Love this coffee shop. It has a large seating area but also a ton of seating outside. Coffee is good, typical coffee drinks with seasonal specials. Services is quick as long as they don't get a rush of people. A bit of a walk since it's located inside of one of the main buildings for the community. My husband and I and a few friends are in town visiting my parents who live here. We came into NW Coffee this morning and were immediately met with a friendly face, Natalie the manager, who was working and taking out coffee orders. She made an excellent recommendation that was not on the menu.. coconut honey iced latte with pineapple cold foam. WOW it was so delicious! I had a BLT on gluten free bread which was excellent. I haven't had any coffee, tea, or sandwiches here but you can't beat the deal for soft serve ice cream. $1.50 for a nice size cup of a swirl of vanilla and chocolate ice cream. Service is great and the atmosphere is nice and quiet. When I move into the neighborhood I will try a sandwich or maybe one of their muffins. read more

The cafe was a nice experience. It was reasonably priced. The cafe is near the golf course and just outside there is a fountain area. Nice atmosphere outside to get some work done. I will say the cafe didn't have very many areas to plug in a laptop though if you're looking for a place to work. read more

A social group of 24 people gathered for an afternoon meet-up for some fun and conversation for an ice cream social. The Cafe Manager was very accommodating to our scheduled activity to ensure that there was adequate product, and they scheduled extra staff that greeted us with friendly service. I've only been here once and don't see a reason to go back. I would go if I was in the community and someone suggested we grab a drink or meet there, but not otherwise. Drinks are overpriced, which isn't different from other coffee locations. Dead insects on the floor and dirty tables is what really turned me off. read more

This is our go-to spot on Sunday morning and at least one other morning during the week. Never disappointed! The "Natalie's" keep this cafe running smoothly, and Bella is great in the kitchen! My husband and I had brunch here once in October 2024. I had a frozen-then-microwaved English muffin with egg, turkey sausage, and American cheese. I was able to add fresh avocado. I also had coffee. There is some interior seating. The restaurant opens up onto a lovely shaded patio with big trees. The outdoor ambiance is part of The Grand's community center, and does not belong to the coffee shop itself. I rate the ambiance a 4 I rate the coffee shop itself a 3. I don't like restaurant food that is frozen and then heated in the microwave. It tasted decent though. It is hard to locate this coffee shop because of its multiple names. The parking lot has a sign that says Chaparral Grand Cafe. The sign above the counter says NW Coffee-Grand Cafe. I think it was previously called the Grand Cafe. read more

I ordered a sandwich in a combo. When I asked for brewed unsweetened tea, I was told that is not included in the combo. Only fountain drinks. I am an iced tea drinker, and I have never seen in any restaurant an upcharge for iced tea. Ice cream is a deal but I'm done with them for other food options. Boil some water, add some tea bags and voila, tea. It could not be any cheaper to make. read more

The menu says there are three flavor options for iced tea - black, rotating and Arnie Palmers so why have the recently stopped selling black tea? ATTHE NW In the center of the immense and uber-active retirement paradise of The Grand is the NW Grand Cafe, an experience not to be missed With luck you will be served by the extraordinary baristas Jillian and Ella. They are pleasant and full of youthful but conscientious exuberance. They work seamlessly to provide a great experience to this challenged population. For the most part they can't hear, can't read the menu or see the text on their phones. God forbid they have to navigate Apple Pay! My first experience involved a test of epic proportions. To get a $10 credit you have to sign up by downloading the Apple iPod app ( if you are a cool person) or the Android app (whatever THAT is). Fortunately the invite is in HUGE letters like billboard size! This is to make you believe you can follow the instructions to get your $10 bonus Depicted here is how it looks After downloading the app and successfully opening it (no small feat!), you are expected to navigate a 2 or 3 pint-size font which requires you to bring the phone to your nose like Mr Magoo. In my case my thumbs butchered virtually all of the entries, often substituting wrong entries like "Maricopa" for "country" or just weird thumbing like "Fjyrt" for Street". Being old sighted and without glasses I could no more see the mistakes as correct them. Fortunately the Jillian/Ella team coaxed me through the near traumatic endeavor all the while preparing our order even though we could not pay for it until the $10 bonus was confirmed by the ephemeral and elusive accomplishment of a successful sign-in under the NW app. As I blundered through the app sign in I repeatedly handed over the phone to one of the patient barristers who calmly helped me with such challenging entries as "name". They politely expressed a willingness to help after seeing me repeatedly punch the phone on the NEXT button in the hope that extra pressure would somehow alter the obvious condition that I had done something incomplete or wrong. The correction was plain to see if you have eyes like a Hawk and know where to look. Instead I sheepishly handed the phone over to Jillian/Ella who sympathetically and without a splash of condescension explained "the passwords don't match". Once the TEAM completed the registration Ella had already whisked out the order. Amazingly, after handing over my phone like a kid in school for the upteenth time it was determined my $10 credit would cover all my order with a $1 left We then negotiated how to spend the final dollar and like a good American I figured out how to spend OVER the sum gifted to me, confirming once and for all that we Americans have a negative marginal propensity to save After negotiating for a chocolate dipped soft serve ice cream cone (never a cup) for $1.65 the youthful team finally looked a little exasperated and announced that magically the "app" had determined that the excess charge was "covered" and I could simply move on grasping my newly dipped soft serve cone, leaving room for actual paying customers who could, based on experience necessary to overcome failing eyesight, order their desired treat and successfully pay for it with their magic Apple Pay, likely with discounts or bonus points for their continued dedication to the great team at the beloved NW. I love their other location I love their location in Vistancia so when I was nearby and saw they had opened one I decided to stop by and check it out. Here's the takeaway. Easy to find, parking not a problem. The location was clean and pretty large. Service was wonderful and everything we ordered came out great for the most part. I did love the iced vanilla lavender latte. It was perfectly sweet while also allowing the coffee flavor to come through. The whole chocolate mocha blended was good as well. Unfortunately my Italian sweet cream cold brew was a bust for me. Tasted watery and sweet cream didn't really come through for me. I'm on the fence between three and four stars mainly because the vibe was very off for me. It is in a retirement community and the people sitting inside just gave off a vibe they did not want us there. It is open to the public so didn't think it would be too big of a deal. No one was rude or anything just the feeling we had with the looks etc. They serve alcohol and some food. There's an outside patio as well. Again, the coffee (minus my cold brew), shop itself and service were great. I'll stick to their other location. read more
