I am very happy at the professionalism and just the whole way the doctor and her assistant approaches skin care. I recently had a face lift by a very good surgeon. But I needed fillers done afterwards since I am up in years. Usually the derma fillers are to complement the surgery since the surgery can only do so much. I used the suggested lady to do my dermatology fillers at a place suggested by the surgeon. The young lady at the first place left everything uneven and overfilled in some places and under filled in other places.,She filled one deep laugh line part way and left the other side of my face undone and hanging and made my face look awful. So I went to Nubo Medical Spa after a virtual consult. I was at the spa for two hours and got almost everything fixed and redone like it was suppose to be done. I have another treatment to do in a few weeks. I got very minor bruising . But I can tell it is looking beautiful. All those deep lines smooth and even. This is the place you want to go to get your dermal fillers or Botox or all kinds of skin care. These are people that really know what they are doing and they make you feel so comfortable and you walk out feeling like a million bucks. Nubo Spa exceeded my expectations. Jen, the co-founder was terrific. She supported me in choosing the best treatment for my face/skin concerns. I scheduled the Vivace microneedling with PRP. The experience was 5 star. Nurse Practioner Nicolette who did the majority of my treatment is a gem. She explained each step. Nubo also uses a great numbing cream so the process was pretty painless. Dr. Shay is warm, confident and exceptionally professional. She oversaw the PRP process. I notice the results of the Vivace microdeedling already. My skin is smoother and brighter. I had never had any work done on my face but wanted to try some fillers out so I came here and met with Dr. Shay. I was super nervous that 1. It would hurt terribly and 2. It would look really unnatural, but I definitely didn't have anything to worry about. Shay was very gentle and talked me through everything, and when she was done filling in my cheeks, lips, smile lines, chin, under eyes and lips, I still looked natural and like myself! It was so perfectly done that I looked much more symmetrical, which I've always had problems with due to slightly lopsided lips and a deep smile line on my right side. I automatically looked as though I had slept well the night before, which is a huge deal to me because I work nights and sleep very little (and only napped an hour after work before the appointment). The procedure was slightly uncomfortable but she went at a slow and steady pace and made it so that it barely hurt. She told me there would be swelling and bruising but I iced on the way home and was able to go to work that night 5 hours later with only the tiniest little bruise next to my lips. Someone even commented that I looked as though I had slept well that day...HAH!! NuboSpa is also gorgeous with blue lighting and beautiful metal work. I felt extremely relaxed just walking in. They also offer other cosmetic procedures at extremely fair prices and a line of really high quality skin care products. I'm 25 and will definitely be coming back!!! read more

I would not recommend this spa for the hydra facial though I cannot speak for the other services. It is incredibly expensive at $250, was not an enjoyable experience from a facial relaxation standpoint with incredibly painful extractions (and I've had extractions done many times before) without the results I would've expected to see from the cost and pain. The Facialist seemed affronted by my asking questions about what products she was using, what step she was on and what the goal of each step was supposed to be. My goal was for a skincare maintenance facial ahead of an upcoming wedding that left my pores cleaner to prevent future breakouts and overall smoother more glowing complexion. Yes, my overall face felt relatively smoother (though I've felt similarly smooth after an over the counter face mask) but the after facial glow was minimal and my clogged pores were barely cleared with white and black heads still present. This is not the experience I've seen with other facials and was also despite the pain of the extractions and the marketing of the hydra facial being specific to pore cleansing. It actually flared a couple of my clogged pores to acne. I've had many facials before with extractions and without and can say this was one of the most underwhelming and by far the most expensive. If you're interested in a hydra facial specifically I would say it is not worth the money and wish I'd known that ahead of time. read more

Shiva is the best injector period. She listens, communicates and brings trust to the process and is anything more important when you are having work done on your face?! She has perfect sense of balance and artistry. I have been getting Botox/Dysport done for awhile, loved the results but was afraid of having filler, but trust Shiva so much I decided to very tentatively try. I have a very asymmetrical face and without a ton of filler she was able to bring me to a more symmetrical shape than I've ever had. Came back ended up waiting another 30 minutes until the doctor came out and said that she can't see me because they had over booked the rooms. I emerged with significantly less radiant results compared to last time. She also wasn't knowledgeable about certain products. Also took much less time than the last person. I just had the worst experience at this spa. I went there for a facial, hoping to get relaxed and refreshed and I came out with tears! I originally booked a hydra facial, and then called to cancel because I have an event in two weeks and didn't want any irritation to happen to my skin. They told me I can get a much milder facial that includes very light products and a massage. So, I decided to do that. When I went in and talked to the aesthetician telling her about my skin sensitivities, she kept telling me that I have two options, I have to do hydra facial or regular facial which is the same thing. I got worried and tried to tell her that's not what I'm looking for, but she kept saying that and stressing me out by giving me attitude and even when I try to leave, she told me that I probably was under stress when I went in!!!!!!!! WTF!!! I'm not sure about these positive reviews that I saw, I've been to many med spas and I had never had such a bad experience!! read more

Loved this place! Beautiful high end spa with a very cool, relaxing and welcoming vibe. Dr Shay and Jen are very professional, warm and attentive. They make you feel like you've know them forever. I had my first Ultherapy treatment with Liz, RN. She was very professional and attentive, and continued to put me at ease. She kept checking in with me to make sure I was doing okay during the treatment. I had some discomfort but I found it manageable. Amazing improvement after 3 weeks! My skin tone and texture, and wrinkles are noticeably improved but in a subtle way. My husband can't believe it! I am looking forward to my second visit at Nubo Spa. This place really is as good as it gets! I was looking to throw a spa party and had trouble making it happen until i called Nubo Spa. I was trying to find a high end spa with great atmosphere to do facial and massage and man did they come through! One of the owners, Jen told me she could absolutely accomodate and personally made sure i got what i needed. When me and my ladies walked in we were greeted by the friendliest staff with mimosas and an assortment of fruits and chocolates. They shut down the whole facility for about 3 hours so we could all have a one hour long facials and one our long massages. These were literally the best i ever had thanks to Delvon and Emily. My entire party felt the same thanks to Cliona and Paola! What an amazing team of people. I also had the pleasure of meeting both owners, Jen and Shay and these women are amazing. What a cool neighborhood gem! A friend told me about Nubo because they offer massages (Cliona is excellent), so at first I thought this was mainly a "relax and get a massage" or facial kind of spa. Turns out they are so much more than that. The friendly staff and owners explained to me the wide range of services they offer and I was impressed. I was curious, but also have a deep-seated fear of needles, and didn't know much about how things like Botox work. But everyone I encountered there was friendly, patient, informative, clearly very experienced, caring, and thoughtful, and they've made every visit I've had there pleasant and even fun. And the results are transformative. Within days I had friends ask why I looked so radiant (was I working out, or madly in love?).
