The best and most lively hukkah place in and around Los Angeles. It stays open till 3 AM and gets even more vibrant by the hour. The ambience of this place made me feel like I was at a cafe in Dubai. Before I arrived, I wasn't sure what to expect or how much to expect. I was blown away before I left. The hookahs were great. If you want it strong can have it strong or lighter; however you prefer. Ordered hummus with chicken and chicken kabob plate. Food was good, but chicken wasn't something that amazing. That's why it's a 4 star instead of 5. Got the mint black tea and milk tea. We prefer strong milk tea which it wasn't, but it still tasted good. The ambience is very relaxed, and servers are always cleaning up quickly, and very attentive. Nubia has been my new favorite spot in Anaheim. It's been hard to find a hookah place that also serves good food, has good hookah and helpful staff, so safe to say my search is over. I absolutely love that they have an outside area that's spacious and open. I don't know about other hookah snobs out there, but I personally like to just say "fruity with mint" or "citrus with mint" and have their own flavors brought over. Needless to say the staff at Nubia does this for you. Before I rave too much about them, I have been there multiple times and they have been so busy where they ignored me for 20-25 minutes. So, on busy days prepare to wait. I normally stick to their hummus with cucumbers, creamy and savory with an authentic twist. Again on days that they aren't busy, your food and hookah come out within 5-10 minutes. It's so wonderful when you can finally find that type of service. Excited enough on their simple hummus we ordered a chicken kabob plate. This plate was so big! It was definitely shared between two. The basmati rice was PERFECT, the chicken was PERFECT, so I would recommend trying a kabob plate with a loved one, you won't be disappointed. The other day I came late and they had actually closed their kitchen but the manager was so kind, so nice, and he made for me an incredible and beautiful hummus plate that was so fresh! The lounge itself is spacious but cozy at the same time. Lots of comfortable chairs, a breezy airflow, and just an overall good energy. It is clear that other customers love this lounge. Nubia is a great place to come if you like to smoke Hookah. I don't smoke it myself but the smell is more tolerable to me than cigarette smoke. Nubia is a good example of what you would find in many countries in the Middle East. Its kind of like a social club that allows smoking and where people to hang out and play games. My friends like to play Estimation (a 4 player card game) here as well as Backgammon (another middle eastern staple). Besides, the clouds of billowing smoke emanating from people's mouths, they also have a tasty menu. I personally like the Beef Salad and usually I will get a Guava juice/smoothie to go with it. They also have the usual water, soda, coffee, tea, and other beverages. Parking can be a hassle at times but if you go around back, you can park in any of the surrounding parking lots since most businesses are closed at night. You should stay away from the spaces in front of the liquor store, though. That guy reserves 10 spots for himself and tows anyone who tries to park in them. Its honestly a shame because I don't think that many people could fit in his store but maybe he is optimistic. Once he closes around 11pm, he takes the signs down and you can park there. If you are a hookah smoker, the guys come around pretty frequently with fresh red coals to keep your tobacco hit going. If you are like me and just want to grab a bite to eat or drink, its sometimes easier to just flag someone down or head up to the counter to order something. The inside is actually quite big along with the patio in the back. It can probably hold a couple of hundred people. The restrooms are really tiny though. They got rid of the separators they used to have for the urinals and the toilet and converted the Men's restroom to only 1 person at a time. I am not sure why but I suspect it may have been an ADA issue. As for the TVs, they are usually tuned into Middle Eastern music videos along which with the music can be heard over the overhead speakers. Going on a weekend or holiday weekend will get you stuffed in a corner somewhere in the back under this giant tent thing they have created. But clearly they seem to be catering to the regular customers or probably someone who slipped them a 10spot. They do have two kinds of charcoal. The crap wood cheap style that is sold in huge bags at any costco buisness. These don't last very long and fill your head with ash instantly. The other is that coco cube. Which is ok but leaves an after taste and gave me a headache. But hey, that's just me. The boss man is seen walking around and greeting customers at tables. A large Egyptian man. Seems genuine in demeanour and kind. The inside is not much to look at. This isn't your hookah and relax with a view spot. I find this place to be similar to the hookah lounges in the city of middle East. Basically a dedicated hookah den that caters to the 95% men that want to play cards, backgammon and shoot the sh*t. So, pretty authentic in my opinion if your lookin for this type hookah lounge. So is it a FUN and outdoorsy hookah lounge with a open or garden view and such. This cafe didn't seem like much from the main street, but let me tell you, it was poppin'. It was also much more spacious than it initially seemed. There was plenty of seating for any group capacity. There were roomy sectional booths and four seater tables spread all throughout the patio. There were no outdoor heaters, but it was much warmer inside the closed off patio than the actual weather. Arabic music was played throughout the night. And I appreciate the late hours -- open till 3am! The older and younger generations sat on opposite sides of the patio, entirely separated. I absolutely loved the menu choices offered. It ranged from authentic and traditional middle eastern drinks and appetizers to entrees and desserts. They also offered several argeela flavors. I'm not one who typically smokes hookah, but the mint was fantastic. It was refreshing and incredibly smooth. It was a full house when my family and I came, but the service was attentive and prompt towards everyone. There's plenty of comfortable seating and a large menu to choose from. We ordered 1 hookah to share (~$24). It was Blue Mist Paan with Mint. I also ordered a Chai ($4). The hookah was brought out pretty quickly. This was a new flavor for me, but I actually enjoyed it a lot! They also replaced the coals pretty frequently, which kept the hookah tasting good. The Chai was absolutely delicious! It was warm, silky, and not too sweet. It paired very well with the hookah. Overall, it was a great experience!
