Expired food in refrigerator section. Very expensive. Garden plants not extensive with little selection.

Love this place! A great market that sources locally when seasonally appropriate. Extremely nice workers and quality produce.

The breakfast that they prepare is at a great price point which is hard to find the further east you get on Long Island.

I love this place! This is a good place for everyone, from learning how to grow a starter herb garden to a full service landscape resource. I make sure to go throughout the seasons as they change stock according to our local needs. Make sure to check out the outdoor pots and indoor house plant options too! Thanks for always making a fun visit Donald!

Friendly staff, central location and a great new selection of native plants--lots of choices now!…read moreIt used to be hard to find native plants for sale on the East End (plants like the ones you see happily growing in nature preserves or along hiking trails in the woods). You'd have to order online or search every display table at our local retail outlets, and then check to be sure those are really Long Island locals, attractive to birds, nourishing for pollinators and hardy enough to grow in our mostly sandy or loamy soil. Native plants don't need fertilizers or even much water after they've settled into the right place, so you're not wasting money or resources. Wittendales has clearly labelled "LI Local" pots with blue and yellow stickers (think Swedish flag colors), along with posters, signs, and a binder with plant care tips. If you need help coordinating plants that play well together , I'm told their displays of color coordinated "companion plantings " will change as the growing season progresses. Also, they have reasonable prices!
