This is pretty big location and for me it was the first time I've tried this brand. There seemed to be an amount of tables with inside and out, and it was such a beautiful morning. The big garage door was open. It seemed fairly busy. I would say it took about six or seven minutes to get my coffee and my yummy pop tart type of pastry. I did just a regular drip coffee. It was quite smooth and tasty. I would definitely recommend. The toaster pastry was a blackberry raspberry combo and of course I got it warmed up and it was absolutely delicious. I visit Phoenix area frequently and I've seen these popped up all over. I'm so glad I was able to stop. Try it. Enjoy it and I'll definitely stop again the next time I'm in town. read more

Wanted to check out Black Rock Coffee since I'd never been before. Walked in and there were probably 10 people sitting inside, but I was the only person waiting to order. After standing at the counter for about 10 minutes while three employees continued making drinks (for who, I'm not sure), I eventually gave up and walked out. When I find a favorite beverage especially coffee I stick with it. This morning I started with an early appointment so decided to use the app to order ahead. Large, hot Mexican Mocha for the win. I walked in a minute before the schedule pickup time and it was already on the counter. Hmm. I may plan to walk in for future orders we shall see but the convenience was nice. Good coffee at this location, rude employee (not all employees) Waited 30 mins for an order I did in advance on the app to eventually get it and it was incorrect. I got attitude about asking it to be fixed and sure I didnt ask with a smile on my face because I had already been waiting 30 mins while other people came and left but I wasnt rude. The kid working there was . When I asked if they knew why it took so long for a pre order (still not rude) after they fixed my drink they looked around like it was obvious and said "were really busy" when I explained ppl have come, placed new orders, got there items and left so I dont think thats it he replied " well i guess we just lost it for a bit " rudely as he walked away ending the conversation. I wasnt looking for anything free merely an explanation and maybe an apology because delays happen I understand. 3.5 stars Stopped by on my way home and what I got didn't disappoint! I ordered the Irish Cream Coffee and the coffee is light, which means I'd be able to tolerate it without jitters. It is pretty sweet and creamy though. My mom called this drink perfect for fake coffee drinkers...which means I really liked it :D. 4/5 stars. I got the drip coffee for my mom and she said it didn't taste as strong and bitter as she preferred it to be, but gave it a 3/5 stars. Personally, I thought it tasted like watered down roasted bittermelon juice, but that's just me being the occasional fake coffee-drinker, so please ignore me. The shop was very neat and clean. There are plenty of tables and seats. Music is loud though, so I don't think it would be the best place to work from. Service was friendly and the baristas there looked happy. Coffee is like duct tape. It fixes everything. What's not to love at Black Rock? This Black Rock is pretty much like all the rest. You can get yourself a nice cuppa joe but on this trip, I got a Mangonada Spritz. It was a warm 111° and we had just done some shopping at Costco nearby. The staff is friendly and they have a convenient drive-thru. Two thumbs up! If I lived in this area, I would always be grabbing drinks here. read more

Customer service is always good! I wish they were in more locations. I know slowly but surely. One of my favorite coffee shops. I love the iced blue lagoon or the salted pretzel Carmel mocha hot. This location falls in line with the others. The coffee is decent and the employees are usually pleasant. I usually brew my own at home, but will go here when I am having a lazy day. The prices are a little high, but so are most coffee places. I will say they are better than their competitors as I refuse to go to them. The line is usually long and due to the location can be a bit of an issue. Other than that give them a try, I'm sure you won't be disappointed. read more

Honestly I don't know how this place has such a high rating. Customer service alone is atrocious most days. When they first opened it was decent, but I've been about 10 times since including this weekend and you'd think someone died with the personality the drive thru people are showing. By that I mean rude and like they'd rather be anywhere, but work. I love a good macchiato and theirs is decent, but I like added hazelnut. They have an app to earn free drinks, but unless you tell them to input your number they never ask or scan the app and seem annoyed when you tell them. Why have an app you don't promote? Food is ok. When the bagels are toasted they're good. I will stick to the local coffee spots nearby that invite you in and make me feel welcome. Vibe is ok inside, but music can be pretty loud if you're trying to hold conversation at times. read more

Reviews on yelp are more accurate the Google. Google seems to be filtering the real reviews. Ive been here 2 times and EVERYTIME I come they are out of ingredients like carbonated water. They charge my card then to tell me they are out of it. everytime I have came here they have charged me then 10 minutes later inform me they're out of carbonated water for my fizz drink. I was a hardcore SBUX drinker prior to Covid. Then they removed their round tables and it basically became a place to order on the app and oickup for a takeaway. Fast forward I tried a new Black Rock Coffee location and I was truly impressed. The derive was awesome and extremely helpful for a newbie. The coffee is great, love Black Rock bars. I enjoy most of their locations & ambiance but the service at the location is awful. On multiple occasions the girls won't greet ya or even acknowledge that I'm ready to order at the counter. I've waiting every time to even just be acknowledged but the girls ignore me til finally one of the guys will eventually approach me & take my order. I find the girls including the manager to allow this behavior, it's very immature. I'm very happy they will be a new location opening im Surprise so I won't continue to deal with the immaturity of this location. Even with an apology or response to this, I've experienced that bad service too many times for this location to make it any better. I just walked in to pick up a mobile order that I had made 30 minutes prior and there was a line of 6 people ahead of me ordering at the counter. All six of those people got their drinks before they even started making mine and they never even apologize when I point out that I ordered so long ago. Don't stop by here too often but when I do the coffee is decent. Service is always good. Employees always upbeat and helpful with coffee suggestions. Location gets a bit crowded in the parking lot so don't ever park and visit the inside. I haven't found a coffee I can say that I love but anything with caramel is pretty good. read more

I watched the guy make it and he did not put whip in and I asked the lady at the window about the whip and she said it has it. I opened the lid and guess what NO WHIP. Today is opening day and Black Rock Coffee, come celebrate with them! They are hipster and cool and customer service is always great! The music is bumping! The lines were long at the door and crazy long at the drive thru! They are waiting for the white cones to be moved and for their free drink! This mornings plan was an I.V. for the hubby. (An Irish cream vanilla breve with 6 shots) * It is like a Dutch Bros. 911 but not as sweet which my husband appreciates. It's finally cooling down a bit here and this was the tot's first warm cocoa of the season. Free drinks today only. They are not taking payments for additional drinks so I chose a medium hot cocoa for the girls to share. Hubby I am sorry to say you're on your own, but I love ya. They have a nice drive through like their other locations. I was about 10th in line and I had my drink in less than 5 min walking in the door and not even 1 min after placing my order so they were moving pretty good. I did sneak a sip of the hot cocoa and it wasn't just an ordinary hot cocoa. It was light creamy and yummy! Not heavy stuff at the bottom. Consistant all the way to the bottom!
