I've been eating at Nudy's for the past 4 years and I can't remember the last time I got their pancakes. Well, 2 days ago I did, and I can't help but feel dissatisfied. I informed the waitress beforehand that I wanted the pancakes well done and she sincerely acknowledged my request. However, the pancakes were partly raw. I told the waitress about it and I instead had something else. The manager knew about this and gave me reasons why this happened but I found them hard to believe. The manager's demeanor was not much help either-I get it. I'm sure many managers in most restaurants are under considerable stress -AS managers. Even so, making well done pancakes should be a no- brainer. I would not be surprised that many customers don't like Nudy's pancakes but eat them anyway or maybe not at all and don't bother complaining about it because it's not worth the trouble. Because of this, nothing changes for the better. Needless to say, the next time I go to Nudy's, I will not get any pancakes. Mind you, I've been to other restaurants and it's the same problem: they can't make good pancakes. It is as if it's asking too much of them and it probably is. THAT'S why I'll never eat them again. I'll stick to the other dishes they fare much better at. Despite all this, I still gave the waitress a good tip because none of this is her fault. read more

If I could leave zero stars, I would. Came in alone for breakfast--apparently that's enough to get ignored here. Sat for 15 minutes with no service. No one greeted me, offered a drink, or even gave me silverware. Meanwhile, people who walked in at the same time were already eating and had coffee. And no, it wasn't busy--so there's no excuse. I was passed over multiple times like I didn't exist. I've been here before and the service was decent, but clearly that's gone downhill. This place gets a 1-star rating solely due to the abysmal management. Our orders were a complete mess, with multiple mistakes. After an eternity, a single pancake finally arrived. To top it all off, they tried to overcharge us, and when our card was declined, the manager loudly announced 'watch them there card declined' - utterly unprofessional and embarrassing! I was very disappointed when I opened the box to see more fruit than chicken salad. The chicken was good it's a- shame there wasn't more. The description also mentioned coleslaw- there was none. The food portion size was great for the price. The quality of food was delicious. We got crêpes and the apple cinnamon pancakes. The server kept coming by and refilling our coffee. This is a nice neighbor breakfast and lunch spot in the downtown West Chester area. I was tore with getting the carrot cake French toast or the apple cake one but they were out of the carrot one so that made my decision. The food was very filling and cooked well. Been to Nudy's multiple different times now. I always enjoy my experience! They have sweet and savory options on the menu. And SO many options at that. Pumpkin French Toast? Cinnamon Bun French Test? Ahi Tuna Florentine. Lobster Eggs Benedict! You name it they probably have it. They also have your classic diner options. Their coffee is good too! The wait staff is always friendly and attentive. The wait is usually about 20-30 minutes during a busy hour for a party of 2-4. This location has a small parking lot out front. It's usually full but you may get lucky and snag a spot! Otherwise there's a parking garage close by and street parking is always an option as well. read more

It's a hit or miss depending on what you get. I ordered the carrot cake French toast and it was out of this world good - very fluffy, the whipped cream tasted home made, and they really hit the mark on the carrot cake. The food was good. No problem at with that. However, our server was something else. I don't like to complain about servers. I'm one myself. I have worked in the service industry for ages. She had attitude immediately. Was consistently rude. Any time we asked for anything or said a word to her, she would stand in disbelief. She would literally stand there, she'll shocked looking for ten seconds before rolling her eyes. We needed a couple more minutes once, slack jaw and eye roll. We asked for a box. Same thing. Any normal cafe/restaurant request was met with some weird behavior and attitude. I'm blown away. Quite honestly. And no matter how good the food is, this woman's behavior and treating our family so poorly on our one trip out while visiting this state was just offensive. Handle your staff. Train them to speak to humans like a human. Or get new staff. Your food won't save you when your servers are trying to kill your business. read more

I stopped in today with a small group in search of a comforting Sunday breakfast. It was pretty empty inside due to the snowstorm from the night before but I can imagine it gets packed on a regular Sunday. Luckily, they had their own parking lot which is convenient for patrons in downtown West Chester. We all ordered varieties of french toast which were tasty, but the real MVP was the peaches and cream french toast. Simply amazing! The combination of granola, whipped cream, peaches and yogurt all swirled together create heaven in your mouth. No syrup needed at all for this dish. Their eggs benefit was solid too - they had a nice thick hollandaise sauce accompanied by some crispy home fries. Our carrot cake french toast was good - but a little too dense. I wouldn't even consider it french toast, it's literally three small, super thick bricks of cake. Still tasty but more of a dessert. I will definitely come back for another sugar filled breakfast high. They have a ton of options and you can't go wrong with any of the specialty pancakes/french toasts. read more

To preface, the food was edible but underwhelming and slightly over priced, reasonable given inflation and location though. We were between Market Street Grill and Nudy's, and decided, given the reviews and closing time to go here. No complaints about the service. We received our food shortly after ordering. Presentation was nice but the breakfast burger was a little disappointing as the burger tasted a little barnyard-E and lacked salt. Not sure if cleanliness of grill or perhaps age of the burger came into play...on the topic of cleanliness, the bathrooms need a little more attention, as well as the entire place. Would love a little extra care and revamp to the place given this is now a local "chain"...maybe I'm being a little harsh but I came here pre-covid/2018 and it was a cute lovely place. Back to food...the salad dressing was quite enjoyable (balsamic) but wished the veggies, primarily cucumbers were more mouth sized. To the pancake--which damn 1 choco chip pancake = 6.99 is INSANE. Should have passed on the pancake actually...it was just a pancake. The omelet we got, the red peppers and feta cheese omelet, was average at best. It did its job but lacked feta and roasted red peppers. I would have liked to have more egg in it too...maybe prepared a little more with care, but given the pictures/reviews we got what we expected. The coffee and OJ we ordered were fine and same with the hash browns. I mean for 41.00 I expected more in terms of flavor...but again, it got the job done; belly full. We will be going somewhere else next time. Just not exciting or flavorful enough for the price and atmosphere. read more

Food was good, but overall the experience was sub par. We ordered eggs Benedict, an omelette, and pancakes. I think the prices were overrated for the quality of the food. They charged me $3 to replace my home fries with fruit, and gave me 8 pieces of fruit. I think we were charged $6 for one specialty pancake. The food was not anything special and I've definitely had better in other places in West Chester. Additionally, the staff wasn't very friendly or attentive. What a great brunch spot! We were seated right away at 12:30pm on a Saturday. So many enticing options on the menu I had trouble deciding. I went with the Belgium Waffle (why isn't it Belgian??? Seriously, always baffled by this!) with Strawberries and Whipped Cream which was heavenly. My daughter had French Toast topped with Peaches, Vanilla Yogurt, Granola and Whipped Cream and hubby had a ham and cheese omelet, his usual when out to eat for breakfast, with fresh fruit on the side instead of hash browns. Had some really bad sandwiches from here a few Saturdays back. My kids couldn't even get the burger down since it was so over done. The turkey sandwich had sawdust turkey and wilted lettuce. The manager at this place was disgusting the way she spoke to my friend was awful and made the whole experience terrible! The waiter was very nice and the rest of the staff but the manager with the short grey hair was gross! Well. I called 10 mins before getting there to ask if dogs were allowed on the patio. The answer was yes. As I arrived my mom went inside to get a table, as I was standing outside a women came and asked the waitress if she could sit, at the table I had my eye on bc it was in the shade, waitress replied yes. I politely said I am waiting for an outside table, and they both rudely told me there were plenty- all in the sun. Meanwhile the other person in my party came out and told me dogs were not allowed bc the owner doesn't want dogs on the patio. Even tho the only seats left we're in the parking lot and i called prior and was told yes, we were not allowed to sit. If I could give negative stars I would. I order Nudys numerous times a week. It WAS my go to spot. I placed a pick up order and was told to wait a few more minutes. No problem. NOBODY HELPED ME FOR OVER 20 MINUTES. The host told me she was busy and couldn't check on my order. Didn't know you guys don't value your customers. The fact that she couldn't step aside for 30 seconds to see if my order was ready was mind blowing. I work in the service industry myself and am just appalled at how I was just treated. HANDICAP NONCOMPLIANCE - and general lack of customer service. Nudy's does not take reservations - even to secure a table for our 2 deaf family members (celebrating our mother's 80th birthday), who require a table located in a place conducive to effective communication through an interpreter. Despite many pleas for such, and the opportunity to make money on a party of 7, Nudy's refused the request with no explanation other than to repeat their no-reservation policy. Just a few months ago, another Nudy's restaurant refused to allow a service dog with a party of 4 outside. There is absolutely no excuse for this shameless behavior and we will NEVER return to this or any other Nudy's restaurant. read more

So happy we found this place! Saturday brunch with my BF and there was about a 15min wait but totally worth it. Small place with limited lot parking very discrete looking building from the outside; inside is very simple small, kinda weird while the hungry waiting guest can stare you down while you eat but we were lucky enough to get far back seating. I think there's more seating behind the register area. Service was fast and very friendly. I ordered the lobster Benedict which was good, at first I wasn't sure if it had lobster or not but it was under the egg, it was mostly claw and knuckle meat; it may have been a frozen lobster or frozen after pre cooking Bc it wasn't the same texture. Still Impressed with the portion size not skimpy on home fries. My bf ordered the banana Walnut Pancakes w/2 scrambled eggs and sausage. They were amazing!!!! Huge portion, lots of banana in the Pancakes and loads of walnuts on top! Every bite was banana-licious! These are the best banana pancakes we have ever tried!
