Great food. Great Customer Service. Clean Restaurant. You should try it and I'm sure you would love it.

Grape Molasses with Tahini and Nuts - with Simit

If you're not licking your fingers by the end, you did it wrong. Came back here after a few years away, and wow--somehow it's even better than I remembered. This place has leveled up. Middle Eastern breakfast dreams are made right here in Anaheim. We devoured the foul (aka the best fava bean dish in SoCal), and the manakeesh? Let's just say I had to talk myself out of ordering three more. Everything was so good, I didn't even think to snap a photo until the plates were basically evidence of a crime scene. (Exhibit A: see photo.) Just when we thought we were too full to move, we spotted another table get the grape molasses with walnuts and simit--and well, we caved. No regrets. The perfect sweet, nutty, sticky ending to a flawless meal. (Yes, we did take a photo of that one.) The tea was fresh and minty, the pickles hit just right, and the warm, fluffy bread is the kind you want to wrap your whole life in. Friendly vibes, cozy setup, and a kitchen that knows exactly what it's doing. Al Sanabel isn't just a bakery--it's a ritual. Already plotting my next return.

You can never go wrong here. I took a photo after we already started to eat them but at least you can see a quick image. The flavors/taste is amazing. Very friendly the minute you walk in and per usual quick service

I was there during the grand opening of the original Al Sanabel in the 1990s. I am good friends with the original owner, Nadeem, and my father also worked for Al Sanabel Restaurant for many years. It was always a great place to eat, and a great hang out for locals. Today, I took my family to eat dinner at Al Sanabel for the first time in many years since change of ownership. The new owners are a Syrian family with high standards. One thing I immediately noticed is that the food is rich and as good if not better than anything I've eaten here throughout the past 25 years. This tells me they are making an investment in their future. I will be coming back. They know how to prepare a good Mediterranean dish whether it's Lebanese, Turkish, or Syrian!

    Breakfast is amazing!!!

This restaurant is family owned and operated. The establishment is super clean, the food is so fresh and so delicious! The brothers really go above and beyond. I highly recommend the Adana Kabab, Sarma Beyti, The Cheese and Sojouk Boat, breakfast spread, and all the way down to their tea. It never disappoints!

Very delicious although the serving was for two people, we even took home leftovers. Then the owner surprised us with baklava, thank you.

Food good service shootout bad and slow, if they say 20 mins that's mean 45 mins the staff try but the service is not there

It's only about 7 minutes from the parks, making it the perfect lunch or dinner spot if you're craving something flavorful that won't leave you feeling heavy. Everything we ordered was incredibly fresh and full of flavor. The spinach pastry was hands down my favorite, perfectly flaky with a delicious savory filling. The potato pastry was a close second and just as satisfying. If you visit, don't skip the pastries! We also tried the steak and chicken kebab combo plate, and both were cooked perfectly. The chicken was especially tender, juicy, and seasoned beautifully. You can actually watch the meat being cooked fresh in the back, which made the whole experience feel even more authentic. I ordered the veggie plate with falafel, baba ganoush, tabbouleh, hummus, and tahini sauce, and every single item was delicious. The falafel really stood out. It had a perfectly seasoned, crispy exterior with a soft, flavorful center. Dipping it into the baba ganoush, hummus, and tahini made every bite even better. One of my favorite things was that the meal was incredibly satisfying without feeling greasy or overly heavy. It was fresh, filling, and packed with flavor, but I still felt great afterward. The staff was warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly, and the service was impressively fast. They also have a great selection of Mediterranean spices if you want to bring some of those incredible flavors home. Huge compliments to the chef and the entire team. Between the fresh ingredients, authentic flavors, generous portions, and excellent service, Zait Zataar has definitely earned a spot on my list of favorite Mediterranean restaurants. I'll absolutely be coming back!

I placed an online order for the baked fish plate around 12:45 PM and expected a bit of a wait since it was fish. After waiting about 25 minutes, I called and was told it would be another 10-15 minutes. The restaurant was busy, so I understood. However, after waiting longer and checking inside twice, my order still wasn't ready and there seemed to be confusion about its status. In total, I waited close to an hour for an order that was placed online in advance. What bothered me most was seeing customers who ordered in person receive their food before me. It felt like my online order had been overlooked. If online ordering is offered, those orders should be monitored and fulfilled properly, especially during busy times. The food itself was good, but the plate could have been put together better. The fries were placed directly on top of the fish, which made them soggy and took away from the presentation. It would make much more sense to serve the fries on the side. Overall, the food is still good, but the long wait, confusion with the online order, and lack of attention to presentation make me hesitant to rely on the online ordering system again.

The young man who took his order was very polite and made great recommendations based on his favorite flavors. Everything was delicious: texture was amazing, VERY fragrant, and not too sweet. Although, It might've been too sweet if I didn't order the drink half sweet. I'm not sure how much everything cost because i didn't pay for it but i assume it's expensive as they use real, quality ingredients.
