Couldn't be more hateful to have found Amy at NWGLW. Getting a tan in this state is not an easy thing to do, and also the older I get the more conscious I am about how much time I spend in the sun. The only problem is- I can't wear shorts/ dresses when I'm glow in the dark white. Cue -Amy with her wonderful spray tan technique. I'm a super fair skinned natural strawberry blonde Irish girl! NW GLW is amazing because she hand sprays you! I was pretty much butt naked and she was completely professional and kept great conversation. She was able to get this gorgeous gorgeous tan on me for Hawaii, sent me some with great instructions and my tan faded evenly and lastly almost two weeks. Amy is an artist ! I've gone to her twice now, both for special occasions and each time I've felt SO GOOD about myself. This is an eyelash service review, I can't speak on the tanning service. First, make sure you arrive with plenty of time for parking because you'll need to either find street parking or a non-reserved spot in a garage. Give yourself time to download the app, enter payment info, etc. as it is all paid-for parking. As for my lashes - I asked for natural, whispy, and short lashes as I was attending a professional graduation. I've attached a picture so you can see what I ended up with... not classy at all. Less than two days later I had a lot of fall out (and I did not get them wet, use makeup, etc). See the second picture - I'm really disappointed in how uneven my face looks now. I've gotten lashes done dozens of times, and always get them for the summer months. A few lashes falling out is normal - what's happened here is not normal or expected when you've received good lashes. I've recently moved to this area and was looking for a new lash girl - I have never been so disappointed.. I'll be going elsewhere to get them fixed right before the graduation. One star is valid because she did offer to fix it, but wasn't able to get me in until the end of the week. So my options were pay someone else to fix them or go to my big event with asymmetrical lashes. I really hate leaving negative reviews, but both the service & issue resolution did not meet expectations. read more

Wow- Amy really is as incredible as everyone says she is! I went for the first time yesterday, and woke up today to the prettiest, most natural looking glow I've ever had from a spray tan. I don't have a single dark spot at any joint, and whatever product she uses is divine because I always, ALWAYS turn some shade of orange but not this time! Her studio is so chic and inviting. I haven't gotten a spray tan in almost a decade... and after this first experience with Amy, I can't believe I waited this long! As soon as I walked in, her warmth and energy made me feel right at home. It was my first time getting sprayed by a person and not a machine- and I was feeling really nervous and self conscious going into it. Got a service I was EXTREMELY displeased with on 11/12/2019. Sugaring with Tu Ma. She was THE WORST. I reached out to NW GLW so as to not have it come to me writing a review on yelp but haven't heard anything and it's been a week. I just wanted to warn others looking for a sugaring service, do not see Tu. Zero customer service skills. She didn't talk to me the entire time. My sugaring only took 15 minutes but the appointment was scheduled for 45 minutes. I could not imagine anyone enduring that pain for that long. I have been getting sugared for years at different places and this was by far the most painful experience. Typically, they lay down the sugar, pull it away and then apply pressure. The pressure part is extremely important as it helps alleviate the pain. I did not receive that once! Additionally, she did not describe after care to me nor did she go back and tweeze the remaining hairs. I did give 2 stars because she did the job but the lack of customer service and tact was really unsettling, especially for such an intimate experience. read more
