Seating was a bit confusing since we scouted out a couple tables for our group, waited a bit, then started clearing the empty drinks off ourselves before being told that the staff was going to take care of it, but once we were sat at a clear table it was easy to order up at the bar.

More lounge-y inside, which is lovely sexy and cool with warm vibes and twinkling chili lights, but to me, it just doesn't jibe with the outdoor area aesthetic-- does it want to be a lounge or a surf bar? I might be splitting hairs here, just an observation. In any case, taken on its own merits, the sleek interior space is very nice indeed, and service was excellent; the menu is compact, but looks promising, and there is a cool TV room in the back where you can literally watch DVD on an old set. Love it! The outdoor area (upfront, overlooking Capital Hwy) is a spacious grassy plot, with a good amount of chairs arranged on either side strategically placed near heaters, and is a great spot to spend summer afternoons - there's even a covered part. To me, it just feels like a completely different business which I guess is good if you can't decide what mood you're in. I'll be back to try the food, and will update then.

We ordered an Italian sandwich which was delicious and Mudhoney Remix and a ginger beer. They have NA options and $1 off everything during happy hour (4-6 pm and all day Sunday). The bar has a nice cozy feel to it and a mellow look to it. Parking can be tricky at times like most places in the village, but I was able to find street parking in the residential area a block away. There is also a paid parking lot across the street if you don't want to walk much. Definitely going back again to try more of their drinks.

Checked out the menu and was given a recommendation based on my preferences. Settled on the Mudhoney cocktail... the Chardonnay foam was such a really fun touch! The prices are fair, and the small bites offer great options when you don't need or want a full meal. I ordered a side of pretzels and the bartender comped them because there weren't enough to justify a full portion. Very classy. I like the atmosphere a lot... good lighting, comfy booths, plentiful drink options. And not too loud! Definitely a perfect place for a date or hangout with a trusted friend!

It's on the street level of a multistory apartment building, with big windows that look out onto Capital Highway, which makes for good people watching, and there's a dozen or so tables --- both low and high ---- inside for seating. A couple of TV screens are tucked up into the corners, but the vibe is definitely not that of a sports bar; more of a semi-private club. Thumbs up to these guys for usually having an interesting, off-the-beaten-path selection of beers, ciders and wines. It's always fun to try something new, Alas, there's no food - like, at all - which is why I'm taking off a star, but otherwise it's a throughly pleasant (if kind of generic, decor-wise) space in which to enjoy a tasty brew among the friendly local denizens of Multnomah Village.
