The guy who owns this place rocks. I first stopped by to buy a roll of packing tape since my sister told me the it was only $1 (unlike the $3 that the US Post Office charges). I was shipping a laptop via USPS--I planned on getting the tape and packing it at home. The owner asked if I only needed the tape to ship the laptop, which I happened to have on me that day. I said yes, and he went to a storage room to find a box that would fit my computer, then packed IT FOR ME, and told me that there was no need for me to buy the tape. I offered to give him money for helping me out, but he declined and said it was no problem. He even told me that for the weight of the item, it would be cheaper to go down the street and ship it at the post office. The owner's a quality person. This kind of customer service is hard to come by, so definitely go if you need to ship, copy, or fax something. read more

Found this place on Yelp on a Tuesday morning - I needed to make a copy before heading to the post office and Sergio quickly helped me. He was courteous and friendly. He said he wouldn't typically charge for a one page copy but accepted a donation. He recently acquired this place so any reviews from some time ago may not reflect the new ownership/management. I would recommend for copying services. It seems like folks can rent mailboxes here and ship packages. read more

I have been with uptown mail for over 15 years ( Reed ) Since Sergio has taken over I have experienced the WORST service ever. Sergio is not a good business man. He is dishonest, he keep's my money and does not provide the service. I have had to pay over $75.00 in fines due to not receiving my mail from Uptown Mail ( Sergio)......I would advise anyone that is considering doing business with Uptown Mail....NOT TO!!!!!! Did business with Uptown Mail & Parcel for about 10 years until I moved. The man who owns and runs the place is always willing to go the extra mile. Working with him through the years has been a positive experience. He is very friendly and efficient. When I changed my mailing address and moved my mailing address to another U.S. Postal office near where I moved, I was sad because I felt like this little business became so much like a place I would miss. I do miss the friendly personal service Reed provides. The U.S. Postal office where I have my mail delivered now is impersonal. If I have a question about my mail, I now have to wait in line to even talk to the postal clerks. I put in forwarding address when I moved, but some packages and letters tend to drift into Uptown Mail & Parcel. Reed still takes the time to call me and let me know I have mail at his place. I gave him my contact information and even after almost a year of not using his mail store, he still takes the time to watch over my mail for no fee. Can't get better than that! I read on of the reviews by Jes M who said she called The Uptown Mail place at 4:55 p.m. and the owner said the store closed at 5pm &when she started asking a question, he hung up. Reid has never hung up on me and is always friendly and courteous. If the woman wanted to keep talking, that was her problem, as he has to take some time to close the store by 5 pm. I'm sure he told her to call back the next day. Some people just don't understand being courteous involves being respectful of other people's time frames. For example if she did business with the U.S. Postal service, they turn off their phone promptly & lock the doors at closing time.. Reid was probably trying to get his phones turned off when she called. I think she was rude and inconsiderate to write him a poor review based on her unrealistic expectations! Reid goes out of his way to help people, but when it's time to close.....it's time to close. read more

small store next to uptown Whittier. the owner of this establishment is very nice and a very helpful gentleman. the few times i have been inside the store he greets everyone with a big smile and you can really tell he cares that your packages/mail gets shipped out. he also has a machine to make spare keys. and it seems like he also faxes out papers if needed for a smallllll fee. havent been to a store like this where the owner/employees treat the customers with such great care. read more

The owner here, Reed Rousselle, is popular in town because he is so customer oriented and friendly. He's even upbeat on the phone. I drive Uptown when I need to ship something, even though Office Depot is closer to my home. About ten years ago I offered Reed the bubble wrap from my daughter's wedding presents and he seemed genuinely pleased to get it. Hours: 9:00 - 5:00 Monday thru Friday. He saves weekends to attend his kids' sporting events. My kind of guy. My kind of place. read more
