I wasn't particularly looking for any services but ended up talking to Laura about her work in eyebrow microblading. It was really impressive. Laura has been doing different forms of "permanent makeup" -eyebrows, lips, eyeliner, etc. She creates a very natural effect- not overdone and it's not noticeable that it's been done at all. I had my eyebrows filled in a bit with natural-looking strokes that look like individual brow hairs. She took the time to look at my face and measure out the exact proportions that would be flattering for my face shape. I appreciated the extra time that she took to explain the process and what to expect. She has a take-home packet that explains each stage of the healing process so I got reassurance along the way and knew that everything is on track. Her attention to detail is great. read more

Horrible little dinky place. Staff is rude and unknowledgable. I thought I had found my perfect spa, right next to the beach and the prices aren't too bad. I was ready to spend 100% of my spa allotted money here. My services started with an eyebrow wax. They completely ripped off my eyebrows and wouldn't grant me a refund. A little call to American Express gave me my money back, but what a hassle. After having my brows ripped off I mainly consulted with Eileen, the owner, who kept telling me that I had "designer eyebrows," then offered to teach me how to draw them back on my face. Hmmm I have designer eyebrows yet I still need to learn how to crayon them on? I let her teach me then was astonished as she tried to sell me the eyebrow pencils. You ruined my face for the summer, shouldn't I get a free pencil? That's ok because I found my savior, Spa Violet, in Cardiff. read more

Was running a little late but the staff were very calm and understanding which we appreciated greatly. I had a full body massage. Got the pumpkin enzyme facial treatment via a groupon deal. I thought this would be a facial with the enzyme treatment, which was not the case. They put the product on and off and that was it. No steaming to open the pores, no facial massage that normally comes with a facial (she did touch my face twice if you want to count that). Afterwards I checked their website again, and they list facial and facial treatment into different groups - maybe they do not do any of the normal facial procedures under "facial treatment"? In that case, future YELP customers should know what to expect. What I found unacceptable was that she did not even turn on the light and have a look at my skin. What is the point to go to a professional if all they did was putting the product on? I could have bought the product and do it at home. And why having me to fill out the questionnaire if she did not even look at it? I was not given any personalized attention. In short, I was in and out the spa in 30 minutes. Yes, 30 minutes and that included being offered a cup of tea, filling out the questionnaire, changing into the robe, the treatment, dressing up, and checking out. I was disappointed. read more

She squeezed me in right away and spent a ton of time in the initial consultation asking me all about my lifestyle, diet and skin concerns. She then applied a variety of techniques (explaining all along) without up charging me for the extras - she even said her philosophy is to do what's needed whatever that may be. I left with beautiful glowing skin that was not in the least overworked despite her thoroughness. When I arrived I was in so much pain from some stress knots in my neck and shoulder I was almost in tears.
