Atmosphere, food, and service were all exceptional. We ordered the avotizer, tacos, veggie burger, a cinnamon bun smoothie, and an apple/orange/grapefruit juice. Just moving back to the area from Cali, it was such a nice surprise to find a raw/vegan restaurant/juice bar in NEPA. I honestly never thought I would see the day.. The prices are really reasonable for the quality of ingredients. We will definitely be back. My only critique would be that the restaurant was hard to find. Perhaps a larger sign or a banner might help patrons locate you a bit easier. read more

Fantastic, fresh food! The raw lasagna is amazing. It seems so simple with the possibility of blandness, however the tremendous, fresh flavor seems supernatural from this dish. We also had the "cheese" on live bread and nearly fell over with delight. Completing our dinner with Banana ice cream topped with cinnamon and coconut flakes we felt ready to go into the light and become one with the universe! read more

Exceptional raw, vegan, organic food! The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and the prices are great. I have eaten raw vegan food in NYC, San Francisco, and Boston, but Nucleus is my favorite restaurant. I have brought carnivore friends here, and they have enjoyed their meals tremendously! Lovely new option for vegans and healthy eaters. Adorable setting, plenty of outdoor seating, and feel good Bob Marley & Rasta tunes. Inexpensive and gorgeous paintings decorated the walls, for sale by artist. Got the green smoothie and the Ray's Smile salad. Filled me up for hours and had a little salad left over which I took home for a snack. Brought along two meat-eaters who were quite pleased with their salads and smoothies as well. Just visiting my family this week so I sadly cannot become a regular, but would return again during my next NEPA stay. read more

I have visited this quaint little restaurant twice within the last year, and I only wish I could afford to eat here every day. I'm a vegan of almost two years and live in an area where special diets are not catered to much. It's so refreshing to walk into this home turned restaurant and be welcomed by a down to earth atmosphere. The walls are painted a bright green, I suppose, is to represent the love of ecology. There is even a bookshelf filled with related books on veganism to inspire and inform guests. They don't have much menu variety with more of it being smoothies than raw meals. However, don't let that discourage you. Everything they make is fresh, nourishing, and delicious. They definitely know what they are doing. I hope to try more items in the future but, so far, the chic-a-dilla is the best taco I've ever had. Seriously and it's raw. So it's just veggies, nuts, and possibly seeds. It shows you how pleasuring food can still be without all the processed addictive and chemicals. Excellent job in the kitchen. Keep up the great work. Nucleus recently expanded and updated their space. Their food was great before, now I can enjoy it with lots of elbow room and in a really nice atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and polite and makes you feel right at home. read more

Truly a hidden gem! I cannot say enough about how delicious the food is. Didn't know what to expect the first time I went (what with it being all raw), but the food is so packed with flavor and I've yet to try something I didn't like. The workers are always so kind and the service is consistently fantastic. If you're looking for a slow entry into raw food, try the taco salad! After researching vegetarian/vegan restaurants in the area, I visited Nucleus today with my (omnivorous) mom. We ordered the tacos, and they were THE BOMB DOT COM. Haha. The seasonings were just right and very flavorful, and the vegan cheese sauce was amazing. We both couldn't stop raving about the food. I will definitely be visiting once again, and hopefully get to try a juice or smoothie. Also, the atmosphere is super serene and the staff was lovely! Food was good, service was terrible. I believe it was the owner who took my order. The establishment seemed like it tried to put off a "positive vibe" yet he was rude, cocky and fake. Will not return. Couldn't even find the place without a sign placed on it, practice what you preach fella. Thumbs down. read more
