed. They said they could get to it. I suggested a rebuild kit that contains the seals and costs about 6 bucks. I was waiting and had to go to the car to a book when I noticed the bag hanging on the mirror with a TPMS in it. It was labeled for Audi, BMW and Mercedes. I assumed it was just a rebuild kit and thought nothing of it, they do this for a living, right? About an hour later they said it was done, right at closing time. I went to pay and it was 77 bucks. They put a new TPMS in it! This was a brand spanking new set of wheels, tires and factory TPMS from Tire Rack. This NTB is actually a recommended installer. It was getting late, I paid and went home. The new TPMS would not sync. American cars use a different frequency TPMS than European cars. They not only replaced a perfectly good TPMS that simply needed tightening or a rubber seal with a new one that was not even the right one! I took it back later in the week and had that fixed. The guy at the counter magnanimously said he would charge for it. Tire rack would have paid to fix the thing if it were a seal but I could not expect them to cover the cost of this shops incompetence. I'll eat the 77 dollar cost, mistakes happen, but complAints to this store and the corporate HQ have yielded nothing. I'm out money and TWO trips out of my way. I would not go there and will ask Tire Rack to consider removing them from the preferred installer. I know a bit about cars and even I can get taken. read more

I've gone in this shop multiple times after I've scheduled appointments and had to wait to get service. Today I made an appointment for 8:30 AM. I got there around 8:20 and was informed it would be HOURS until they could get to my car. What's the point of making an appointment if they aren't going to honor those times? I left and went to another shop. I started going to NTB because of their reputation. Now I will start going somewhere else that will actually value their customers. read more

I went to this location two of the store folks told me the coupon sent to me they could not honor because it is required I get oil change with synthetic oil as opposed to conventional. the dealer does conventional and the owners manual stated SAE 10W-30 and say you MAY use synthetic but using oil with additives is not recommended. bottom line the offer coupon and force an upsell claiming they can not do what the coupon offers SHAMEFUL. read more

We are from out of town and got a flat tire at the airport. We were trying to meet our son before he went off to boot camp. We put on the donut and drove to this NTB right away and were in and out quickly. Bill went above and beyond to accommodate us and we will forever be grateful. Normally I get my Altima serviced at Napleton Nissan, but NTB had a great deal on tires last month and so I replaced my two rear tires there, instead. After paying for the tires, the attendant gave me a list of other suggested maintenance. Most importantly, these suggestions included a brake job, which was an estimated $300-400 (more on that later). This past weekend, I wanted to get my rear brakes repaired (by now, the pads were pretty well worn out and beginning to grind). Unfortunately, Napleton didn't have any appointments available on Saturday and would be closed until Tuesday, as this was Labor Day weekend. Rather than wait until Tuesday, I took my car back to NTB for the job and was assisted by the store manager, Jesse Murphy. About an hour or so later, Jesse calls me and says the pads, rotors, and calipers all need replacing (worn out calipers on a 2015 model, really? ), and the job would cost $972. I stopped him right there, knowing that's far too expensive for the job. He then said he could get it down to $725 if I declined the calipers. It was here that I informed him that 1- I know damn well that one set of brakes doesn't cost that much (I'm 37 years old.. did he think this was my first car, or had never seen a repair bill before?) and 2- I was just in his establishment three weeks ago for tires, and that his employee quoted me far cheaper than that, so I asked what the discrepancy was. Jesse fumbled around for an explanation, as my girlfriend and I both tried stifling our laughter while we listened to him on speaker. I then told him that I would decline service altogether, and take my car to the dealership, as usual. "Well I'd still be cheaper than any dealer", he said. I told him again, "I don't think so, and no thanks. Take my car out of the bay and I'll be back within 20 minutes to get it back." Fast forward to this week. I made an appointment online with Napleton Nissan, left my Altima with them first thing Tuesday morning, and picked it up first thing today, Wednesday morning (the job was complete by noon on Tuesday, but the service department closes at 6pm and I was working late). I am happily driving my baby again and braking is as smooth as butter, thanks to the HONEST and TRUSTWORTHY service crew at Napleton, who did the repairs - rotors and pads - for just over $400. So no, Jesse Murphy, you are clearly not cheaper than the dealership and you certainly aren't to be trusted. Get some scruples. You did give us some laughs this morning, when I told the service people at Napleton about this situation, and they laughed even harder at "calipers", so there's that goin for ya! Needless to say, I will never spend another dime at NTB. I would discourage anyone from doing business with this company but if you must get service with an NTB, try at least to avoid this location at 11951 Paul Mayer, near the Bridgeton Walmart. Jesse Murphy is the store manager at that one, and the guy's a shyster. You'll get better service elsewhere. read more

Terrible shop. Went in for a wheel alignment. Took 20 mins just to get my info in the computer with no one in front of me, said 90 mins, 2.5 hours later, said that they would need $500 for a $70-90 alignment. Granted I installed my own struts the day before but it should never cost this much in labor and the parts (already paid for and installed) even to just adjust them. No thanks, won't be going back to NTB. read more

Made appointment to get a tire that I bought at ntb 7 months ago. They had all my info on the tire when I called. They knew at the time there was no warranty but didn't tell me until I was there. They said that they see knots in the side of tires all the time but can't do anything for me. They wanted to sell me the same crap tire again. No thanks. The tires I bought seem alright. But watch out for the safety inspection afterwards. They came out to tell me my brake rotors were bad but that the pads were fine. I had just replaced the pads and rotors last year. Definitely get another opinion before committing to a costly repair. read more

Very poor experience from the time I walked in. Need a nail removed from my tire and patched and bulb replaced for my turn signal. Walked and no one was at the front desk. I waited a couple of minutes and an employee came in from outside and said 'anybody help you yet?' My response was no and he sat down and began working on the computer. Is he helping me or working on the computer I'm standing there wondering. He eventually looks up and says 'What do you need?' It was at that point that I should have walked out but I did not. I explained what I needed and he quoted me a price, took my keys and I proceeded to the waiting room. After about 5 minutes I see my car pulled in. Over the next hour I see my car lifted and lowered on the lift. As I'm sitting in the waiting room with my daughter several employees are sitting on their phones and socializing loudly with occasional curse words throughout their conversations. I'm thinking is there no break room for them to hang out in that be more appropriate. An employee comes to inform me that NTB does not carry the light needed for my car. I had to question why I was told they could complete the service since all my cars information was entered when I arrived. Shouldn't the computer tell you what type of bulb is needed.? 2 hours later I'm still sitting in the waiting room. I finally approach the desk asking why has it taken two hours. The employee says, let me check. 10 minutes later my car is complete. This will be my last trip to NTB and I will not recommend them to anyone I know. read more

After a terrible experience at a different NTB location (where we were overcharged and services were preformed without our consent), we were refunded and issued oil change coupons by corporate and decided to give NTB one more chance. We made an appointment thinking that would expedite the process, yet we waited over two hours for our oil change to be completed. This would have been somewhat understandable had the shop been busy, but they were not. So, what were the mechanics doing all that time? They were busy taking pictures and snapchat videos sitting in, and revving the engines of, nice cars that had been dropped off by customers. I would do yourself a favor and look for another place to take your car, even for something as basic as an oil change. read more

We bought tires for my wife's car a year ago because the manager went out of his way to source the tires I wanted. We chatted a while and he earned my trust back to NTB after a bad history. I don't think he works there any more. I called to see if the same tires could be sourced for my (same) car. I was told no and was offered some 'in-house' brand. So I went to Sam's Club, got my tires mounted and went back to NTB for an alignment. I waited a reasonable time and I'm told an alignment can't be done because my driver's side inner and outer tie rod were bad. Having had those inspected 3 months ago this seemed strange, but things happen. The quote was $150 for parts and two hours labor, total $400. Having just spent money on tires, this was more than i was willing to pay for an old car, so I passed. I sourced the new [Moog] parts at advance auto for $60, borrowed a tool and had it replaced in 30 minutes. The outer had a torn boot but no play. The inner was loose, but no play. I understand that when doing warranted work you try to anticipate failures and repair them, so I accepted these as reasonable repairs. I took it in for an alignment the next day. After 3 hours I get a call that the alignment couldn't be done because the parts were installed wrong and they [NTB] would fix it for $125. "What was wrong?" I asked. "You'll have to talk to the mechanic when you get here." So i show up and the mechanic tells me the person who installed it did it wrong. "What was wrong?" "I went to make the adjustment and the rubber boot turned, she said, I was afraid the inner was coming out." "I torqued it, used locktite, greased the outer" I said. At that point I asked for my key back and canceled my wife's alignment as well. This was some BS. I went back to Advance Auto and borrowed the inner TR wrench, It all specked out! I went to turn the rod to make an adjustment and because the Moog part had more girth, the boot DID turn. I took a bit of grease from the outer nipple and spread it on the shaft. Guess what, it worked. The $125 fix was to lube the rubber a bit. 2 days wasted.... P!ssed! My wife's 3 year alignment will be serviced at another NTB. My car will go elsewhere. read more

I bought 4 new tires and after they gave the car back to me, I could barely drive the car to work since the tires were so out of balance. I took it back and they told me 'they'd take care of me'. Well, I picked up the car, started to drive to work and the car was not safe to drive (due to the tires being so out of balance). I took it to a different shop and they fixed the balance problem in an hour. read more

Really easy to work with, they were very knowledgeable and provided fast service. They showed me potential problems that needed my attention, but didn't try to insist that I take care of it right away. No pushy sales! My only reason for Good rating rather than Excellent is because my mechanic was obviously new (and doing a great job by the way) and the manager kept criticizing/correcting the mechanic while he was trying to talk to me at the end of my service. Word of advice, pull the employee to the side and do a one on one, don't do it in front of the customer. Its like the nurse arguing with the doctor after you just got out of surgery! read more

Today I had the worst experience ever at this shop. I had been their customer for more than a year but today they have made me feel horrible. I setup an appointment, came few minutes before the appointment and Gone through order process which was just an oil change and an alignment. I am sitting in the waiting room for an hour and they still did not pulled in my car. They accepted a walkin who came after me and a person whose appt was one hour after mine they started working on their car. After one and a half hour of no attention I requested them to give me my key back which they did shamelessly. I don't know if it was because of my color or what transpired them to throw me off. I am done with this shop and hope some day these racist losers sit at their homes jobless and then realize the importance of a customer. read more
