They claim it isn't their fault . They say they " just stuck a battery in and changed the ignition out and it ran great" . So they didn't do anything else . I've been in and out of Firestone in the last couple of months for help with my car. I was due for…read morean inspection but ended up needing it very quickly. I called A BUNCH of places and noone could get me in for weeks... until I called Firestone. They worked me in the next day no problem at all. I did drop my car off and leave it all day and that helped. During the inspection they identified that I had a large nail in one of my tires and it was not repairable... it needed replaced. I called where I got the tires from as I thought it had road hazard, but it was out. I still wanted to get a matching tire to what I had so tried the dealers that sell me... could barely get through anywhere and when I did noone really wanted to help me. So I called Firestone back and they were again able to get me in the next day! Now they sell house brand tires - still a good tire but not matching what I had. I decided that would work and they had reasonable prices as well. The only reason I took it down a star was there was a slight communication blip that happened on tire replacement day that could have been handled better, but I also believe the employee was truly trying their best. There was a lot of business going in and out of here and they were steady busy all day and a new employee. I appreciate the help they provided.

That previous shop I had went to for all my car repair needs but after a change of management, they started to try to sell me services I didn't need. So I went to Dave's after a friend recommended them to me. The first thing I told Dave was how I was sick and tired of mechanics trying to oversell me services. He assured me that he wasn't in business to try to swindle people. I appreciated his honesty from day one but honestly, time would tell if he was the real deal. And they all are. I would always approach the shop with honesty and that honesty was reciprocated. I had to turn to the shop for many issues and even when I went to purchase a used vehicle, I called them and asked if there were certain things to look for. Dave spoke to me and walked me through certain things to look for. I've never had a mechanic take time to do that. I was loyal from that moment. I even go here to get my oil changes done when I am unable to do them myself. A few things they offer outside of car services: Restrooms, waiting room with tv and doll house and all toys for kids to play with, a few chairs to sit on, candy vending machines and free WiFi. There is also a small convenience store across the street if need be. They are located on Lackland iPad so the bus runs down in front of their shop too.

He told me I "needed to learn how to listen" and insisted I pay an additional $300 just for another diagnosis, even though the original repair had not fixed the problem. I also discovered that the fuse box cover had been left off my vehicle after they worked on it. The situation escalated when I returned to discuss these concerns. I was told to "get out." Dave came outside, aggressively swung my car door open, popped my hood, and began cursing at me. His wife also came outside, cursed at me, and threatened to call the police simply because I disagreed with what they were saying. I was even told I couldn't call anyone to tell them what was happening or they would call the police. I left feeling disrespected, intimidated, and with a car that still wasn't repaired despite spending my money. Customer service, professionalism, and accountability were completely lacking. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this business and would encourage others to think twice before trusting them with their vehicle.

To make matters worse it was raining and I had to be at work in a few hours. I just pulled into their lot without making an appointment and told them my problem. I was figuring that it would take a day or to just to look at my car. But they took a look at my vehicle right away. After about ten minutes the employee told me they could have it ready in an hour and a half. I was expecting to pay a lot for the speedy service but they only charge me for the labor. Because of the great employees and their understanding of me needing my car that day. I was able to get to work dry and on time.
