    30th Birthday Party
    Cody W.

NW Growlers is the best. My wife and I have been going here ever since we moved to John's Landing, and every time we go we make friends. We aren't even big beer drinkers, but the atmosphere here is so great, it makes it such an inviting place to hang out. I like the place so much that we asked the owner, Johnny, if we could have my wife's 30th birthday here! They let us have a private party for 25 of our close friends, and it was amazing. Jasmine was the best server we've ever had, and only added to the experience. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for good beer or a nice place to hang out with some friends.

Great beers on tap! Thirty different varieties of PNW craft beer. Very cool set up, dogs are allowed on the outside and you can bring your own food or get tacos next door (when they are open). The owner and his dog (Amos) are very friendly. So glad a place like this opened in the neighborhood. You can drink brews here or buy growlers to go (along with a variety of craft 22s).

Last night was awesome! Butters had a great time hanging out with all the dogs there. They got 30 beer on tap, so there's something for everyone. Even 2 types of kombuchas. They even have free popcorn for you to snack on. There's no food menu that's why it's dog friendly. But you can bring your own food which is a great plus. This will definitely our weekly hangout especially on rainy days.

So many options, so little time! They have a constant rotation of some of the best beers in the NW, and it's easy to get sidetracked with great bar conversation. The owners are super friendly, and the patrons are equally as nice. For those who need to switch it up, they usually have cider on tap too. I'm a big fan of Two Towns when it's available!

We love this new place in the neighborhood. Ever changing taps provide lots of variety. Follow them on Facebook to get the latest tap additions. We go by for a pint and sit at the bar, or fill a growler for later. The owners and their friends who work there are super friendly. You can bring in your own food to eat as well. Bonus: I bought a U of O growler to impress my friends :) Love this place.

More lounge-y inside, which is lovely sexy and cool with warm vibes and twinkling chili lights, but to me, it just doesn't jibe with the outdoor area aesthetic-- does it want to be a lounge or a surf bar? I might be splitting hairs here, just an observation. In any case, taken on its own merits, the sleek interior space is very nice indeed, and service was excellent; the menu is compact, but looks promising, and there is a cool TV room in the back where you can literally watch DVD on an old set. Love it! The outdoor area (upfront, overlooking Capital Hwy) is a spacious grassy plot, with a good amount of chairs arranged on either side strategically placed near heaters, and is a great spot to spend summer afternoons - there's even a covered part. To me, it just feels like a completely different business which I guess is good if you can't decide what mood you're in. I'll be back to try the food, and will update then.

So many records store have the records jampacked and it's incredibly time-consuming to go through to find what you're looking for or just browsing is a pain. That is not the case here as you will see by my pictures! There are so many records to choose from and they are constantly adding to their inventory. Today they have six beers on tap, one cider and they offer wine by the glass. I also have a case where you can pick up beard to go or drink it in house for a small corkage fee. I had a nice chat with the owners and look forward to chatting with them again soon. I wish The Record Pub an abundance of success and plan on stopping after work to have a refreshing drink!

My most…read morerecent visit here was for Thursday Night Football, and luckily there are a lot of screens to accommodate pigskin fans. I will say the layout is weird though; it's a jumble of several separate rooms, an upstairs area (closed when we were there) a patio and a pretty big, distinct game room. It's like a big old house, with rustic vibes, divvied up. The menu is fairly broad, basically a twist on the usual bar food but with better flavors: salads, burgers, sandwiches, bowls, and of course, nachos. We got the chicken gyros which were slathered in buffalo sauce, making for a very spicy but definitely not Middle Eastern flavor profile. Pretty good, but overly saucy, though it made perfect sense --- we were watching the Buffalo Bills at the Buffalo Gap, eating a wrap with Buffalo sauce. Our Nachos Supreme were friggin huge, too! Order carefully. Our bartender and server were great, smiley yet professional, and there was a lot of energy in the room, as I think the Lewis & Clark college kids were having a meet up at the same time. Definitely loud tonight. An interesting spot with a different feel every time I go. Comfy, and dark, but not too divey. I like the upstairs area, personally. Brunch on weekends!
