This is a very long overdue review that comes with a great deal of appreciation for Nuba Acupuncture. I was feeling my age so I dived into some much needed self care. "Jenny" is the owner who has taken superb care of us. She is fabulous at acupuncture for my husband's knee. My busy husband goes every other week to Jenny and now Hanna. He values the service he receives despite the fact that he usually dismisses self-care. I use "Lee" mostly who has a more traditional form of acupuncture. I have gone almost every week for about a year. Between Lee and my unusual chiro, I have overcome a frozen shoulder, edema, energy and circulation issues, pain from arthritis, a painful knee/limping leg and more. She is able to see what issues lie in my body that only I and my doctor know. She deals with emotional disorders from stress and anxiety too. She is very thorough and calming. Hana is the admin now in Jenny's absence, and she cured my cryingly painful back in one visit so I know that she is amazingly skilled too. Shin is the male there who does a great job too. I highly recommend the fire cupping prio to acupuncture because it makes you so relaxed beforehand. It is worth every penny! My husband and I even fall asleep sometimes, but most importantly, it relaxes my body which has always been unusually tight. Good to have my health back. Thank you to all at Nuba. read more

I've been coming to Nuba Acupuncture seeing Dr. Kim for awhile now and it has been the greatest thing I've ever experienced. I've had shin splints for over 3 years now and haven't found relief with anything until I came here. She is very kind, knowledgeable, and precise, and found out my root problem was caused by other weak/tight areas in different parts of my legs, hips, and lower back which has been causing my shin pain. I would've never known or even thought of that had I not come here. Acupuncture is by far the only thing that has not only relieved my pain, but is consistently keeping it away. She's very passionate about what she does, takes great care of her patients, and the front office receptionists are lovely, warm, and welcoming. Hello, I have a chronic genetic disease. Some days my body does not want to move or even listen to my brain. I try not to use Western medicine. The only pain medicine that works for me are opioids and immune suppressants. Who wants to take that? I am unable to see a chiropractor or have massages because of my condition. My back and neck are the worse. Last week I went for my Accupuncture and HanNa surprised me with Radio frequency heat therapy. Omg this was amazing, it's used around the Titan muscles to bring more blood circulation and make the muscles softer . It is very relaxing. It feels like a hot rock Massage. My husband and I have been coming together for a year covered with a referral through our Kaiser Permanente insurance (they accept plenty of different insurance) and when you get to the second floor their door is open to the left and the staff are both attentive and very caring. Their kindness is the best thing to expect and be welcomed before a treatment. The gentle music with natural sounds including chirping birds helps me relax and enjoy my time of self care. There's another location in Garden Grove and either place you can expect quality customer service for acupuncture, cupping, and other therapies. Plenty of parking for the commercial building shared with a daycare next door. Although they offer free water bottles, we also like to visit Caffe In across the street afterwards. read more

I've always had clear skin throughout high school, but my skin problems only emerged recently this year. I tried all the different kinds of skincare products and nothing seemed to work. I have been going since January for tennis elbow and then slight meniscus tear. They are amazing. Take the swelling down quickly and then work on the issues. Then I kept going for maintenance. I was hopeless when I came to Nuba acupuncture in the beginning because my symptoms were getting worse even with many years of medication and physical therapy. The pain at the back of my neck radiating to both of my hands was getting worse. I've been taking Flexeril and Meloxicam from my Physical medicine doctor for 4 years. I went to Nuba Acupuncture after sustaining a bad lower back injury from lifting. It was so serve that I couldn't sit and stand up without immense pain. I was struggling with tiny bumps of acne and some pimples. I found this clinic through yelp a few month ago, and was happy with the fact that they accepted my Kaiser insurance. I came here for acupuncture to treat my lower back pain and sciatica issues. The shooting pain I had from sciatica was bad, and caused a lot of discomfort when I sit or stand for an extended time. I felt immediate relief after one session, but the pain returned in 2 days. I knew I can resolve my lower back issues if I continue with the treatments. I have gone every week for the last 2 months, and now I am PAIN FREE! I have started coming here for tight IT band and knee pain. I wanted to check if my insurance covers acupuncture and called them. They checked it for me right away, and they found out it would cover acupuncture.(I have Blue shield) I was able to see them in 30 minutes after the call. I was pretty skeptical about Acupuncture previously. However, I felt confident after Dr. Kim kindly explained how it works and she answered all my questions. In a private room, she told me to change into a gown and lay down. The bed was heated, felt so nice! She gently checked where my pain is located. The needles were not painful at all! After needling, I was laying on the fantastic bed and listening to very relaxing music for about 30 minutes. After acupuncture, she did Cupping on my thigh, and it felt so great!! I was so refreshed on my way out! And IT band felt so much softer. She suggested to come every week for upto 8 times, so I made appointment with her every week.
