Got a HydraFacial with Emjay today. She was so welcoming and easy to talk to. This was my first facial treatment ever and she was so informative on the purpose of every step and even gave me advice on how I can take better care of my skin after the treatment. The facilities were simple, clean, fun. It smells so good in here it's a super light waxy smell I don't think they use any room fragrances I think it's just a bouquet of scents from all their products and treatments because it's very fresh inside. The HydraFacial itself was incredibly relaxing. I felt pampered at every step and my skin is clean and glowing. I will definitely be back to try some of the other treatments. read more

I'm a 50+ female with very sensitive skin. EmJay was amazing, took great care of my congested skin. She walked me through the whole process. I felt taken care of and also had the deep clean that I craved. My face was much less pink than expected, just a mild flush and I have rosacea and get red very easily. By evening it was fine. We had a Spafinders gift card and decided to try Supple - my husband had a Swedish massage from Courtney and I had Bespoke facial from Isabelle. Highly recommend Supple! My husband said Courtney was able to get those "knots" in his neck and shoulders out and really helped loosened the areas. Isabelle listened to my skin concerns and targeted those areas with extra TLC!! You'll find the place exceptionally clean, smooth jazz background music was relaxing. The place is so clean and cute, everyone's super friendly. They have you fill out a sheet when you arrive regarding your skincare routine- felt pointless as it was never discussed nor did it affect my visit. I came for a facial that focuses on extractions and the older lady who did my facial only spent about 5 minutes (at most) on extractions. Though my face was softer afterwards, there was no difference regarding my blackheads. All in all, I wouldn't pay this much for another facial nor would I really recommend this place. read more

I had a very positive second facial at Supple yesterday after being invited back by the manager. This time, the facial (deep cleansing) really felt like a thorough treatment, which was due to their tailoring the facial to my needs based on the last less effective one. I was incredibly relaxed throughout, definitely fell asleep but didn't want to, yet it made the extractions (which were thorough) a breeze. The massage was great, and my face truly glowed at the end of the treatment. I would go back again and even considered getting my man a certificate for a facial here because there are times when he could use a wee bit of help with the blackheads (shhhh). I have been here for a couple of times for facial treatments and I book my appointments with Denitsa (amazing and knowledgable). She always makes sure that I am very relaxed throughout the whole appointment while suggesting the perfect facial treatment for my skin concerns. I personally have sensitive/acne-prone skin, which means that having regular extractions from facials are extremely important to me. Denitsa is great at extractions without making my skin becoming extremely red. Immediately after each of my facials, I always noticed the glow from within on my skin (TRULY AMAZING). I love that Supple Skincare uses natural products feeding the best things for my skin. I would definitely come back again when I am in town. The location of the place is great! This is for a facial I had at the beginning of this year. It's been awhile so I can't recall exactly when but before the passing of Kobe. I've always passed this place and couldn't help but notice the cute decor. I booked an appt. and left with pieces of face mask still on my skin. I didn't notice til I got home otherwise I would've let them know. A few expectations I had prior to the facial: -a brief inquiry about my skin type, my current skincare routine and goals -little announcements of what steps were being done during the facial, product function. E.g. "I'll be applying a mask to detox your pores followed by a hydrating moisturizer" -a few recommendations on how to better care for and improve my skin (I had to ask her after I paid for the service. I asked about product recommendations and what I can do to minimize pores and hydrate my skin. The lady basically responded that my skin was fine. If my skin really were fine then I would be able to tell myself. My skin is far from perfect and as with anything there is always room for improvement. My expectations are based on previous facial experiences. I understand not every place has the same procedures and provides the same experience but I didn't feel taken care of during my facial. I will say maybe the lady that gave me the facial that day was having an off day. I might give this place another shot in the future. read more

I've gotten a few facials (the Bespoke) from Denitsa and she is simply a gem. I have sensitive skin and she's extremely gentle and intuitive with the treatment. My skin always feels dewy and glowing afterward. Denitsa has a calming, grounding energy about her that makes the entire experience instant bliss. The treatment room is pink. The storefront is bright and light-filled and full of beautifully curated natural skincare products. Fiona, the store's co-owner is cheerful and sweet. To be honest I was a little disappointed by the services I received here after reading such glowing yelp reviews. I bought the deep-facial for $120 and it didn't seem worth the money. I was looking forward to getting my facialist's advice about my skin/ skin care regimen, but I think she was pretty lazy. She asked what I do, I told her I use a clarisonic brush and toner twice a day and she said that was perfect. I have FAR from perfect skin (breakouts, oiliness, etc) and she had no suggestions for any improvements. In fact, my facialist barely talked at all, which is nice when you're relaxing, but not when you're looking for ways to improve your skin. The appointment wasn't very thorough - the "extractions" were very brief and when I went home I found lots more she could have done. Perhaps my expectations are too high, but I feel like if I spend $120 I should at least notice some difference or learn something. Neither happened unfortunately. In the mean time however, the way in which Allison has responded to my comments has really shown how much she cares about the quality of her company. So, for now, I will bump up my rating. more to come... -- I have gotten three facials from Supple. My first two visits were great. The women who did my facials were great. The space, both the front and the treatment room, are immaculate, and Allison has done a great job putting together a really courteous staff and an awesome line of products. However, my last experience was extremely regrettable, and I will likely never go back again. After spending the first few weeks of summer traveling, my skin looked terrible. I was really excited to get a facial and committed to getting my skin back into shape no matter the cost. (Plus, who doesn't enjoy a little bit of pampering). I informed my esthetician that my skin was really sensitive, and that I had been using a sample kit from the arcona line given to me on my last visit. As a result, she recommended the Deep Cleanse treatment. My facial was abnormally painful. (Because she focused on extractions, my facial was abnormally painful, and I informed her so. She continually reassured me it was ok.) After my facial, my face was really red and puffy. It was honestly really disgusting looking. I was told the swelling and the redness would go down by the next day. Trusting my past experiences at Supple, the Yelp reviews and the recommendations of my facialist and Allison, I left with over $250 worth of products, totaling my total visit to $325+, something I had been hesitant to do on previous visits. The cost was not the problem however. (In fact, I was and still am willing to pay however much it takes to help my complexion.) My face stayed red and puffy for the next two and half weeks - not the best look when meeting your boyfriend's family for the first time. I used the products exactly as directed both by my facialist and the box. Yet my face continued to get worse. It was dry and flaky and really really gross. Meanwhile, I called Supple, to see if I was doing something wrong, or if there was some way we could fix my skin, and the basic sum of the response I got was - you signed a non-liability agreement. There isn't much we can do. You can come in for another treatment... Ironically, It wasn't until I reverted to a store bought ($7) that my skin reverted back to normal. read more

This place made me feel like a lady! After many painful, counterproductive facials in my hometown when I was a teenager, I renounced facials for a decade! But tuning into the world around me, I kept hearing about how "relaxing" and "soothing" and "heavenly" facials were. The whole world can't be on crack, can it? So I dug up some courage and found this place via Yelp! Oh my gosh. My. Gosh. This was an amazing experience. After filling out a short questionnaire about my skin and what I wanted out of my visit, I was quietly led to a warm, softly lit room, asked to get ready and tuck myself in. I did, and then received a gentle assessment of my skin, right before I was exposed to gentle steam and later scrubbed and rubbed with the most sumptuous-feeling and lovely-smelling scrubs and lotions. Even the extractions were gentle while getting the job done! While we waited for my peel to set in, Fiona (lovely lady, she was... very skilled and knowledgeable) rubbed my super-tense shoulders and neck, melting away months of stress and hard work. It was heavenly, indeed! Afterward, my skin looked incredibly calm and soft. Heck, it still feels soft! One last wonderful tidbit I must include is that they don't have a hard-sell approach here. Fiona recommended a couple of scrubs, but because it would be better for what I want for my skin, she recommended the more affordable one! They care about skin more than money! Even buying the (great!) products was a soothing experience. I was so happy I booked my next appointment straight away, facial-phobia cured. Seriously check them out! read more

I dislike catching pre-pitch flack from estheticians and make-up artists about the products I "currently use" on my skin. The reprimand is most annoying when served from behind a department store cosmetics counter and the target is the cosmetics counter situated directly across the aisle. "Oh I would never put THAT on my skin." "But your products and their products are owned by the same parent company, contain the same ingredients and are produced at the same factory. I think they only differ in packaging and price point." And as I'm saying this and watching her face I'm thinking, wow, this is when a charcoal eyeliner applied on the lower and upper lids can really work to accentuate that stunned deer in the headlights look. Anyhow, the Supple staff have never given me flack for my choice of skincare product -- not even for my exfoliant of choice which, generally, is either whole grain mustard or hummus mixed with shards of broken glass. And I really appreciate that. When I gushed about a couple Jurlique products (not a line that Supple carries) I was asked "What do you like about them?", but I felt they were gathering information to better assist me; not to offend. I first visited the store in February of 2005 after reading a Daily Candy article on Aloe -- a UK based line of really cool-looking (and wearing, I found out) silk loungewear. Supple was cited as the ONE local place to buy it. I visited the store soon after and found it a comfortable space, minimal in its design, pleasingly lit and stocked with a manageable number of carefully chosen product lines. They've introduced me to some great ones: In Fiore, Kimberly Sayer and, most recently, Ren. The ingredients in these lines DO vary and the staff knows them inside and out so ask away before purchasing. Two years after the first visit I booked my first facial here and loved it. Jeshka explained what she was doing throughout but otherwise didn't talk -- and advised me that she wouldn't beforehand. I liked that she gave me room and permission to relax. The treatment felt gentle but thorough. And the result on my sensitive skin? Well, I liked that when I walked across the street afterward, to pick up a slice of pizza, I wasn't asked, "What happened to your face?" There was a product pitch at the end. I was put off by the initial price tags and would prefer they ask the client's preferred spending range BEFORE they gather the products for show and tell. (Perhaps they can add this question to the questionaire the client completes prior to treatment.) But once I said I wouldn't spring for an $80. jar of face cream they did present me with an alternate recommendation better suited to my sensibilities, and pocketbook. read more

I received an excellent facial here and my skin probably looked better than it has in many years in the weeks following. So why only 4 stars? My initial impression of Supple was not entirely positive -- but I'm beginning to wonder if I did not perhaps have a strange experience there. As I've experienced Supple to date there are some incredible positives: 1. Great physical location and vibe 2. The owner seems to care about her business as one would a treasured and long-sought-after child 3. They sell great (if slightly expensive, depending on how far into skin care you've gotten) products -- Arcona, while a bit of a stretch for me, is absolutely the best stuff I've used on my skin so far . My advice to anyone is just beginning to budget for skin care, however, it to be very clear about the amount of money you are willing to spend. Be clear and honest with yourself about your budget and then have no fear in communicating this to your skin care specialists up front. If you receive convincing information that might motivate you to stretch your budget -- think about it and go back after you have made a decision! Otherwise, you might sacrifice a beautiful experience with beautiful results to a bit of buyer's remorse. read more

I came here after all the rave reviews and got a facial for my acne. I used to have clearer skin until graduation came around and I got too stressed out from it. The lady who did my facial was really sweet and told me what was going wrong with my skin. Once she was conducting the facial and extractions, I realized she wasn't extracting all my pimples, which sort of annoyed me. At the end of it all, she gave me a small trial bag of Arcona to test it out on my acne, but it sort of stung my skin so I stopped using it. I think if you like that nice fruity spa smell, you should come here for facials but not for acne. read more

I had my first appointment for a facial yesterday and let me tell you- it was excellent! I had the S.O.S facial which includes a peel and I had some extractions as well. I left with glowing skin and woke up this morning with a dewy, supple result. They carry skinceuticals products which I have been a fan of for forever so I knew their methods are legit. First time customer. Malite asked me where I heard of them (here), and I thought I'd throw in my two cents (here) while I'm procrastinating on cleaning a very dirrrrty room. So, Supple is a bit different then the last place I got a facial (a whole 6-7 years ago). That place was: BioKorium in Riverside (http://www.yelp.com/biz/biokorium-day-spa-and-salon-riverside). I consider BioKorium largely responsible for bringing my late-teenage acne horrifying experience to a healthy close. The face I showed Malite might've looked like it had not seen a pro in awhile....but trust me, that was nothing compared to what once was. Anyways, I have had problem skin for years. Combination oily/dry. I have an ease for tanning (despite my ginger roots) which doesn't bode well for freckles and lines (even though I'm rather young). I'm also an outdoorsy lady. I see sun and dirt....a lot. And usually after long/dirty/sweaty trips my skin has something to say. So, after doing 2-weeks of backpacking on a particularly ashy mountain, I decided it was time to save myself an obvious oncoming breakout and try Supple & facials again. I opted for the 80.00 deep cleanse, made an apt. (the same week I called in for one), and was good to go. Pro's: I'll agree that Malite was soothing and non-pushy about the whole thing. Kind-of enlightening actually, during the talks on why my skin was the little mess it was. She suggested some reasonable products (I left with one: Arcona Raspberry Acne Bar...which I very much like. Smells good...will probably last forever at the rate it's going). Con's: The massage thing kinda threw me off. I didn't see it coming...and well...I think my surprise was obvious. My hands did feel pretty good afterwards...but I feel like I didn't know what I was getting...wouldn't have minded being preemptively told. I don't feel like the "deep-cleanse" was that cleansing. My skin has still been bad since I saw Malite (as in, consistently...not worse then better, or better then worse). It is possible that it takes more of a "deep" cleanse then what I got. I also like glycolic...and none happened on this trip. I feel like the outcome would've been better if I had the stuff on my face longer. But I don't know how that's really possible to ask for (they only have one treatment room and if appointments are back to back...then what?) Overall: I'd try again...maybe investigate a different treatment option. read more

Supple facials are wonderful, and I have always loved the service and warmth of the staff. One warning, though, is that there are no returns at all with the products. I bought an expensive lotion that ended up being really tacky, and when I contacted Allison she explained that I should just use less and that they don't do any returns. Lame. UPDATE: So I've been in love with the products and services for about a year. After a facial, I can tell a difference in the tone and texture of my skin. But, I confess, I have not purchased the products used because for the most part, I am really in love with the line I already utilize. My skin is pretty good. NOW, however, I want to go back and buy everything!! Why? Because I think my skin would be more than "pretty good". I've reached this conclusion becajse I recently introduced a friend who ~ who is a doctor by the way ~ had really, really, really bad skin. Acne that was at the point of being painful...red and incredibly inflammed/irritated. I stress that she is a doctor because that sets the story. Fo years, she has consulted a number of her "doctor" friends and used a variety of productsn~ prescription and "natural". To no avail. ONE WEEK after having a facial at Supple and buying their products, her skin is almost completely cleared! Her skin is smooth and what was once a mass of acne is a beautiful, glowing and smooth face. It is incredible and if I had not seen the before, almost unbelievable! Soooooo, in my infinite wisdom...I figure if their products can do that all that...in a week no less, I want them!! read more

I selfishly don't want to review Supple because I want it all to myself! I just had a facial and the change in my skin is blatantly obvious. The products they use (Arcona in my case) are all natural, made of minerals and enzymes that are great for your skin. The esthetician asks if you would like to hear what she is doing or if you would like to relax in silence. I think that is great because sometimes I do like to hear which products she is using (for future purchases). At the end, she showed me what she recommended for me and explained why. I did NOT feel pressure to buy. I did feel like they (the esthetician and the owner Alison) got to know my skin through questions and touch and recommended products accordingly. I can't say enough great things about this place. The shop itself is very clean and organized. The products are not cheap, but they are not more expensive than any other skincare line you may find at the mall (they're just better). The facial was very fairly priced ($85) and was far better than other facials I have had that were pricier. read more

I LOVE facials at Supple!! I've been here about 4-5 times now and I'm not going anywhere else as long as they are in business. I'm always so sad when my 60 minutes is up, it's like 60 minutes of heaven! I find that my face glows and feels super hydrated and supple after my facials here. I've had Fiona twice now and I think she does a really great job with the extractions too. I've heard of people breaking out after facials, but I've never had that experience here. My skin doesn't even look irritated after the extractions. Just super clean, clear skin :) I find the estheticians very knowledgeable and appreciate that they show you one or two products they used and why, but don't push you to purchase. I've purchased Arcona Gentle Solution serum from them before, they carry and use a lot of REN products too. Parking is not difficult, I can usually find street parking within a block or two. 4.5 stars! This was the best facial I've ever had, and while I'm not a pro by any means i have had a few. I got a deep cleansing facial just under 2 weeks before my wedding to clear up my skin and extract the months of planning stress. I had the most extractions ever - she stopped and asked if we could extend the appointment so that she could finish. Extractions are always a little uncomfortable, but she was as gentle as could be and did a fantastic job. My skin has been very happy since then; 1.5 days of very slight redness where she did a lot of work, but soft smooth skin with small pores since then. I splurged and bought two products (toner and scrub by Astara) to maintain my skin until the wedding. Both have been great and worth the expensive but reasonable cost. The treatment room and service were both excellent and the whole experience was very positive and relaxing. My fiance looked in the mirror and now he wants to get an appointment before the wedding too! read more
