My 1st experience there was a good 1. Lately though they have changed management and the service is not as good. My husband went there for an oil change and a tire rotation about the 1st of May and all his lights came on in his Nissan saying that the oil change needs to be done and that he needed windshield washer fluid. Well, they're supposed to turn those notifications off and they're supposed to top off your fluids which they did not. I went the following week and I also had an issue with my fluids not being topped off because my Antifreeze was empty. They need to go back to running a tight ship in Independence. read more

Super friendly staff, very helpful and quick. Had to bring my wife's car up here to fix an AC problem. They had it done in a few hours. The only reason for the 3 stars is price point. I'm on the fence with giving it 4 because the convenience of the hours and friendly staff were key but the price is a bit high compared to other chains. If you need your car and the local shops are booked come here for sure. The quality work is great and the store hours even better justknow you are paying for that. Update: I thought this place was great but dropped a star after they refused to honor their warranty on the work they did less than a year ago. read more

Been here frequently because it was close to work. I had a major job completed (2-3K) with some internal gears, it took multiple appointments and vague explanations came with each one. This included a rattling interior panel that was left unattended to, and required "the best man" to come in and fix it after the fact. Recently, I had been told by another NTB out of state that this store had put in the wrong/more expensive synthetic oil meant for Audi's/BMWs, and not the recommended synthetic mix for my Jeep. This was determined after pulling up my invoice history and going over my lengthy repair list. Very glad I am no longer taking my car here. read more

I would not recommend this store to anyone. I placed an appointment on a Wednesday for the following Monday for 4 tires. When i called i couldnt get an accurate estimate but instead got a ballpark estimate. Against my own better judgment i went ahead and placed to appointment. I was told that they had to order the tires but they would be there when i arrived for my 10am appointment. When i arrived at the store i waited around for 10 minutes before someone took care of me. I was then told that the tires i wanted werent there. I scheduled my appointment knowing i had other things to do in the afternoon so that was why i scheduled for 10am. I was told they were at another store and i could sit around and wait for them to be delivered or i could drive to the other store. I didnt have the time to do either, but it is an unacceptable business practice to say that. The manager came out and kept interrupting me. He kept saying that i wasnt told how long it would take. I told him i was expecting the tires to be there and about an hour or 2 at the most. Needless to say i lost my patience and said a few things i probably shouldnt have said and then was told to leave. I walked out... i wont go back and i will tell everyone i know to not shop there. read more

I try not to let the negativity of the universe penetrate Yelp through my writings. However, my heart is so filled with disgust, this business leaves me no choice. My Toyota has a difficult to reach headlight, so I take it in when it dies. Unfortunately I work in Independence and try to get maintenance done while at lunch or work. NTB undoubtedly loves servicing the rich folk that work in the area. I took my car in at lunch and went for a nice walk on a warm March day. They called an hour and a half later and said it is $60 for parts and labor. I damn near fell out of my chair. You lost a customer. I guess it pays to have your car serviced in more low income areas so that is what I will keep doing. The pricing is adjusted to clientele. NTB reminds me of the Mobb Deep song Extortion. read more

Careful with the bait and switch tactics at this location. I called on Tuesday and spoke with K___. He was very courteous and found 4 tires for me and quoted an out the door price that I found acceptable. I scheduled an appointment for Thursday - 2 business days later. Upon arrival, I was informed that the tires I was told about didn't. They could; however, get me out the door for a mere $260 more than what I was quoted in Tuesday. When I asked about the promotion they were running on the radio, I was told it was only on certain tires but never told which ones or if they would be compatible with my needs. What is the point of scheduling an appointment if you cannot make it? I am glad they are busy but they clearly do not need my business. There is no rating for this place. They tell me where there going to put the tires that I'm buying on my car. I needed two tires for the front of my Toyota. They tell me that their going to have to put the new tires on the rear and move my rear tires to the front. REALLY!!! Can I hear that again...Oh yes it's company policy. I'm here looking to buy two tires for the front of my car. I have two decent tires on the rear. Front tires are worn. That's why I'm here, I need the tires for the front!!! I stopped in to get my car battery replaced and when they were done, my Jeep wouldn't start!! They said it was my starter, then quoted me 600 dollars to fix. I opted to have it towed and take care of it myself. The starter and core was 135, where they were charging me 200. I got the old starter out and got reimbursed 35 for the core. Here is the kicker, it was not the starter at all! So that being said had I let ntb take care of this, my bill would have been over 1,000 dollars. Needless to say I won't be going there for any services again. read more

Do not go to this store. I made a appointment on Saturday to have four tires put on my car on Monday. Was told there was two other appointments that morning. I dropped my car off at 8:30 for my 9:00 appointment. I called at 11:00 and was told they HAVE NOT EVEN looked at it and would get on the repair. I called again at 3:00 and was told they STILL have not looked at it I then told them I was coming to pick the car up. When I picked the car up I was told they only have two people working in the shop. So if you don't mind wanting ALL day stay away THIS PLACE IS A JOKE read more

Great work and outstanding customer service! Tire pressure monitor popped on last night, and I put some air in one tire that was a bit low. Monitor popped on again this morning. Dropped by NTB to see if they could check it out. I didn't have an appointment, so I wasn't sure if they could get me in. No trouble. Despite a long list of scheduled appointments that morning (according to the check-in board), Evan was able to get me in. I think he is the manager. He's great. Very personable and knowledgeable. NTB was able to fix the problem and got me back on the road in about an hour. Much faster than I expected. There were storms in the area over the last few days, and a lot of people were coming in that morning because of tire damage due to running over tree branches, etc. Evan and his crew were able to handle everyone and the regularly scheduled oil changes, etc. I know they were busy and probably feeling the pressure to take care of a high volume of customers on this busy morning, but you couldn't tell.
