Wednesday evening, my bride and I got home from work only to find a tree on our house. Never having…read morehad the need to make a homeowner's claim before, I called our agent Robert Young for help. It was after hours, but he returned our call within five minutes. His first concern was that me and my family were safe and had shelter. He then immediately started working on my claim and advising me on the steps I needed to take. Long story short, within 72 hours, the tree was removed (same night), we have an approved estimate to repair the damage, and Safeco has already sent a check to cover the cost of the tree removal. Mr. Young and the entire staff at Tradewinds have taken all the stress out of what in normal circumstances would have been an incredibly stressful situation. The teller seemed to have pressed a wrong keystroke when she issued the check and charged me again for the cashier's check. I am 20 miles away, do not feel it is worth my time to drive back there to dispute the $5.00 charge. So fair warning, plan to have the check charge withdrawn from your account and don't pay cash to process a shared branch cashier's check from Alaska USA Credit union.

A great setup since the nearest BECU is almost 50 miles away. I've always received great service here. Whether I'm cashing a check or what-have-you ... no complaints. Clean space, nice people, the ATM always works. What else do I need in a bank?
