The staff is professional and the doctors have worked to resolve not just band-aide my allergy and asthma issues. I would recommend this facility. I come here because it close and i need it. When it first opened it was quick and easy but now an allergy shot appointment that only last 2 mins takes a longggg wait time. It seems as they book multiple people at the same time to have everyone waiting in the room and i don't hear anyone get called. So every time I have a "scheduled appointment" some how the "nurse" always forgets about me. I see this happen to tons of patiences. Last week , a older women goes up to the front counter complaining that her appointment was for 10:00am and it was 11:15am and she still hasn't even been seen. She said she got a ride from a friend and she would have to leave soon. The "nurse" called (4) people before calling the patient with the appointment. The waiting room was full of people with appointments. It was crystal clear what the office was doing, double booking appointments with hopes that someone does show up. Prime example, my roommate actually goes to the same location as I do. I scheduled my appointment for 9:00 along with her weekly 9am Friday appointment. I wrote my name first on the sign in sheet. How is it that their going to call her and not me. My roommate comes back and says to me check with the front counter, I think they forgot about you. I go up and sure enough her name was crossed off and so was mine, even though I was wasn't even called. I asked her to check the list and she reviews it goes to the back to confirm with the nurse. She comes back up and said sorry there is (2) nurses so they are splitting the sign in sheet. I asked ok so is the other nurse going to call me up? The receptionist has a puzzled look on her face and turns around to what I can only assume is to go back and ask the "nurse". The receptionist comes back and says yes I put your chart back in the correct order. You should be called within a few minutes. I use the word "nurse" loosely since the very first time I came to this site I saw that another nurse was basically training one of the girls from the receptionist section how to administer the allergies shots. Compare with another location, Midtown and Murray hill, this Gleandale location is worst. People who came to the office after me, they were called before me. This happened me multiple times. I need the allergy shots monthly. One reception lady told me, the patients who get the allergy shots weekly, have to be called faster. Patients are called based on cycles of allergy shots, not arriving time. I have been a patient of NYASC for couple years, previously with Midtown and Murray hills location, I've never have this problem with them. I wish they open on Saturday or late night, then I could come there again. Overall, waiting time at Gleandale location is horrible. In my view, nurse and physician at Midtown and Murray hills are more professional. If you can have a choice to go Midtown or Murray hills, I recommend you to go there. read more

I was left waiting for 45 minutes for my 11:00 appointment only to find out they crossed out my name without seeing me and I received no apology (I worked customer service as reception for a few years and isn't that the basics? :( I also work in the health care field and never seen something like this?) After the receptionist staff went to lunch, I approached the receptionist who filled in for them and he was kind, organized, and apologized. however, I noticed the previous receptionists rewrote my name on the sign in sheet and wrote my arrival time to be at 11:30?? (False! I arrived and signed in at 10:53). I ended up finally going into the office after waiting an hour and 10 minutes. The appointment took less than 10 minutes. I've had really bad allergies all my life (I'm 34 years old) and never realized I could be cured. Thank god for NYASC! Dr Lin has been awesome. He is straightforward, incredibly knowledgeable and really have changed my life. He gives me answers to all my issues and hasn't' steered me wrong. Unprofessional office, my experience here was horrible for a "specialty" type of practice. I had my office visit done last year in October, the girls were nice and attentive, but the doctor whom I had was the most unprofessional doctor I have met. During my visit, he was having a casual conversation with the girls, so I think that's very unprofessional when you have a patient inside the room trying to find out the reason for the allergic reaction in her hands. But this isn't the worst, before we proceeded in doing the PATCH test, I asked the doctor if my insurance will cover for this part of the test, he then reassured me that it will be covered and that all insurances cover for this test so I don't have to worry about it. I of course agreed to do the test after being reassured that I will not have to pay for the test. Come May 2022, I receive a mail from the office that I owe an x amount close to 1k for the services they performed. Now not only am I being charged for the tests but also the copays for the visit. This office has an absurd pricing. I called the center and spoke to some ladies in the billing department. On my first phone call, I asked why I'm being charged for the services done more than 6 months ago. I was told that it was due to my insurance policy, which I explained then that the doctor shouldn't have told me that I wouldn't have to worry about the cost since the insurance will cover. How is it my fault that I was given the wrong information and now I have to pay the price for it. They are just telling me that I have to be responsible to pay for something that was a misinformation given by a doctor who practices in this office. I then asked why the bill was sent to me so late, this to me is a surprise bill, after 6 months you receive a mail with a large bill, how am I supposed to react. Their excuse was that due to Pandemic, a lot of insurance payments have been delayed, that's BS. Someone spoke with the manager and they decided to offer me 15% off reduction from the total amount or offer me a payment plan. They gave me till the end of the week to decide. Before I was able to speak, they had threatened me to put me in collections, please note that this is the first time I have ever spoke about this bill. Just by the tone, this seems like a common thing they do to their patients. I called them back two days later to further discuss because the pricing is absurd and I am struggling financially, I wasn't expecting to pay this x amount. They weren't understanding or even tried to help me, instead they said sorry and that 15% off is all they could do. I then again told them it was still not my fault that the doctor provided me with the wrong information. The answer to that was that the doctor shouldn't have said that and probably was the reason why he was fired. Wait what? Fired? Alright, so doc was fired, then how do you explain why I am receiving this bill more than 6 months later when all my other doctors send me the bill a month later with clear explanation of my responsibilities in payment. She told me I shouldn't have waited this long to resolve this issue but, I just received the bill in May! This is where it gets more funny, she said they sent me a bill last year in November, then this year in January and now May. Hold on, I thought the bills were delayed due to pandemic! I also mentioned that shouldn't the office provide the list of pricing for the services that they provide to the patient so they are aware of what they will be paying for. I was told that it wasn't the case, that specialty practices don't have to provide pricing information like our general practitioners do. I also asked if I were to decide to do the 15% off, will I receive the adjusted pricing information by email. She then said yes, but after they receive the first payment which will be reflected later on and they will then send me the adjusted pricing by mail and email later. It is very unfortunate at times like these that there are still businesses that take advantage of their patients. read more

How sad this whole experience has been. They are Definitely not taking my daughters health / allergies seriously at all! From the start I made an appt with Dr. Braunstein, waited well over an hour to be called and then to be called with one of the assistants - not the doctor I made the appt with. Then the asst wasn't even nice - was cutting me off not allowing me to speak throughout the appt. I finally called him on his rudeness asking him if he was ok and if he didn't want to continue the appt and he said no I'm fine let's continue. He did end up apologizing at the very end but I should have walked out then and there had I known this would continue to go downhill. Now the results were sent to their office 4 weeks ago and they had claimed all along not to have them. They finally tell me they have them 2 days ago and that a doctor will call me same day - still waiting for that call!!!! Waiting is expected. I arrived with my mother few minutes early since it was our first visit. The ladies at the desk were welcoming and kind. Yes, I had to wait about an hour, but again, it was Saturday morning and there was plenty of people besides me who needed to see the doctor. I was informed time to time how many people were in front of us, which helped with the waiting. We met with Dr. Cali Meyer Reynolds, who was more than professional throughout the entire meeting. I was there with my mother who had a skin reaction. Dr Reynold wasnt so sure of the cause of my mother's symptoms. At this moment she could've perhaps referred us to a dermatologist and dismissed us. But instead she took her time and even asked two other doctors to stop by to take a look at my mother (which she didn't have to). Then, two of the PA stopped by, Dr. John Chu and Dr. Kristyl Cuenca-Sisko. Although they shared similar uncertainty, their genuine interest and kind words lessened my mother's worries. Even though we left with uncertainty to my mother's symptoms we left with peaceful mindset than when we came. Dr. Reynolds is an exemplary doctor who cares about the person before the illness/symptoms. Noticing my mother's anxiety and concern, her choice of words, empathetic smile and reassurance of the whole matter has helped us both. Same can be said with Dr Kristyl Cuenca-Sisko who gave significant amount of her time from other obligations to assist our needs. Thank you again, I simply hope other people who visit this facility over look the waiting. I kept calling to reschedule no one called me back. I called to speak to a manager and no one called me back. Finally after about a month of no one calling me back I called again and told the lady how aggravated I was and how unprof they are, and the manager called back his name was Tito. He said he was going to look into it and call me back. He never called back. I called twice and requested for the Dr. to call me back and he never called me back. So I register myself online for an appointment at 4:30 PM. I upload my insurance card my ID and enter all required information. I get to the office at 4:20 and based on an email I receive a check in electronically with my phone and as I sit there I see people who are coming in after me going in to be seen by the doctor. I walk up to the front window and I asked why this is happening and they told me because I didn't sign in. I told him what was the point of checking in electronically based on the email that you guys sent ? i'm told, oh I'm sorry for the confusion checking in online doesn't necessarily mean we know you're here. And then the next breath they asked me for my insurance card and my ID which I told him I already uploaded but lo and behold I'm it didn't come through.This Place really needs to review their patient portal sites. It's 5:15 I'm still waiting! Finally get called in at 5:25 and I must say Dr. Shah was very thorough and informative and took her time with me. That's the only reason for the four stars. read more

Finally a friend of a friend recommended Dr. Saadia at the NY Allergy and Sinus center at the Glendale location. I don't have any complaint at all. She have done so many tests to get to the point of my condition. She cares about my health. The waiting time is excellent. Didn't wait long at all. Personal is amazing. Beautiful people here. The most unprofessional " medical office" in Queens. They repeatedly make you wait at least 45 minutes to sometimes one hour and 40 minutes for an "appointment" even when there are no other customers in the office and the waiting list only has one name on it. They do NOT socially distance ...I will report this to outside city state and federal agencies.. The office is packed at times with customers in the middle of this covid crisis yet the staff know to cover their area with plastic. Customers scream into their phones and blast music while the receptionists dont do a damn thing. Stay away from this superspreader office if you want my opinion. read more

I have been going to the Gendale office for some time now . And they have made some staff changes that are fabulous . The two women at the front desk where you sign in are very lovely , however , the small one very small with long curly hair is the MOST unprofessional front desk person ever . Since day 1 - I would go to her to pay my co payment and she sits there ignoring me . Not even acknowledging my existence . So today I watched closely and waited , completely ignored me , waited long enough for her to say " hi sorry one second is to at least direct me to someone else " I waited then saw her fanning herself with a pink fan . I gave up and went to the front desk where you sign in and there are lovely women there and made my appointment without any problem and acknowledged me right away . Right after I left her and gave uo , two people cane out after me and she said " are you guys all set ? Do you need anything " she made it very obvious that she singled me out . This time I got a nice manager , who I complained too . Although I know the complaint will fall on deaf ears - I made the manager aware . I managed an office in Manhattan, I worked for an investor relations firm , if I ever did that - I would have been fired on the spot . As my clients pay money for our services , you should treat them with respect . She is a low life piece of crap . My daughter is as with me and she couldn't believe me hat she had done . I will also speak to every doctor I go to about her from now on . Her behavior towards me since day 1 has been the most nasty , unprofessional I have ever seen . This is not the first time she has done this to me . My husband has cancer and my life is a mess right now . She's lucky I had my daughter with me or I would have been old her off myself . The next time I come . I told what I believe to be the manager that the rest of the staff is very nice professional and lovely . Watch out for this little dwarf , she should be fired . The next time I come , I will go to her again . And I will show the manager exactly what she does . So times you have to play the fool , who thinks they are fooling you . Maybe your upset because you are a nobody or because you get paid minimum wage, and maybe it's because of your reflection in your mirror . They lack attention to even the slightest detail. For instance, I called from a landline this morning to inquire when my next appointment is - left a brief message and specified the mobile number I could be reached at (I did not want them calling the landline back). Not only did they call the landline, but it looks like they did not even listen to the message. They left a general, almost inaudible message, asking to call them back. So we're going to play phone tag, is that it? So irritating and not efficient by any means! Other instance was calling to inquire about scheduling a last minute appointment. Though the young lady I spoke to tried her best to squeeze me in, instead of calling me back on the mobile I was calling her from, she called my old mobile and my old work number and left a message there. I saw Dr. K Shah for my son and I couldn't but give rave reviews about her. My son loved her too and she is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. She takes her time explaining us everything in detail and never makes us feel rushed. The reason I took one star off is because I saw Dr. Tamavey before her and he was HORRIBLE. I felt rushed he didn't answer any question and was constant distracted just kept looking at his computer and was rude to one of his staff when we were in the room with him. He also made me wait a long time before seeing us while Dr. Shah was very quick. We only returned back to this clinic because one of my friends saw Dr. Shah told us she was amazing and we should only see her. read more

I've been to a couple of doctors offices due to my intense sinus headaches. No doctor thus far has been able to tell me why I have such server sinus headaches, until I came here!! I've always been told that it's a migraine, until I had a C-scan done in office and found out i have very narrow nasal passages which cases a build up in my sinuses b/c the fluid can't drain. I have been going to NY Allergy in Queens for a few years now, and they're very helpful. Dr. K. is very helpful with me managing my asthma, and very condition. If something is not right, she fixes it. The wait time on a Saturday is not good, but if you go during the week, it's not usually a long wait. They say they are going to do something and they don't. You need to call at least 6 times to speak to someone who actually knows something. This was my first time seeing an allergists and my first time having an allergy test done. The girls up front, were kind and helpful and the clinic was clean and inviting. I was particularly satisfied with Theresa, the nurse that did my questionnaire evaluation in the room and with Katherine, another front desk girl. Then Dr. Erin (last name Banta) did my allergy physical and skin tests. She too was extremely kind, very helpful, and she definitely knew her stuff. I got all of my questions answered and would definitely recommend this clinic to a friend. read more

I would like to say thank you to the 2 Crystals (Kristyal). The PA Kristyal and her assistant Crystal helped me out with my grandson and I am forever grateful. He was so miserable for a week and saw 3 different doctors for the same issue. Kristyal was the 4th one this week. I gave him the medication she recommended when we got home and his eyes started clearing immediately. He was no longer in pain and he had stopped tearing, the mucus even cleared. My grandson was seen there in March just for testing for school. I didn't see any reason to comment then. I never even downloaded yelp til I met the 2 Crystals (Kristyal). Anyway his allergies really started showing out once that pollen count was high. He isn't out the clear but doing much better and will continue to see the 2 Crystals (Kristyal). The receptionist had terrible customer service in exception for Rachael. I arrived at 8:15, filled out the long paper work that was requested; I was than taken to a room at 9:30 to have a lady ask me the same exact questions that were in the documents I just completed! I advised her I completed the documents and she said "they didn't give me anything" and proceeded. Instead of her investigating to cut down the wait time she did not give a damn and continued. I was than told to wait again in the front until 10:00 a.m. I waited approximately 2 hours as patients came in and out in a matter of 5 minutes! I had enough and decided to approach the receptionist with my concern and I expressed how upset I was. Rachael was the only one who decided to ask the other receptionist about the doctor whom was actually available all along and did not have any patient! Apparently the doctor was available the whole time and I wasted time in the waiting area, when I had to go back to work. Let alone I was actually there to get the allergy test in which took approximately 35 minutes with Dr. Moreau The doctor was magnificent she was extremely sympathetic when I told her what happened and she could not believe I was waiting for such a long time. She was prompt, informative, professional, and definitely a people person. I disliked the way I was treated before my meeting with the doctor, and I would not recommend this place to anyone because of the careless attitudes. Luckily they have Dr. Moreau because if it wasn't for her I would have lost it. I felt bad for Rachael at the end because she felt a bit of my back lash attitude when she had just arrived at the front desk while the other receptionist (blondeish brown haired female) was chatting it up with the male white doctor. BTW that doctor was not friendly what so ever, he kept giving me and my coworker nasty looks. Unbelievable. I am extremely patient and understanding but that was completely unacceptable. The office was empty!!! But seriously they need to receive proper training. An allergy clinic is extremely uncomfortable due to the testing and procedures. As a health care professional I would never treat my patients in that manner! However I do want to thank management for reaching out to me and comforting me after. I read all the good reviews, but unfortunately that wasn't my experience numerous times. The medical assistants and some doctors/PA's don't close the door when the patient is in the room so there is no privacy. There is usually music playing while the patient is in the exam room so that is distracting and unprofessional. One of the PA's, John, was unprofessional and had poor rapport. Another time I waited an hour to be seen to find out that the front desk didn't bother to check the rest of the waiting area for patients. They thought I was seen, but shouldn't the staff be more organized and keep track of who was seen and who wasn't seen? Another PA, Kristyl, was 20 minutes late and the staff didn't tell me anything nor did Kristyl apologize for her tardiness. The staff didn't tell me their policies for allergy shots so I ended up waiting an hour. read more

The office has a clean, neat waiting area and I usually don't have to wait too long to be seen. I would recommend earlier appointments as it seems to get busier as the day goes on.
