I have been a customer at this mailbox store and gift shop for over 15 years. Not only do I rent a business mailbox but I use the store for all of my packaging and shipping needs. It also has a wonderful selection of gifts if you're on your way to a birthday party or want to ship a gift out of town. You can buy a unique gift, a cute gift bag with tissue paper and a card all in one place! The owner, Michael, always makes his customers feel special and keeps an eye out for us. The man working behind the Counter (Michael) has extreme emotional issues. Apparently from the reviews I'm not the only one who seems to think this. Seems like if your a regular and he knows you then you might have a better experience, but if your new to his shop brace yourself because he can be really mean, and rude to you directly for no reason. No one needs Extra stress in life. Really we don't. There's enough going on in this world. I could never give someone my business that is rude and hurtful. Imagine what it was like in the good ol' days... I've had a box with Michael for nearly 20 years and I don't even live in California anymore. I trust him with my life. Never has there been a kinder person. One cannot pay for the kind of service you can expect to receive here -- because it doesn't exist. I never worry about packages sent to or from this location - If it's in Michael's hands it'll be done right. I don't have many postal needs but this is the place i used to use for shipping, key copying, I've bought keychains and stamps and greeting cards....i stopped in today because i had a box to ship with a prepaid label. I asked if he could just throw a piece of tape on it. It would have been totally fine with me if he just lnformed me nicely that they changed their policy and they do not put tape on boxes with prepaid labels anymore. But he proceeded to tell me that he doesn't want any customers who come in and ask for tape on a prepaid label box to come into his store. As i said ok no problem and nicely walked out with my box, he continued on to inform me that if i wait in line for 40 minutes at the post office, They won't put tape on it either. So i have no problem using the other 6 local postal places for my postal needs. And i also have no problem buying tape from them. read more

Every single time I walk out of here after an errand or shipping something I feel so much better than when I first walked in. This isn't just about getting my errands done. Number One mailbox is an experience. I've been coming here for years and Michael has always given me great advice, encouragement, support, etc. Since he too is also an artist he gets it so his egging me on gives me the fuel I need to keep up with what I am doing. This mailbox center is beyond helpful. Michael, the owner, is on site and goes out of his way to assist in everything I need to complete shipping for my business. He has a variety of boxes and envelopes available to purchase, which cuts out an extra trip for me! Truly a all in one mailbox store that makes my time more efficient. Oh and also they have the coolest gift section with books, wine accessories, novelties and cards. That has been super helpful when I am behind and come up on a birthday or holiday last minute. My step dad went into this place because it was so close to our house and seemed to be very convenient. I have NEVER given a bad review in my life, but from how frustrated my step dad was I knew I needed to. He is a very kind man and rarely gets upset for context. My step dad needed to ship 4 t-shirt to the UK. However for some reason the price to ship only ONE came out to 66$. This is because the man working the counter (Michael it seems like) never made it clear he only uses priority Mail. While my step dad was being ringed up the computer system crashes and their is already a line of people behind him. So he just says to ship the one shirt and goes to the postal office, which only costed 24$ to ship 4 shirts to the UK. Obviously frustrated my step dad goes back into this place to see if he can get some kind of refund or an explanation for the price difference. This is when he is first told about how they only use priority Mail. I find this to be incredibly unsavory business practices, especially since the man behind the counter KNEW it was priority Mail and CHOSE not to say anything. Don't go to this place unless you want to be lied to about the real cost of shipping. read more

I didn't realize what a gem this place was until I had a bad mailbox rental. The owner is great, friendly, and knows you on a name basis. I stopped going here once I moved for work, but the service is excellent and probably the best mailbox rental in Beverly Hills and that I have had in experience. When I stopped my service I still had mail sent here and he gave me my mail for free. Swell guy, convenient mailbox. read more
