Recently, l posted a review of the horrible service my disabled sister got. Numotion responded telling me to email them situation and l did. It took months to finally measure and make the wheelchair. The wheelchair was to be delivered Monday June 15 between 3-5pm. At 4:59pm that day my sister got a text from unknown person there would be no delivery. Nothing was ever heard from Numotion. Nu Motion was good for a few years and then their service has become absolutely horrible.

I called for a repair on my wheelchair as it was shutting off unexpectedly. It was not showing any error codes and I expected a bad joystick. When Ron got here he said no he thought it was motors and that you should never replace just one motor. So two motors and nearly $1000 dollars later, the problem is still not fixed and Ron's out is "that's what the company told him based on codes pulled". No way to prove anything so I'm just out the money plus money to by a joystick to get my wheelchair operable again. Shady company!!! read more

We have been clients of Numotion since 2013. We've Never had any problems or issues with the company. The process to purchase or renew for a power wheelchair can be long especially when dealing with Medicare or Medicaid to pay their share of the cost. These guys are complete clowns. I have appointments cancelled 3 times in a row. Some asshat tech didn't want to travel where I am at in Fremont so she/he called in sick, 3 times in a row. Then when I got the repair, it was done improperly and the wires got broken because they didn't bother to zip tie them down, then I had to pay out of pocket for the repair they had to come back and do. What a scam. This was 3 years ago, but today 7/27/2026, after waiting 6 months for this repair, the tech finally shows up 3 hours late and after beginning to fix the chair, he realizes he doesn't have the right part so cannot complete the repair, so we have to reschedule for when they get the part. Truly Unbelievable. And then, they wanted to know if and when I get a new chair, which is due in 9 months, if I would get it through them. I told them on what planet are they living on. NuMotion is horrible! A few years ago they were supposed to come to my dad's home to fix a joystick cable on my chair. My husband and I both called off work so we could be present and the chair could be fixed as it has to be done on their time and not ours. We waited all day with our van in the driveway able to be seen. NO ONE SHOWED UP, or so we thought! I called NuMotion to get an ETA. They said someone had been there and no one was home. I said that's funny because we've both been sitting in the living room all day waiting. My husband opened the door. They never knocked but left a note on the door saying sorry they missed us. I called back livid and someone came out between 7-8 that night. Present day - same chair, it's now 7 years old. Same cable is bad again. I've had to jump through hoops to get it fixed. Being told my Dr. has to fill out forms saying I'm still disabled and it's a medical necessity for my chair to be fixed. Apparently My cable is in but they're waiting on insurance approval to fix it. Today my chair decided not to turn on due to the damaged cable. After several panicked minutes wiggling the wire I thankfully got it to start, although I don't know for how much longer. This chair is my life, and my ability to work. Without it I don't get paid. Without insurance coverage the cable is over $400. This is deplorable considering most living with disabilities live below the poverty line. Now I don't know if I'll be able to work next week. I'm stressed, and I'm angry. If I were getting a new chair they'd bend over backwards for me. A new chair is where the money is. If you need a repair forget it, you're not even a person worth the time. I'm tempted to take my chair to NuMotion and leave it there until they decide to fix it. DO BETTER NUMOTION! I had an appointment on February 25th to have my four tires on my motorized wheelchair replaced. A person from New motion called and told me they had a sooner appointment on February 15th for one of their texts to come with the new tires. Numotion kept sending me reminders on my two phones about one of their texts coming on that date and I should be out of my wheelchair. I made arrangements for my two daughters to come from a distance to transfer me out of my motorized wheelchair so the tech could work on it and he did not show up or even bother to call me. I could not reach New motion to find out why the tech never showed up. My two daughters had to come back from a distance to transfer me back into my motorized wheelchair.. because I cannot transfer myself. It was a very stressful day for the tech not to come when scheduled and not communicate with me. The most stressful thing was to transfer twice in one day and my daughters having to come so far to transfer me. Now I have to wait for another appointment and this will be the third time it was rescheduled. It gets to be 3 months waiting for a wheelchair repairman from the motion and then they don't show up or even call you on the day of the appointment to tell you they're not coming. I don't understand why disabled people are not even worth the phone call to let us know they are not coming on the day that is scheduled. Slow, No Responsive, RUDE. This is the characteristics that best describe Numotion. When we first got the powered wheel chair for our mother it took forever. The claim was insurance was delaying the purchase. The insurance showed the paperwork was all sent to Numotion. We never got response about this. Now to get a repair they require a Video Call before they will do the repair. The technician literally hung up on us while in the middle of the call. I sent my chair in to get repaired around December of 2025 and didn't get it back until February and I was told when it came back that it was completely fixed even checked it myself all day yesterday!? Well couple days after that I took it out and went a few blocks and going across the driveway of dollar tree my chair stops and a car slammed on her breaks and it came a inch from hitting me!! And I tried a couple times and finally I got it started and it went a few feet and did it again!!?? And I called and they said that it was not the correct joystick and then proceeded to tell me that they will order it. And the guy will be here to put it in well, a few months went by nothing. And waited a little bit and nothing's again. Then, my son called and they told him there was no joystick that was ordered for my chair!!!!! And they finally had a guy come out June 1 and he drove away??!! I have not been in my chair since February????? 100% DISSATISFIED. A REAL LET DOWN. There may be some positive reviews here, but God forbid you ever find yourself in need of a service repair like me. These chairs are our lifelines and NuMotion could care less. My new power wheelchair arrived with a broken USB jack, a broken high gear motor, the joystick mount broke the 2nd week i had it, then the headrest fell off somewhere from here to the bus stop and couldn't be found. Quality control is apparently not the best. My chair is still under warranty I'm told... I called right away to request service, even sent pictures and left a detailed message. Even called Permobile to report it to them. Had to wait 3 weeks for a service call only to have him show up without the parts to repair it. Had to wait 2 weeks for the parts to arrive and another 2 weeks for the next tech appointment. I waited all day only to find out the tech had called in sick and nobody bothered to call to let me know. 2.5 more weeks for the next appointment only to have him replace a motor and nothing else. Then he leaves with my chair stuck in LOW gear. 2 more weeks go by until today's service call...I waited ALL day again. Had to run to 7-11 and was gone for 15 MINUTES. I even called NuMotion to let them know and to find out their eta. The tech shows up while I'm gone, leaves without waiting, and now NuMotion says 2 MORE WEEKS to book another appointment!! ENOUGH!! I called and asked to speak to a manager (nobody available) and had to leave a message. I'm still waiting for a return call (its now 5 pm). I doubt I'll hear back from them any time soon. DONT BUY FROM NUMOTION IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE. If the hospital you are coming from is contracted with NuMotion that doesn't mean you have to source your chair through them. My custom wheelchair was too narrow. the front wheels hit my feet when they turned either direction. The second attempt has almost NO backrest and the handles were so low I would need to hire an oompa loopma to push it. Finally, I was terminated as a client because I wanted to work with a different ATP and my email was ignored. My chair should have been ready in April, in is now mid-January and I have to start the process all over with another company. No one from Numotion cares about the patient's needs or their safety. My son's current power chair is in a bad safety condition, due to the fact that the seat belt does not work. My son's Dr. wrote a prescription for a new power wheel chair with extra features for his comfort. The wheel chair clinic was done at the beginning of September, my son is still waiting for his power chair. I received the approval letter from the insurance company back in October and, I immediately contacted NuMotion to check the status for the order, a rude woman named Dequsha Smith keeps saying the were still waiting for insurance approval, finally in November I received a call form the insurance company stating that Numotion anticipates the delivery of the power wheel chair by the end of December, as of today, I have not heard from Numotion in regards to the delivery status or perhaps to discuss any discount amount that the insurance has not covered. This company expected for the patient or the family member to do their job. The lack of communication from John McCarble the ATP and from Jennifer Hayes is horrible. It takes for ever for the receptionist to answered their phones and they don't help at all. This company is just hungry for money. Now, they want me to pay out of my pocket over $10K, otherwise NuMotion is going to deliver whatever they feel like it, ignoring the doctor's prescription. The changed on the Dr's prescription has not been discussed with me at all. They truly don't know what the meaning of physically disabled that they would make customer wait for equipment a patient depend on daily basis, wheel chairs are their legs and moving source. Two months ago a technician came home and told us the urgent need of my husband's wheel chair repairs, The brakes do not function and the front caster collapses all the time almost sending us to the hospital several times. My husband has had 4 brain surgeries. nothing has been done to expedite these repairs. The parts have not been ordered yet and we know that once ordered they take at least 6 months to arrive. NuMotion delivered my new electric wheelchair 7/8/24 and left without explaining all the details of how it works. They also failed at fitting the wheelchair to me (sort of like ill fitting clothes). The wheelchair is actually too small for me and very uncomfortable. I had been given a personal cell phone number by one of the employees and she promised to always call me back. She didn't answer and she didn't call me back. I'm 72 years old a double amputee and I live alone. I am also 6'5" and the wheelchair is too small for me. I spend 16 - 18 a day sitting in my wheelchair. Don't do business with NuMotion if you have another choice because you don't get service after the sale. I have had my wheelchair less than 48 hours and I will ask NuMotion to take the wheelchair back and get me a new comfortable wheelchair. read more

Called to have a tire repair from my manual chair , I am a paraplegic so my chair are my legs . Told me they would need to maybe order the part and it may take a while , advised me to go to a bicycle shop . I got better service at the bicycle shop , I had to pay out of pocket when I have insurance that would cover the repair at Numotion. They truly don't know what the meaning of physically disabled that they would make customer wait for equipment they depend on daily . I wish there were more competitors in my area. I had Numotion come to my house to exchange the batteries in my Strato The batteries got to where I had to charge them twice a I did that for about six months. Everything worked fine except I had to keep charging the batteries. Numotion came two days ago and changed the batteries the chair broke down immediately now it doesn't work at all since they changed the batteries. I am without a chair now and they don't care. They said it was probably gonna break anyway, and that he didn't do nothing and I'm on my own for the repairs. Be careful of this company. Don't even think about doing anything with them. This company used to be decent. However, the runaround, the misinformation, the amount of phone calls before they even take a look at the chair is a joke. I have been waiting three weeks and now they still haven't even scheduled a tech to come out. They also keep saying well you can come into our Taunton office and it will be quicker. Taunton is not the easiest place for me to get to. If they call me one more time and ask me to verify who I am one more time I think I will lose my ish. My only interaction with Numotion is accidentally buying used PCs that they sold off to a reseller. All the PCs were locked by CrowdStrike and they never bothered to remove the computers from inventory, so each one of them would lock and be rendered useless at some point. This is followed by a long process of requesting removal and waiting for several days to a week for the computers to be unlocked. This whole process is not just sloppy, it shows a overall level of competence or rather lack thereof. These are desktops running windows, so anyone with an IQ at or below 7 should be able to manage them with ease. This perfectly explains all the other reviews covering products they sell. I am in Columbus Oh. I can't add anything that someone else hasn't already touched on about bad service but here goes. My power wheelchair broke a simple bolt over four months ago. I called numotion and was told they would be out about four months in the future. The future date finally came and they came out and looked at it. I was told they had to order parts another long wait. The next future date finally came and the tech came out and told me they would have to take it in to their shop they couldn't repair it at my residence. Two hours after they picked it up they called and said they had to order a new part after just saying they had the parts and now there is no future date to be repaired. I was a mechanic for 40 plus years and all the chair need was a simple bolt that cost about a buck at any hardware store. Being on Medicaid/ Medicare we don't have any choice who we deal with. They are making a lot of money from insurance for the poor and disabled and simply do not care. I also believe they are defrauding the insurance which for some reason does not care. A simple dollar bolt has turned around into thousands and still no chair. It's sad. read more
