Line was out the door. I prepaid and preordered my cake, I quickly jumped into the prepaid line and was waited on within one minute. Gave full name on order, picking up cake for my mom's 70'th birthday. Her favorite cake is the Napoleon and it is a household favorite!! Service: QUICK and friendly.. Cake beautiful and "as requested" Killing the game for our household every holiday!

We were looking for a bakery to buy some cakes in Fresno area because it was the kiddo's birthday, and Yelp was able to show me this bakery. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bakery is located in a shopping plaza at Shaw and it looks like one of those high-end places in Fresno.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So we found a bakery, which was at that time for people dining inside and outside because they do have brunch menu. luckily we're able to find that there's a separate line for the bakery items and the line, although ling, was quick when it was our turn. We had difficulty choosing which cakes to get but we were able to ask around what are the recommendations we were able to get their top selling cake which is a vanilla cake that has fruit compote in the middle and fruits as decoration. I think it was around $47 for this particular cake. When we got home, it kept well when we had our birthday celebration. We didn't have to put it back in the fridge. By the time we got to eating the cake. It was perfectly thawed and surprisingly delicious. It was moist and full of the fruit compote - they did not skimp on the fruit. It was lovely and highly recommended. When I come back to Fresno, I'd probably try their brunch items. Four stars for their cake.

Le Boulangerie has supplied delicious birthday cakes and pastries to our family for years and remains a local favorite! We recently purchased the Mocha cake and the chocolate ganache and coffee filling elevated the Genoise sponge cake! The buttercream frosting requires about 30 minutes out of the fridge before serving...the wait is worth it!! Well done Le Boulangerie!

it's giving "2010s tuscan" aesthetic. In love!

Omg you have no idea how bad I want to gatekeep this place!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]First off, prime location! Absolutely stunning.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service is amazing. Victoria was my favorite. She had a great personality and was so kind. She took our pastry/drink order and made us feel so comfortable and answered all of our questions/met our needs since it was our first time in. We got a mocha frappe, a white mocha frappe, a fruit basket cake slice, a cookies n cream cake slice and a lemon cheesecake slice and omg everything was incredible!! I did wish the cheesecake had a more thicker consistency but it still had great flavor. I love how the frosting on the fruit basket cake tasted so airy and subtly sweet, it was perfect. The cookies n cream slice was huge, definitely worth it. The white mocha frappe was my favorite out of the two drinks. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is the perfect "2010s tuscan aesthetic" cafe. It felt like I walked into a better time entirely. Don't change A THING about this place, especially the decor. It's absolute perfection.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Please open an exact replica in Modesto or closer to there! I'm from Folsom but bought a home in Modesto. We were visiting Fresno today but I want this to be my go-to cafe! It's like an hour n a half away from us though and that makes me so sad! I wish more cafes looked like this! My husband and I went to Paris for our honeymoon last year and honestly we loved this cafe more than any cafes we went to in Paris, we seriously loved it here. It's probably my favorite cafe ever. It felt so nostalgic for the 2010's and that's something I can't really experience anymore since everything looks so boring and modern now. I loved it here, thank you so much for the blast to the past and tremendous service and sweets! 1000% recommended.

I've always preferred the Nicoise Cake here for a birthday cake over any other cake here in the Central Valley. To add a little personalization, I just add toys and such as cake toppers. Been doing this for years. Staff here are fast and everything is always so good because the bread and pastries are sold out by end of the day. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is filled with the sweet aroma of breads that mixes in with their fresh brewed coffee to attract all these Parisian Breakfast lovers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The sound level is at medium as people stand in line waiting to be called next and the chairs are filled with people enjoying their sandwiches and salads.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

La Bou... an office fave for sure. I wouldn't call it one of MY favorite places but I do enjoy it whenever I do have it. For lunch, I'd get the Tuna, the Chicken Salad, or the Egg Salad sandwiches... Depending what I feel like eating at the moment. I always get it on the Croissant... croissants just make every sandwich better in my opinion. I usually just get a cup of water and never really get chips-- but, with the Egg Salad sandwich I like it with Hot Cheetos. The cookie they give you is a bonus. All three sandwich options are great. If I had to rank them from my preference? It would be: 1) Tuna 2) Egg 3) Chicken. If I'm really hungry, I'll order the whole sandwich. If not-- half order. As for their bakery... very good. I've never actually ordered anything for myself but our office used to get everyone a cake for our birthdays every year and most of the time they came from La Bou! Obviously, the Nicois is delish. The Cappuccino is one of my faves... anything coffee flavored to be honest. Tiramisu, duh. The Pink Champagne one is good but not my fave. I'm sure all their cakes are good. As for the smaller pastries... I've had the tarts, eclairs, the macs, the cream puffs, and the cupcakes. As long as it's one of the key flavors I always look for-- I'm all in. Sometimes people pick correctly when they gift it to me... other times, I'm glad to try something new lol (no pics of any btw). [[HIGHLIGHT]]Limited seats inside and outside, only because they are usually pretty busy/packed. People are in and out and move along quickly though... we've never had trouble getting a small table for us to eat at[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also, all the tables are pretty much shaded so that's a plus.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service is pretty quick. We usually do call ahead though if we're getting lunch for work because of how busy they get... so, you have been warned. Final words: good lunch spot, great bakery.

One of my favorite bakeries to visit while in Fresno. The pastries and bread are always fresh. I highly recommend trying the croissant

Probably my favorite bakery hands down. Anytime I need a cake this is my go-to place. They've made everything for my family from birthday cakes and baptisms, to a cake for my dad's celebration of life. The German chocolate is one of the best. The line can be crazy long especially on Saturday mornings. The mini zucchini loaves are a must try. The peach danishes are another one of my favs. It's hard to go in and choose just one item.

Warm and welcoming atmosphere, classic decor, and amazing pastries. We stopped by here for some morning coffee and pastries for the first time after eyeing the business for a while. First off, the pastries are just pretty. I almost didn't want to eat them because they're just nice to look at. And the textures are what they should be; flaky, soft, and crispy even they're supposed to be. The flavors are sharp, and everything tastes homemade. To top it off, prices are reasonable and the staff were understanding and patient with us as we figured out our order. The only negative was the coffee took a little long to be served, but it was serviceable. We definitely plan to return here for special breakfasts like Christmas, birthdays, and cheat days!

Fruit tart, lemon bar, mini bundt cake and a peach filling pastry (not sure what it's called lol)

What is the most popular cake?

Hi, our Nicois cake is the most popular. If you go to our website, we have descriptions for all the cakes. They are all delicious.…

I don't see prices of the cake anywhere! Not on here and not on their website. How much is a 6 inch mocha cake? What about other sizes of the other cakes?

I just bought their smallest cake and it was $31.

Has anyone tried their King Cake? If so, was it good?

It is probably the best in Fresno.

It has been years, but does anyone know who the company was that made the snickerdoodle coffee beans that La Boulangerie used to sell?

Fabiano's Coffee! They are at the Vineyard Farmers Market every Saturday on the corner of Blackstone and Shaw.…

Is the downtown location open for business?

    No yet.

Does this bakery have vegan options?

    Yes, they do.

Do you carry macaroons every day, if so how much for a dozen?.

Like $18.00 for a dozen I believe. They aren't always available though because they sell fast.

I'm glad this place closed later and it was on my bookmark for a while so I finally got to try this place out! Walking inside you can hear the jazz music they play. It's a cute little deli/bar eatery. Service was good. She was nice and able to answer any questions I had. I went with the good fellas sandwich and I added onions and oil and vinegar on mine for no charge. I think she said the red onions they would've charged but regular onion they didn't. My bf went with the Apollo sandwich. He said no tomatoes and added prosciutto in his. What a pro move cus I should've did that. I love prosciutto! Sitting there waiting for our food to be done, the whole place and the ambiance of it all just gave me NY vibes. Idk why. Probably the jazz music too that played a part in that. Just made me feel like I was in that era of movies with the Italians lol, you know like Goodfellas, A Bronx Tale, Dueces Wild etc... just to name a few! It was nice. We got our sandwiches and headed out. His sandwich was really good. Had more flavor to it and I think it's all from the prosciutto since it's kind of a salty deli meat. My Goodfellas sandwich was really good too. It was more fresher tasting than his. I think due to the arugula and tomatoe and pesto sauce. I really liked both tbh. I wish they had more sandwich options. Ik there's a build your own but I think I would like them to come up with more sandwich combos since I get a little overwhelmed lol. I would definitely be back. I wanna try some of the drinks I seen in the fridges. They looked good too.

Patty and onions were decent. Pot pie was edible, but not great. The whole thing was dry, and the crust is a quickbread crust instead of a pie crust, which made it worse. They try to make up for it by giving you an extra serving of gravy on the side, but if you know your food is dry you should fix it instead of putting a bandaid over it. The Berrock was the absolute worst. I bit into it and it just tasted like salt. I thought maybe it was a fluke so I got into the meat portion of it and took another bite. Pure freaking salt. It's like someone decided salt is the only necessary seasoning for their food. I couldn't even taste the flavor of the meat itself over the taste of salt. I ended up throwing it away after two bites. If the best this shop can do is "it's okay" then I've zero reason to come back.
