Service: 2.5 straightforward order, wait, then pick-up Fro-yo: 2.3 Drove my wife down to Fresno so she can do some business in town before going to LA. So I looked for a local dessert place (by picture from other Yelpers) and I was in the mood for ice cream or fro-yo. I didn't realize that this place is very similar to the Somi Somi franchise; but still gave it a shot. Inside is very small and plain = NO SITTING so it is literally take-out. Ordering is simple and the cashier was friendly. I wished the fro-yo portions matched what customers received in the past, and there was no option to order small, medium or large. The flavors: pistachio not overly sweet was perfect for my wife. I ordered the half chocolate half brown sugar and only could taste chocolate so I was disappointed . Also their "fish" cone had a salty aftertaste. Overall, it's not an experience I would even give a 2nd try.
My first time trying taiyaki and I really enjoyed it! I tried the matcha soft serve with Nutella filled taiyaki. The taiyaki was delicious and the soft serve was good, however, I wish the matcha flavor was stronger. It tasted more like vanilla. The interior is really cute but there is no seating so not ideal place to hang out. I thought the prices were really good and service was great :)
I was pleasantly surprised to find such a good taiyaki spot in Fresno. I tried the pandan and ube soft serve swirl, and it was delicious. The flavors complemented each other really well without being overly sweet. The taiyaki itself was fresh and perfectly baked. It's strictly a grab-and-go spot with no seating. That didn't bother me, but I could see it being a factor during the hotter months.

The only super noticeable difference compared to our first visit was the one dine-in table, and its chairs, was missing. Therefore, we enjoyed our treats on the outdoor bench.

I had an ube pandan taiyaki cone with custard filling and ube drizzle on top, plus some assorted warm filled taiyaki to go. I appreciated that they offered samples so that I didn't have to commit to pandan without knowing if I would like it. Everything was delicious! And the shop has cute decorations.

1/26/26 Update!! Getting dinner to share!! Arrived! Greeted. Very kind worker. Ordered the Ube ice cream cup with Ube Taiyaki and Nutella & Oreo 2 pack. Paid for it and the worker made it right up and offered it to-go along with a bag. Received good day wishes too! Nice inside. Safe $ clean with tables & chairs. Cute set up! Dinner! Ube Taiyaki Ube cup split. My half was DELICIOUS! Perfect sweetness!! Flavorful! Oreo Taiyaki was GREAT too!! Not too sweet! Just Right!! Mother said her Ube 1/2 & Nutella Taiyaki was REALLY GREAT!! We don't really have anything like this in Fresno that makes fresh Taiyaki. We live coming here to get a cold sweet treat! They make the Taiyaki in house and is made to order so you know it's fresh. They are always coming out with new soft serve flavors, one of my fav is their milk tea flavor which I hope they bring back! We got their pandan and ube swirl soft serve and it was such a great combo! Love the flavors together. The Taiyaki is soft and crispy. Super yummy to pair with the your order. You can add toppings of your choice at the end. Our order came out about 5 mins. Not a long wait time at all. The staff are young and friendly. They have some indoor seatings but limited since the establishment is pretty small.
Came here for a sweet treat. Everything was made fresh and was good. My mom got the pizza one and said reminded her of a pizza pocket and was good.

Are you wanting to venture out & try something new? Yep this is the spot for you. Cute spot but even yummier ice cream. I was a little apprehensive to try the flavors but the nice cashier gave me small samples to try to choose one I'd enjoy. I was going to go super safe flavor but the pistachio one changed my mind completely. The fish or cone was strong enough to hold my melting ice cream and didn't get soggy! One of the best spots for dessert/ice cream here in Fresno! My fiance and I have gone here several times and are always satisfied. It has got to the point of us waiting for the next month's flavors. This review is long overdue, but Nummy Yummy deserves high praise and recognition for is deliverance to excellent and tasty dessert for the Fresno community. We went here again just a few days ago and it still hits the spot. The menu typically rotates ice cream flavor every month. Not only ice cream, but they also have warm taiyaki! This place reminds me of SomiSomi chain, but to be honest, I think Nummy Yummy is better. All of the staff here are super nice, patient, and always willing to answer your questions. I've come here a lot and have yet to come across a grumpy staff member (haha). The location is in the corner of the RN Market plaza. There is plenty of parking, but I wish they hadn't taken away the indoor seating. There is nowhere to dine in and sit other than the dirty bench outside. I see the majority of people just eating in their car. I hope they decide to offer more flavors and toppings. The various Asian flavors are a hit, and a suggestion box from the public could be an idea. Also, not sure if the eye is playing tricks, but seems like their new cups provide a smaller portion than the old cups. Hopefully that is not the case. read more

Location: Nummy Yummy Date: July 8th, 2025 Service: staff Recently stopped by for a yummy treat I got two items the pizza filled one and the soft served ice cream. The store front is clean and menus are posted up everywhere for the customer to view and order. There's a big parking lot on site for the public. I am here at least once a week! The ube seems to be a regular flavor and it's solid--sweet, creamy, with that signature root-y/starchy richness. Stains your tongue purple lol! No complaints there. The matcha, though, is probably one of the more accurate tasting matcha treats I've had in Fresno. It actually tastes like matcha! earthy, slightly bitter, and not overly sweet. Unfortunately, it's not always available since they rotate flavors monthly, which is a bit of a letdown if you're specifically going for that. I've also tried the pistachio soft serve during a previous visit. It's not bad, but it does taste artificial-- reminds me of tasting perfume. Still enjoyable, just not something I'd go out of my way for again. Portions are on the smaller side. Would've liked a bit more since it's easy to finish pretty quickly! (Addicting) I usually get the taiyaki (fish) with red bean filling. The red bean is on the sweeter side but has a nice consistency(not too gritty which I like.) Occasionally, the taiyaki feels slightly undercooked or maybe just not enough time to cool down from how busy the shop gets--but still decent overall. For two of these Taiyaki cups is about $15. The space is small and there's usually a wait outside, so just something to keep in mind. read more
Came in on a Wednesday afternoon, no other customers. Took about 10 mins for me to get my food. I got one pepperoni takiyaki and a 5 pack of the warm takiyakis. Delicious btw. I'm not a sweets person and I'm just glad they have salty options. The pepperoni one by far my favorite. Especially the parts where the cheese oozed out and got charred. Yum. I'm still thinking about it. I'd definitely come back for that. (5/5) The Oreo flavor was just a Oreo inside. That one was surprisingly good. I do wish they added some cream or something on the tail end because it was just batter. (4/5) The custard was good but I do wish it was a tad bit sweeter. Nothing wrong with that, just a personal preference. If you enjoy Asian sweetness levels this is it for you. Sweet but not too sweet. (4/5) Overall, I'd come again. Pepperoni is where it's at . Nummy Yummy is an excellent dessert option to beat the Valley heat! I ordered ube soft serve in a plain taiyaki. The soft serve was creamy and refreshing but the real star was the taiyaki! Taiyaki was made fresh with a golden brown and crispy exterior and slightly chewy on the inside. Ube cone gets a bit messy so grab a bunch of napkins! Service was super friendly and though very busy, wait time was reasonable. There are two small tables inside with 4 chairs total so expect to either stand or take advantage of the 2 large benches outside ( both of which are in the shade). I'm looking forward to returning and trying the 5 pack taiyaki. They also have a reward program that you can easily enroll in by providing your phone number. read more
Omg you guys, we just had the best ice cream today at Nummy Yummy. Husband got honey & strawberry ice cream with red bean filling, I got ube ice cream with custard filling, and Amy got strawberry ice cream with Nutella filling. All the toppings were at no additional cost! I got Fruity Pebbles, sprinkles, and hot fudge. This was the best ice cream place I've been to in Fresno!!! I'm already looking forward to go back and try the other flavors. I was hoping they still had their Thai Tea flavor, but it wasn't there anymore :( read more
I saw them when I was driving around and been wanting to try their snacks. First impression the venue is very small only 2 tables so it gets crowded quick. Price wise it was $11 for 5 of them. The staff is very friendly and they are trying to keep up with the customer demand so be patient with them. I ended up taking them home and had them with the kids with milk. They enjoyed them and kinda cool food item. Definitely recommend them if you are out and about with the kids or on a date. read more
This is such a cute spot for a yummy sweet treat! I love tayaki and this place did it well - everything was fresh and had great flavor, with easy ordering and lots of fun add ons. I got the ube brown sugar swirl with a custard filled tayaki and condensed ube and the flavors were amazing! My kids got the brown sugar soft serve with oreo and the Thai tea and coffee swirl soft serve with Nutella filled tayaki. We also got the red bean filled tayaki and it was delicious! The service was friendly even though there was only one guy working and it got kinda busy so he had to hustle, but he did a great job! The ambiance was fun and bright and clean although not a ton of seating. I'll enjoy coming back again! read more
So impressed to see that the Fresno/Clovis area has its own taiyaki ice cream and dessert place. I did not know about this location until recently (I was having lunch nearby)- it's definitely the perfect treat after your meal. I've visited many other taiyaki places in CA before and remember the menu concept being very similar to each other. I believe the menu rotates its flavors, but not too sure how often. Very easy to read, you choose your style: taiyaki with cup, taiyaki alone or cup alone. And from there, you pick your ice cream flavor and filling! There is also a second menu with the warm taiyaki dessert alone, with its own selection of filling. The worker was very kind and took my order quickly. It only took a few seconds to get my ice cream but I can imagine a wait when this place gets busy in the summer. There are about three tables inside for you to enjoy your dessert, but I would highly recommend to the business to have some standing tables outside! I would've really loved to enjoy the ice cream as soon as I received it. We ended up walking around the plaza for a bit before some of the ice cream melted. If I could give some advice, eat it quick! I believe the warmth of the taiyaki may have melted my ice cream quicker than I expected. Still very delicious. It's a great location as there isn't much competition for a sweet treat around. Nummy Yummy is one of my favorite spots in town whenever I'm craving a sweet treat! They have a great selection of ice cream flavors every month and I have yet to try one that I haven't liked. Staff is very friendly and let you try samples of any of the ice cream flavors before you order as well. Their taiyaki is wonderfully crispy and pairs very well with the custard filling. They have a few different flavors for taiyaki filling, but my personal favorite is the classic custard. The taiyaki is fresh but never takes too long for you to get your order! read more

i come here when craving a late night sweet treat, and would recommend. i've tried most of their flavors, but some experimental items have been meh for me i really like their oreo and custard, plus all the soft serves are great! i only don't recommend the matcha, because i prefer a strong matcha taste while this one is very mild and milky. the taiyaki dough is always chewy yet crispy, the texture and taste is so good on its own. for their signature flavors i find they can be inconsistent. the pizza is okay, it's a hit or miss. but there was a limited hot cheeto cheddar taiyaki that was kindly, not good. the newest item, dubai chocolate taiyaki, had a good and fair kataifi/pistachio filling. i wasn't a fan- but it was a fun experience and i see why people would enjoy this flavor regardless! read more

Well desert time and this Mom and Pop small business didn't disappoint. Had no idea how to put together our order so the staff took control. Long story short the Ice cream was delicious to include the wonderful waffle type toppings. This is definitely a do over for the wife and I. Now the ambiance can use a little more attention. No restrooms and tables consisting of only (2) with (2) chairs at each table. But hey don't let that stop you remember small businesses keep our communities going. My rating is really off of my sons lol. I didn't feel like eating this but my son and his dad did. The service was alright. Didn't really get any smiles. Didn't know how to order till we seen the menu on the wall lol. Pretty explanatory. They both got cup style and my bf got cheesecake and raspberry flavor. My son got Thai tea flavor. They both got fruity pebble toppings. My son added sprinkles as well. The bf got custard filling and my son got Nutella. They both liked it. I only tasted the cheesecake ice cream and it was alright. Brought my kids here to get some unique ice cream treats and they absolutely loved it! This is Nummy Yummy's new location. It's small on the inside, with only two tables, but there's tons of parking out front. My kids both ordered an ice cream taiyaki; one with hard strawberry ice cream and the other with soft serve vanilla. I clarified these as sweet because they do offer savory options as well. These are more like a taiyakj "pocket" filled with cheese, pepperoni, ham, or bacon. All of the taiyaki waffle cones are made to order and the sweet ones can get the inside lined with custard or Nutella. My kids chose Nutella, obvi, and it was an extra delicious addition to the cone! The three sisters that own and operate Nummy Yummy are the sweetest and I really hope this is the beginning of their taiyaki empire in the Central Valley! read more

This unique ice cream places is all it's stacked up to be! They offer soft serve or ice cream with the signature taiyaki. The taiyaki is crispy but also soft, sweet but not overwhelming, overall delicious. I got the coconut and mango soft serve (yes they let you sample) after the very kind employee recommended it. I had Nutella as my filling and added fruity pebble topping. Very, very, very delicious. There's also a few tables if you want to sit to enjoy and it also seemed like menu flavors rotate periodically. Over all awesome vibe, kind employees and delicious desserts. read more

A hidden gem for sure! I really enjoyed my first experience here Delicious ube soft serve with a Nutella filled taiyaki topped with fruity pebbles. Quite the treat! Service was great Staff members were so sweet, attentive and helpful. Food is prepared when ordered so it's fresh!
