I asked him for an estimate to to place 875 square feet of Vinyl in the property and to place 245 feet of base board around the house. I shopped around before calling Cal Flooring, and I received the most reasonable price that I could find. 1.75 dollars per square foot, and one (1) dollar per foot on the base board. The estimate was 2062.45 dollars to include carpet removal and base board removal. WHAT? I could not believe it. I gave the job to Cal Flooring. Cal Flooring is family oriented business, did excellent job, with good working ethics and very respectful people. I really was impressed with their professionalism, and their quality of work. I am recommending this company to anyone who seeks quality job at a reasonable price. George also told me before giving him the job that if I can find a cheaper price from a licensed company, he WILL match it. How can you go wrong with this company? We we're looking for someone to lay laminate flooring in two bedrooms and a family room/dining…read moreroom. I happened to see an ad on Craigslist for Cal Flooring. I messaged George and he responded quickly. In our previous house my husband had laid all of our laminate floors but with a knee injury he was not able to do it this time. I sent George pictures of the rooms that we needed done and explained that we would tear out the carpet and pad. We would also be doing the transition strips and not pulling the baseboard but we would install quarter round trim. We had purchased all materials. George's advertised price was $1.75/sq foot to lay the laminate. After sending pictures and messaging what we needed George sent us an official quote that was exactly $1.75 per square foot. George and two other guys showed up to cut and lay the laminate. It was estimated that it would be 1-3 days work. George and his two guys worked continuously from 9:00 am until 3:30 pm with one 10 minute break all day. They did a wonderful job! All of them were hard workers and knew exactly what they were doing. Very polite and efficient. We could not be happier with their work and would highly recommend them. We are in Manteca and they came from Madera so it was 1 hour and 45 minutes to get to us. Their ad says they cover the Central Valley and they do.

A little backstory, I had a bad leak in my shower pan, to the point I thought there may be serious damage so I involved my homeowners insurance company. They sent an inspector out who said there was cracked grout, but he felt there was probably an underlying cause that needed to be fixed.So I called 3 tile contractors. The first two just said it was only cracked grout, and they'd fix it by re-grouting. Efrem gave his opinion, and it was exactly what the inspector had said, he anticipated an underlying problem. He won my trust with that honesty. He also made a point of explaining it would be a bit of lengthy process, he'd have to make 4 trips to do it in phases, but ultimately, he assured me by doing it this way, it would be a permanent fix rather than a quick patch. Every day wheb he said he'd be at my house at a specific time, he was there. All totaled, he was there 4 days in a row, the demolition took about an hour, putting a liner in (there wasn't one in the original shower pan which contributed to the leaking) and sealing it took an hour, he then tested it overnight to ensure the leak was fixed (it was) and then he laid the mud down which took an hour. He came back 3rd time to put another seal on over the mud for good measure, and then the final part was the tile and grout which took an hour or so. Couldn't be more pleased with the work.

Efrem has no internet presence, he works by referral. When I bought my flooring at Robinson's Flooring, he was the installer. He gets all his work from people who use him because he's one of the best in Fresno. I can't keep him a secret, and it would be selfish to keep this jewel of a contractor under wraps - so I'm proud to the be one to put him on Yelp and sing his praises. Great work Efrem!

I purchased a beautiful older home which after receiving a recommendation from a trusted friend, and interviewing several other contractors, I hired California Shine Construction to completely remodel the kitchen and bathroom, paint the exterior and interior of the home, refinish existing and install new wood flooring, install recessed lighting, and replace the old wooden roof on the house and detached garage as well as install a flagstone patio. I have nothing but good things to say about the entire experience of working with California Shine. The price for the project was competitive ( I obtained two other estimates) and the craftsmanship and installation of granite countertops, kitchen cabinets, wooden trim, tile work, appliances and hardware was excellent. Luis Bravo kept me informed on the progress of the work and responded to me promptly when I reached out to him with questions. The job was completed on time, the site was kept clean and the work crew were friendly and seemed to enjoy working with their coworkers and as well as the work they were doing. He said that part of our money had been invested in "plans" that his drafter never authorized for us to use. We made four different appointments with Luis to meet us in our Clovis home to discuss this matter and to request a refund for a project that was NEVER BEGUN. Four times we left work early to meet with Luis and four times he simply did not show up. We left messages and texts but he never responded to any. He arrived on time and was very professional, even advising my wife not to enter the bathroom with our baby while he worked since the dust might affect her. He also closed the bathroom door after he completed the job to stop dust from spreading around our bedroom.
