I enjoyed the spacious, airy and bright room with many windows and great ambiance. It's also next to a cute coffee shop. It is all levels yoga, which works for beginners but one can level up as desired. All instructors were great. I especially loved Jordan's classes. She is very personable, greets you when you come in the door, remembers your name, is calming and instantly makes you feel relaxed. She is very helpful with poses and offers a head massage with essential oils during savasana. Thank you so much! I have also attended every type of special event or workshop held at Bear Foot Yoga Healing, including crystal bowl sound meditation, goat yoga, live music, and chakra restorative meditation. In addition, I've partaken of both Megan's Ayurvedic marma touch therapy and her energy healing treatment. I've gone to every style of yoga class offered; Megan is the absolute BEST teacher. The only service I've not yet used is her healing touch for animals, but if the need arises with any of my pets, I'm there for sure. I took the yoga/pilates fusion class. It was perfect for a beginner to Pilates. The class was easy to follow and I got a great workout in! The online booking tool did not work for me. I attempted to call to book via phone but did not receive a call back. So I just showed up and had no problem!

Right in Woodstock Square and down the street from the train station…read more Perfect location, but it is easy to miss since it's located on the second floor (scan the second floor windows and you'll figure out exactly where it is). Today I decided to pop in for a live class and did a little perusing online. Classes are typically $18, but first timers can get a $5 class if you select that option. The class I attended was an all-level Vinyasa taught by Jon and would've been worth the $18 so it's without a doubt worth $5. The space has a clean clutter feel to it. There's little decorations and salt lamps and it smells like incense. The skylight and the huge window let in so much light that it feels like you're practicing outside. The open window adds to that feel when you feel a light and welcome breeze. Size is the only setback... it's a somewhat narrow studio which makes a class feel pretty tight with about 10-12 people. This is possibly more personal preference because I love being in larger classes because I'm able to lose myself (or focus... I'm not sure which) a little more fully and this space is more ideal for small classes so you have room to spread out. Overall though, I will be back and I'll adjust to the smaller size... I may even come to love it. There are many different instructors and classes though out the week so experiencing different flows and styles is possible here. And the proximity to so many food options makes it the perfect spot to start my day before breakfast.

I tried tapes and classes at various clubs and park districts. I never stuck to any plan until I tried Destination Fitness and Jill's team. Jill was so caring and listened to my story. She helped put together a plan and introduced me to her trainer Marty and her Registered Dietitian Melissa. For the first time everything clicked! They did not make me feel like I had to drop and give them 20 push ups. They created fun exercises for me to follow that I actually enjoyed! Melissa the RD was amazing. She listened to me as well and helped me create a menu plan that I could follow on my busy schedule.
