With the bans coming into place here on July 1st, we decided to "pull the trigger" and order the pistols online. We ordered the pistols on the same order and had them shipped to Big Boyz. After they arrived they gave me a call to come by and pick up the pistols. When my wife and I arrived they would not let my wife pick up her pistol because the shipping label arrived with my name on it. They said that I had paid for it and so it couldn't be transferred. They said, "it's the law" according to the ATF. I called the Virginia ATF field office and spoke with one of their firearms investigative field agents who stated that the law required the legal OWNER of the gun to be the one to fill out the paperwork and go through the process. This would be my wife. Dave, the owner of Big Boyz, refused to listen to the ATF agent, and told the ATF agent that the law did not say that. It's funny that when confronted with the truth of the law, you just disagree for the sake of being right, even when you're wrong. They refused to transfer my wife's gun to her. I still was able to get mine and my background check went through no problem. So the issue wasn't like my wife was buying a gun for me. She was not. We bought our guns, and I was able to get mine and she was not able to get hers because of a policy, that they claimed was "law". They claim the first line I have no problem with them having a policy in place that may be stricter than the law. But, don't claim it's the law, then be shown that its not the law, and then refuse to transfer it on the grounds its illegal. It's not. When I was leaving Dave was speaking out loud that they will "continue to abide by their policies". I re-iterated, that the keyword in that was POLICY, not LAW, said have a good day and walked out. Dave proceeded to follow me to the parking lot saying, "don't walk away from me like that" and said if I came back I would be trespassing. So, in sum, they treated me extremely poorly as if I was some sort of criminal (yet still gave me a gun after my background check came through), would not let my wife get her gun, when shown and told directly from an ATF agent that the ATF and law has no problem with this transaction, told me not to come back and trespassed me, and still have my wife's gun that we've already paid for... DO NOT COME HERE! Vote with your dollar, we have a right to bear arms, and they would not let my wife legally exercise that right.

Last Thursday at noon I ordered an paid for a ruger. He told me it would be in by Saturday but Tuesday at the latest. Saturday comes and goes and he doesn't call to update or nothing. I thought well I guess it didn't come in yet. A courtesy call would've been nice to follow up and let me know. Monday rolls around. Still nothing no update message. Ok it must be Tuesday I thought. Tuesday passes and I still don't hear from him all day. I had to really try hard to contact him. It wasn't easy. I left a message. He calls me back and says he saw a missed call from my number. He didn't even listen to my message and no idea who I was! Listen to your business messages, dude! He says now Wednesday for sure because it must've been delayed by the rain. Wednesday afternoon comes he still hasn't contacted me. So I go in on to the shop and he doesn't know who I am. I was just in there buying a gun from him personally four days ago and now he doesn't know me from Adam. The shop is nearly empty ever I have been in, so it's not like he's had a million customers to remember. I refreshed his memory. I ask where my purchase is and he gives me the runaround, it's not there, but he can get it, etc. do I still want it? What?? I couldn't believe my ears. Where's my gun?? I finally just asked for a refund. He has a really cheap financial transaction set up on his phone to make sales, no register. He takes my card, swipes it in his phone and says I'll now get a refund. Twenty minutes later I still have NO receipt in my texts of my refund like he said it would appear. I had to go back to the shop again! Where's my receipt? And now he wants me to wait while he works with another customer! There were these shady older teenagers hanging around the shop with tattoos on their faces. When I left I had to ignore them whispering after me "psst hey buddy hey buddy lemme ask you something" like they were trying to sell me something shady. Terrible experience! Really unprofessional. He doesn't run is business successfully and I suspect his poor customer service till run him out of business soon Take your money elsewhere!

He originally said they would arrive in 4 or 5 days. I've made several trips to the shop, and each time I get a different excuse. The worst excuse was that the barrels were "shot out" and needed to be replaced. Then he said that he had to screw the barrels in very slowly or they would loosen up. THEY'RE BREAK ACTION GUNS!, no threads to screw! I checked the status of his FFL and it expired on July 1. So why is he taking money for guns he can't deliver because his FFL is expired? At this point, I just want my money back!
