Nudy's in Paoli: warm service, familiar flavors just don't expect fireworks on the plate. Been here twice this month, once for breakfast and once for lunch. Been seated inside and outside. Service has always been kind and helpful. The food is good just not anything special. Diner like food. I would expect something better but it is ok. The French Toast was as good as I make at home. The Buffalo Chicken Wrap left much to be desired. Described as "Buffalo chicken tossed in blue cheese dressing with lettuce, chopped tomatoes and red onions in a flour tortilla," it was more like a few pieces of cubed chicken, dosed with buffalo sauce then smothered in oils and very light dressing and jammed in a wrap with too much lettuce and tomatoes that added to the wet oily feel. I just expect more chicken than salad in a wrap like that. Hope they hear. read more

Nudy's is the best! They have a great amount of breakfast/brunch options. I really enjoyed the Huevos Rancheros. It was so filling and fresh. The huevos rancheros came with jalapeños, sour cream, hash browns, tomatoes, and carrots. Definitely like how they used hash browns instead of the typical tortilla chip! The Tuscan Omelet was very cheesy. I loved how I could substitute fruit for the fries; however, I wish they would give more of a quantity of fruit. This was my second time here, and I regret giving Nudy's another chance. Food is mediocre at best, but what really stands out here is the absolute worst service. A waitress, who seemed rushed, came over and asked if I wanted something to drink. I told her that I was actually ready to order, which made her roll her eyes and show some attitude. She took my order and a minute later, without saying a single word, she brought a cup of lukewarm coffee, slammed it on the table, and pushed it towards me, almost spilling some of it. When she brought over the food, I noticed that there weren't any utensils to eat with. I had to wait a few minutes before I could get her attention to tell her that. When I finally started eating, I was still chewing my very first bite when she came over again, mumbled "Whenever you're ready" and slammed a check on my table. Every single refill of coffee I had to ask for, every single one. The AC was running at max, which made it freezing cold inside the restaurant, I was uncomfortably cold wearing a T-shirt. And a lady that took my payment on the way out had the guts to ask me how everything was, delivering it in the most convincing way that she really didn't care about the answer to her question. Stay away from this place, they don't want your business. When servers act like they are doing you a favor, you know you are in a typical food chain environment where your presence is a burden. Find a local diner and have breakfast there instead, where servers treat you like a next-door neighbor, checking on you regularly and bringing you more coffee way before bringing a check. read more

Restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating. I sat outside today and they offered space heaters. Service was a bit poor. But the food was good. It's not the best I've had, but it's not bad. I ate a crab omelette and a Cinnamon Bun Pancake. You only need 1 pancakes, it's huge and worth the price. The house fries are hash browns which couldn't used a little more cooking, but it was still good. I definitely recommend the pancakes. Next time I'd like to try their French toasts. read more

Atmosphere: A The exterior of Nudy's Cafe is clean, modern, and cute. It's not a big, shiny, diner but a small modern building. The inside is bright and clean. There are several tables throughout the diner.  We sat in the back corner.  It wasn't crowded but there is plenty of space, so you don't feel like you're sitting on top of anyone. Coffee: The coffee at Nudy's cafe was great. The waitress kept our coffee refilled at all times.  It was hot and fresh, locally brewed Lacas coffee. I couldn't have asked for better coffee. Food: The Nudy's Cafe menu has everything a stereotypical diner usually has, but it's only open for breakfast and lunch. The promise at Nudy's Cafe is to make you feel welcome, nourished and excited about coming back because of the freshly-made, great food. On the menu, there are plenty of omelets, sandwiches, and salad options. On the back, there was a full page of specials. I contemplated the avocado toast (I've never had that before) but ultimately decided to order the Greek Wrap with a side mixed salad. The classic wrap was stuffed with chickpeas, feta cheese, greens, onions, and tomatoes. The side salad wasn't anything unusual but tasted good too. In all, it was a good meal. A family favorite for brunch. Today I grabbed some sandwiches for lunch take out (corned beef special! YUM and a Rueben) and I wanted to mention how thoughtful the take out packaging was! I ordered fries with my sandwich and the sandwich was carefully wrapped in paper with the fries wrapped in separate paper. The fries were crispy, the sandwich was well constructed and it was great. Apparently on the Main Line PA we've decided instead of a few big diners like most places we will have a bunch of delicious cafes and only one or two real diners. But since that line of delicious cafes is Nudy's, it works out well. The one I most frequent is Paoli and while the parking in that entire lot can be tight, usually you can get a space and not have too much hassle. If you arrive during peak times, expect a wait, but you can sit at the bar which usually has a spot or two open. Non peak times have never been an issue to get seating. They are cafes, not set up for large groups. I have always found Nudy's to have an excellent breakfast balance of truly fresh and healthy (vegetables, salads, wraps, that are creative and filling) and decadent (french toast is often just something fried up LIKE french toast, fried cake for breakfast). They actually do switch out their menu seasonably and towards trends but manage to do all the basics exceptionally well. There's a reason it's a regular haunt. Sadly the service is inconsistent. Sometimes it's fine. Sometimes it starts warm and then disappears. Sometimes it's sporadic. Sometimes it's barely there. I never really know what to expect and have learned to try and jump ahead on asking for refills/extras/boxes/check so I don't spend 20 minutes awkwardly at an empty table hoping my server passes by. It's easy to see why these keep building up in every city along 30/202. Great breakfast spots which are open until the afternoon is a need in the area. If they got their service up to consistently great, this place would be unbeatable. read more

I'll add that I am a big fan of the Frazer location right off the bat. So I had high expectations coming in. They were met. Oh yes, they were met. I saw Carrot Cake French Toast on the menu. I had to see what that was all about. Let's call this what it is. It isn't French Toast. It's cake made up to look like French Toast. It's basically a plate of cake for breakfast. And it's freaking awesome!!! I don't care if it isn't quite what it says it is. I downed it with two eggs and bacon happily. Service was more than friendly. I have been eating at Nudy's for years, starting with their location in Strafford, PA and have always enjoyed their food. It is consistently good quality and a good value - a perfect breakfast/lunch spot. In recent years, their Paoli location has become a favorite, especially the outdoor patio in warm weather. We ate inside today and felt safe, with tables spaced adequately apart. Our server was friendly and cheerful, as the staff usually is/has been with prior Nudy's visits... this is always a good sign when the staff is happy. Today I enjoyed the Salmon Florentine and my hubby dove into both the Strawberries and Cream french toast and eggs/bacon the side. It was filling and delicious. Don't have much to say here other than the fact that it's super cute and is near some great thrift shops! Do note the area you are in (aka main line) so things may be inflated a bit. What this place makes up despite prices for diner Esq food is quantity + quality. I came here with a friend who was a native in the area. It's definitely a place where locals eat~ I can vouch that you should get the Delicious lobster Benedict! Their salmon plate was pretty hefty as well with fresh fish that won't disappoint. In terms of noise level - think like New York diner (Bustling with people and conversation everywhere) not a great place if you hit the weekend and you're actually trying to catch up with a friend. Service was extremely friendly - think nice small town waitressing in a bustling diner so you get my gist. If you can call ahead please do as this place can fill up fast. This is probably one of my new favorite places to eat breakfast. My daughter told me about this restaurant and how good their breakfast was so we decided to come here. I ordered a pork roll egg and cheese on an English muffin and usually I end up ordering a second one but the ones at this restaurant are huge and I only needed to order one side of home fries were also very big. My daughter loves their gigantic waffles. The atmosphere was friendly and the crowd was mixed ages but very well mannered friendly people. Our past experiences eating at Nudy's have been positive, and the food was very good. However, today was extremely disappointing. We overheard there were only three servers today, but we were surprisingly seated quickly. We expected a bit of a wait given their staffing. All the servers kept passing by our table, presenting orders to customers seated after us. After 30 minutes, I managed to get the attention of our server, and asked about the status of our order since I noticed people seated after us were already eating. After checking, she proceeded to tell us that she didn't see the order back in the kitchen. So she meant to say she lost our order slip and we were just waiting for nothing? No one ever bothered to check why we still did not have our food. She said they could prepare it quickly. But at this time we were hungry and upset. We repeated to tell the order that we gave to her 30 minutes ago, and decided that we couldn't wait anymore; our son was hungry and we'll gonna eat somewhere else. It's one thing to be understaffed and busy. But if you can walk past a table who has clearly no food on their table while other people are eating, common courtesy is to check up on them to see if they are doing ok. That is good customer service. This may not mean much, since I am ONLY a customer, but the way we were treated today made us feel like we were literally invisible. I can truly say that you have lost a customer for life. We will NEVER eat at one of your restaurants again. The only thing we have to remember this day is a story that our son is saying about how we waited and waited for food that never came. And believe me he likes to talk..and tell everyone about his experiences. read more

Reading through the menu online and seeing item after item that sound very good I couldn't wait to try Nudy's out. Well I am sorry to say that the menu descriptions were not the reality. The building is small and very loud. The coffee cups are square and hard to drink out of. No seasoning at all on the eggs or home fries. The crab had shells in it and was very watery. Very disappointed because it had so much potential. The prices were high too as well as the parking is very limited. Too many excellent breakfast places to eat at near by. I doubt I will be back. Best diner in the area! Expect about a 15-30 min wait for two on the weekends. Well worth it though! I ordered the smoked salmon and cream cheese omelet - but it wasn't your typical LEO (lox, eggs, onion) omelet! No, this omelet was cooked through first and then the lox was added so the salmon wasn't cooked and bright pink. The cream cheese came on the side so you could add as much as you wanted. So much tastier than a traditional LEO! I got the hash browns deep fried and they came in tiny little fried potato sticks. Absolutely delectable. Not too fried but still very crispy and crunchy. One of my favorite places to go! Love their breakfast and lunch options. Especially their banana pancakes and Melba French toast! Also love their cinnamon bun French toast! It's huge but it's delicious because it's an actual cinnamon bun not just a piece of toast that tastes like it. One good tip is that you can get a short stack with their pancakes and most of the French toast options. A great place to go for a quick meal. Gets pretty packed at peak hours. It's one of their smaller locations but I think one of the best locations. Also great place to sit outside in the warmer weather. read more
