My mother rode with senior citizens transport so she would not be able to stay at that time the dr also came in heard the conversation and just grabbed chart and walked away. It's sad that a Medical professional has so little compassion for the elderly patients that come to see him. This is probably the main reason he is not even an actual MD and only a DO! Terrible experience overall. This place feels completely money hungry, and the customer service was…read moreawful. At first they make you feel like a priority, but that quickly changes. After that, everything feels centered around money. You can't talk to anyone without paying for a visit, and you can't even get a refill without scheduling and paying for another appointment. I called about a bill I received because it seemed odd since I always paid at the time of service. Their office staff looked into it, confirmed I had already paid, admitted I was overcharged, and said they would remove the bill and issue a credit. Instead, they continued sending bills anyway. When I called back, the manager said they "couldn't waive" the charges -- specifically two separate $19.03 fees for teaching me, a 36-year-old adult, how to use an inhaler because I was prescribed two different inhalers. I honestly asked if this was a joke. At one point, the man on the phone claimed he remembered my visit from September. When I challenged him on that, he changed his story and said he was just reading the notes in the chart. So which is it -- memory or reading from the file? It felt like they only cared about billing my insurance for as much as possible and making me pay more. Between office visits, repeated testing, inhalers, take-home machines, and extra charges, everything added up quickly even after already paying during appointments. Bill my insurance -- that's what I have insurance for -- but don't nickel and dime patients on top of it when I tell you I have a limited budget. They also sent me through a ton of testing with very vague answers. Suddenly I'm told that at 36 years old I've "developed asthma," "developed allergies" I never had before, and that I lose oxygen in my sleep. Yet instead of moving toward real solutions like a sleep study or CPAP evaluation, it just felt like more visits, more testing, and more charges in house. Meanwhile every appointment was still, "your lungs are great" and "your test results are great." None of it truly explained what was causing my symptoms or why these issues suddenly appeared. The solution always seemed to be another inhaler, another office visit, more in-office or take-home testing, or an oxygen concentrator that required additional monthly out-of-pocket payments that would eventually cost more than simply buying a machine outright. The amounts billed to my insurance were already high, and then I was still expected to pay all these extra fees on top of it. Charging patients extra just to explain how to use an inhaler is ridiculous. Very frustrating experience overall, and I would not recommend this office. Stay away -- there are much better options out there. I wish I had read the reviews beforehand.

This isn't to say it's what you want to hear, but that you should hear. But even with having to be a little tough at times with patients like me that is afraid of getting blood drawn, she still makes me glad she is my doctor. Because she will make sure that both her and her wonderful staff will not let me forget what lab tests I need done. I saw a different GP in Southlake before coming to see Dr Sharif and it's because of this other doctor that I know I'm lucky that Dr Sharif is on my side. The other doctor didn't care at all what happened to me during one of the most stressful times in my life. The other doctor didn't want the complicated patients. But Dr Sharif doesn't seem to shy away from patients that may be hurting both physically and mentally. Anyway, Dr Sharif is by far the best GP/Internist I've found in the area.
