This is the best dentist office I've ever been to. They are so kind and so thorough and they care so much about their patients. I had a terrible bad experience last year with another dentist. And I was so nervous that I didn't even know if I was going to get through it. Actually didn't get through the first appointment because I was too stressed out and my blood pressure was too high. Which they took which I find that is awesome. So the second time around they were amazing absolutely amazing. I don't speak Spanish and they do mainly in that office and it doesn't intimidate me in one bit. The whole entire office is made up of people that are truly a caring people. The office staff was great with helping me navigate my benefits (changed from an HMO to a PPO) how to maximize them for the current year and the following year - which my previous office didn't. Before I left after my first appointment, Nuova provided me with a treatment plan and costs associated which made it easy to decide and plan for the costs. I havent had issues scheduling appointments as needed . Dr. Padron is very detailed and takes time with each of his patients - this is why other reviewers will say their appointment ran late. I have definitely waited a bit before being seen but the office staff does try and check in with the back staff (through a walkie talkie). The first time I met Dr. Padron he mentioned this and apologized for the longer wait but its worth it for getting a job done right. read more

DO NOT COME HERE. Last time I came 10minutes early. Waited for over 30minutes with nobody else in lobby. Watched a patient arrive after me and be seen immediately. Was told it was an emergency, ok fine. Was late back to work. Missed nearly 4 hours of my shift for nothing. Now fast forward to today. I came after work this time 5pm to avoid missing crucial time at work when I could be making money. I confirmed my appointment once over the phone and 2 times via text (annoying that it kept asking me to confirm). I arrived at 4:52pm and the lobby was full of people. There was about 6-8 ppl waiting. Waited 30minutes exactly and still wasn't seen. Neither was anyone that was waiting before me. I imagine if I tried to stay they'd tell me to reschedule or I'd be seen at like 6pm. This isn't right at all and should be illegal. Do better with scheduling patients it's literally not hard at all. They also have a sign that says $50 fee for canceling or rescheduling without 48hr notice. So it's almost like it's intentional so they can charge people who don't want to wait. This is an absolute joke and the employees should find new jobs if they can't structure appointments correctly to avoid wasting people's time. Insane. read more

Front desk is nice but very unorganized. My son was actually scheduled to be seen at 5pm, but they changed it to 4pm. No problem. We were first to check in at 3:50pm. No paper work, nothing was given to us to sign. 4 patients came in after and were all given papers to sign. At 4:10pm, I asked the front desk if I was supposed to sign any papers too. I've never done a yelp review before but I had to after the care I received from Nuova Dental. Great bedside manner and excellent patient care. I have extremely long roots and it wound up taking long over closing hours to finish my dental work. I felt like they took their time with great quality as if it was one of there own family members that was sitting in that chair to make sure it was done properly. I just called to schedule an appointment (over a month out) and was told they're currently only offering appointments to adults at 10am and 3pm. Yes, you read that correctly, those are the ONLY TWO appointment times they're offering during the weekday. Never mind if you have other commitments at those times- they don't care! I asked about their Saturday hours and they said they don't offer appointments on Saturdays. I am so afraid of dentists but when I came to Nuova dental down from Florin Road and Greenhaven across from the shopping center with Marshall's and Nugget I felt so at ease. I am not a fan of going to the dentist. But the staff is so sweet and they really make you comfortable. There is Jasmine who is always smiling at the front desk. Yesi and Veronica who assist the dentist and is so sweet and makes you so comfortable. They even have tv in the rooms while waiting. Dr. Pinto is so friendly and always makes you laugh. This dental office is awesome! First, very friendly, knowledgeable and bilingual staff. Very professional and exhibit wonderful social skills that make you feel welcome. Second, the perks. They put on an age-appropriate movie in your chair while you wait. Yes, there is a little bit of a wait time while they prep your chart and take your blood pressure etc but so worth it to be seen by Dr. Padron! They keep the office very cold but they offer a warm throw blanket for your legs if you're wearing shorts. Nice posters on the ceiling to take your mind off the dental work. Third, The rooms/chairs are clean, new, fresh and nice little touches like water fountains on the countertops. I hate going to the dentist but I actually look forward to coming back to this dentist! I greatly appreciate the service I received from my dentist and the receptionist and dental assistances! The dentist, whom I think was Dr. Lorenzo Padron, was very kind to me, and told me in detail, and in ways I can understand, what he observed on my teeth and what I needed to do afterwards. He took his time and did a great job--he didn't rush. I greatly appreciate that. The dentist's assistant was nice as well. She put a thing in my mouth to scan my teeth (x-ray them). However the thing she was using was too painful to try to bite down when she used it to try to scan my back teeth. I do wish a flatter tooth scanner could be used, so that I can bite down easily and she can successfully scan my back teeth. Other than that, she was able to observe the rest of my teeth. WORST dental office experience. warrants NEGATIVE STARS. 1. Was told by office to show up at 1:30pm for TEETH CLEANING appointment and when I get there at 1:30pm they said they were going to lunch for 30 minutes. 2. Brought back to the dental chair at 2:05pm and I was the only patient in the office. They proceeded to do dental x-rays on me until...2:53pm. (why they do not know how to use their machine and properly fit the equipment and why it takes more than 45 minutes to do x-rays? who knows?) 3. The dentist was doing oral exam with his hands in my mouth and slobbered his hands all over the light fixture, cords, and all over my face and neck and then put his hands back in my mouth. Staph infection waiting to happen! Completely NON-sterile technique! 4. After the oral exam, the dentist tells the technician to book me an appointment to RETURN for teeth cleaning. Wait a minute, this IS my appointment for teeth cleaning and he finally obliged but then said he had another patient so I'd have to wait. I asked him THREE times how long he intends to take before returning to my chair. He finally said THIRTY MINUTES. I had shown up at least an hour before his other patient so why do I have to wait another THIRTY MINUTES? 5. When he finally returned, he did the cleaning but it was the ROUGHEST and MOST UNCOMFORTABLE teeth cleaning I have had in my life. He pressed the tubes and steel equipment with so much force against my face it hurt. At one point he sprayed water all over my face and DID NOT APOLOGIZE. 6. I finally left the office at 5:02pm. Have you ever had a simple teeth cleaning appointment that lasted 3.5 HOURS??? 7. Needless to say this office is the epitome of POOR PRACTICE and should not be allowed to be a part of healthcare. If you want good service, well-trained staff, and trustworthy medical professionals, GO ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE. read more

Dr. Lorenzo Padron and his team are wonderful. I was very pleased with all that my family had done during our visit. I was so impressed with the organization of the team. They worked on my family all at once; they were proficient, clean, kind, and kept a friendly banter. My daughter (21 months) had her first visual cleaning and it went very well! The wonderfully friendly and helpful office staff played with her and brought out several little toys. During my visit I also met the owner. She was just as kind and friendly! After numerous phone calls to try to set up an appointment, I finally got through. My first appt. was for the consult, exam, x-rays and cleaning. I got the x-rays but I barely got the consult and exam. They had to reschedule me to come in for the cleaning. When I went in for the cleaning appt., I had to wait for an hour after my appt. time by the time someone told me the doctor was running behind due to an emergency. It would have been nice to be told so upon arrival. So I reschedule. They called me a few days before my appt. to cancel for (another) emergency. That was almost 2 months ago. I have been trying to re-reschedule that appt. since, with no luck! The office is supposed to be open until 8pm (according to their website), so why isn't anyone answering phones, let alone return phone calls?? If I could I would give them negative stars!! If I could leave a zero star review I would give this place no stars. When I first found Nuova Dental Office for my mother I was very excited because of all the great reviews I saw. My mom started going to this office and we really loved Dr. Pedron and his staff. However, my mom does not speak English so I had to communicate with them over the phone or have my sister in law take my mom and translate for her. My mom needed to get crowns done which took almost 3 weeks for her permanent crowns to come in. This authorization I had to get approval for. In the first place they were charging my mom $600 per tooth because Betsy put the wrong auth in. I had to call her insurance and fix the authorization and get it approved. When my mom went in to get her Permanent crown placed Betsy the receptionist gave her a letter and wouldn't explain to my mom what was going on. She lied and stated that my mom has a follow up apt in June. When my mom asked for a sooner appointment she stated no never mind just give the letter to your daughter. My mom was suppose to go back and get her partial dentures which Betsy had already gotten authorization for. Actually. I got the authorization myself because Betsy was too lazy to do her work. I was willing to do HER WORK and called my mothers insurance and got everything approved. My mom was devastated when I translated the letter to her stating Dr. Pedron could not care for her anymore. However karma is a B. And Betsy and Dr pedron will get their share. Moving on to finding a better office for my mother. read more

I'm not giving 5 stars because there was a long wait time to be seen from my appointment time. From going to appointments with my mother in law I saw how the office worked and some of the staff members were very rude and did not do their job especially Betsy! She says she is doing her work but I really don't know what she is actually doing. Honestly Veronica was so Great she would help translate and have a nice smile and knew how to treat her customers with respect and love and that is what I want to see!! I had to translate for my mother in law and they just left her in the middle of her work with a letter from Betsy sending it to her daughter to read. That is very unprofessional one day I don't go with her and this is what we get, a discharge letter stating no facts at all. I am giving one star for Nuova Dental for their unprofessionalism and a 5 Star for the wonderful Veronica she knows what she is doing and does her work in such a great way that when I would go with my mother in law she already knew what to do without me translating she was such a patient lady and helped us with her treatments. read more

After been seen couple of weeks ago in this dental office, and my personal experience was great! everything was clean and well organized and the staff and the dentists there are very warm and welcoming! I love that,!! especially when i go to a new place and dont know what to expect. Dr Pinto was very professional when did my first dental check up, not rushing me up, as many other dentists i had in the past. I love that they dedicate your appointment time to you exclusively making sure everything is done right and well. I went back for my next appointment, and they had many patients there. My advice is just make sure to make your appointment ahead of time because the office is very busy, and full, which i consider this is a good thing due to the fact that the dentists and the rest of the staff are awesome!!....
