Is this some sort of poison ivy?" The pharmacist told me no, and within a week I was covered head to toe in a poison ivy rash, getting a steroid shot at the Doctors office. I'm prescribed a topical steroid cream that takes 3 days to show up at this pharmacy. I am unable to sleep, and am driven to the edge of my sanity trying not to scratch at the full body rash. I vow never to go here again. Fast forward to New Years Eve. Everywhere is closed, and my mother heads to an urgent care for her persistent cough that is spreading chestward. This Walgreens pharmacy is the only place open, so the Doctor sends the prescription information to them. They make my mother wait, again, for her medicine, for DAYS. This is despite being a 24/7 pharmacy, and completely empty because of the holidays. In short, this is by far the worst pharmacy I have ever had the displeasure of doing business with. I wonder sometimes how many people have died as a result of being unable to get their medications on time and with proper and accurate medical advice. Even if they are the only place open, I recommend you to travel to an entirely different town to get help. Do not put your health in these peoples' hands, especially if your condition is critical. They might literally kill you from ineptitude or negligence.

The shelves are always well stocked and the store is always neat and clean. There is always a smile and greeting upon entering the store. I have had some trouble with the weekly ads not being clear enough about some of the sales. I plan on continuing to shop here.

Disparate from other Walgreens that I am familiar with in major tourist centers, this location is underwhelming for alcohol and souvenirs. With regards to this review, I am using "The Daniel. S Yelp Real Time Feature" where I write from my first-hand journaling experience. "June 24, 2025: We are bound for Walgreens. Walking through the Assembly Food Hall we cut off some of the uphill climb up John Lewis Way that is bothering Dad's knees. Now walking up John Lewis Way we are passing by the historic Woolworth Theater and what looks like a Theater District. At the crest of the hill, we step inside the only downtown Nashville Walgreens. At least the only one I am familiar with near Broadway. This store is "blah" in comparison to the Walgreens that I am familiar with in major cities such as Las Vegas, Chicago, San Francisco,and Denver. Their Nashville caps are overpriced and fail to strike me. They fail to carry the bullet beer (24 ounce cans) that I want to pick up for the hotel room. However, they have cold beverages and snacks that my Dad and Brother are buying. I am headed to Starbucks for my beverage. Toi, who rings up my Dad and Brother, is a friendly and personable Cashier. When we return to the what looks like a Theater District along John Lewis Way, being empty handed of purchases allows me to photograph the Woolworth Theater." I'm serious about the friendly service. I've been going to this drug store once a month for almost two years because I like taking magic pills that keep me from spawning little Valories. After just two months they not only knew me by name, but what prescription I was picking up every time. I never have to tell them. I never call in my prescription. I just walk in and they know. If only every aspect of life could be like this. I am really terrible at small talk. I'm just so bad at it. I never know what to say, I'm kind of shy (I think I just heard everyone that knows me well laugh collectively), I sometimes say awkward things. The employees here love to make conversation and even know about the lives of some of the other patrons. I chalk this up that everyone in this town knows each other and I'm a new comer. I think they've taken pity on me so they don't really try to small talk me anymore, which I appreciate. They greet me pleasantly and I greet them, they get my prescription, we pleasantly say bye. End of perfect transaction. You never really have to wait that long, but just in case you do you can sit and watch the television or look at the many goods in the store. It's like a tiny department store with clothes, purses, cookware, jewelry, etc. Seriously, stop giving money to the chain pharmacies where the pharmacists have superiority complexes and bad attitudes and sadistically make you wait hours to a day for your medication.
