One of the best nail salons Ive been to. I made a reservation for our bridal party. My best friend had some pearly white almond shaped acrylics and I got some purple nails done. The lady that did my nails color matched my nails to a photo I showed her. She picked a color that really popped against my skin and I was happy with that. I went in for a dip powder manicure and waited about 15 minutes to be seated (had an appointment for 4:00 PM). The salon was mildly busy when I arrived, which I understand, so this was no big deal. The selection of colors was very good and the staff was friendly. However, I had my manicure done on a Saturday and by Monday morning, two of the nails had chipped/the powder coating had fractured. I would not recommend this salon, based on the poor quality of the work done. I feel like I threw money away and my nail beds were damaged due to excessive drummeling. read more

Horrible horrible horrible!!! I paid $31 for a pedicure that doesn't even look like she touched my feet at all. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone! When I mentioned that my pedicure wasn't done to my satisfaction, no one was willing or able to help. I'm assuming it was the manger who I spoke to and said "does it look like she touched my feet?" His rude response was "idk ask her" and proceeded to tell me how my pedicure was $30. Not only were they rude but they didn't and weren't willing to do anything to please me with there service! Used to love this place until around 2 months ago the entire staff changed. Now my acrylics have fallen off before a week has passed! Very quick and messy work. The pictures I attached are from my last visit. Asked for coffin shape. Some of them are squares and others are off centered coffin shape. The underneath was messy and I had to file the underneath myself. Nails are all different lengths when you actually like them up. Totally do not recommend if you want nails that look good and last for longer than a week. read more

Well I have just witnessed my first discrimination because of my skin color. So, I'm a black hardworking travel nurse who is working in Oswego NY. My nails needed to be done and since I'm away from home, I ask the staff at my travel work for a good nails shop that I can go and the recommended NY nails shop. Tell me why I showed up and the chinese guy said they are not accepting anymore people because he is full and there is only three staff working but I have sit in the parking lot and saw 4 women (White) enter the shop and is sitting waiting. The environment is very friendly! The workers are young but great at what they do. I got a gel manicure and a pedicure. The pedicure was relaxing and all of the tools were clean. They also let me come in after they already started cleaning and closing. I wish they accepted card for tip but I still give them 5 stars because the dollar tree nearby gives cash back. read more

I would never recommend this place to anyone. I took my daughter there in December 2017 to just have her nails painted. She ended up catching a fungus and has been on 2 antibiotics and 2 different fungal creams. It is now the end of March 2018 and she still has it. I wish I could give less than a star because they have no customer service either when I called them to let them know they would not give me a refund and I told them I was going to call the health department and they said go ahead and call them! I wish I had read the reviews before going here. Worst pedicure ever. Like someone else said it was little more than a polish change, they didn't even trim all of my nails and the ones they did touch are crooked. Not to mention they put my socks on before the polish was dry and now it's ruined. Should have left when I couldn't find a color I really liked. Won't be coming back the next time I'm in town. Not even worth going back for a fix tomorrow because they will probably only mess it up some more. read more

This was the worst place that I have ever been. I went there during Harbor Fest this year to get a mani/pedi done and they completely rushed through both because they were busy. I understand that you're busy and there's a lot of people waiting - but I am paying for the full services you offer and you only do half the amount of work? When the gentlemen took me he completely butchered my nails. He filed them down and buffed them then had me wash my hands and sat me in a pedicure seat. I waited an alright amount of time before someone was free. After receiving pedicures before I could tell that steps were missing from what I was getting; such as the main point - a nice foot scraping. I wanted black tips done and she did an okay job except for the fact that they were crooked. Once my crooked toes were done I was moved back to a manicure station where I then waited for an alright amount of time considering the amount of people waiting. When the gentleman sat back down he asked me for payment, I paid, left a generous tip - never said thank you or anything. The when he began with me I was expecting more, like lotions of some sort, a massage or something... Instead he just painted my nails, again with the black tip. It took all of 2 minutes, one coat.. no shaping, no fixing. Nothing. Just a transparent black strip across each destroyed nail. A couple hours later my nails began to chip. The next day all but two chipped. I didn't want to go back it was such a bad experience, and I wasted 50 dollars for waiting. I would never go back here and I would suggest no one goes here. read more

I highly recommend NY Nails. As a very pregnant woman who can barely touch her toes, this place has recently become a god send for me. The staff are always very friendly and attentive to my needs. I had a painful hangnail that they removed without hesitation and they have always done a wonderful job with my mani and pedi. I went to NY nail to get a pedicure. The guy who worked on my feet didn't know what he was doing. He managed to cut the nails but they are all different lengths. I asked him to paint a Xmas flower with some glittery paint. He put the red paint on & then had to take the paint off 3 times on one toe because he screwed it up. A girl came over & I asked her to paint a snowflake since neither one could paint a flower!! She said the only person who could paint the snowflake was up front & he was busy with a customer. So I just left. I got home & saw that he left red paint on my skin from the 3 times he took the paint off my nail. I'm never going back there ever!! read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Don't be like me and don't listen to reviews. I went here before my wedding and it was the worst experience I've ever had. For one I had an appointment and they didn't sit me down until 45 minutes after it. They were all so rude especially the one that did my gel manicure. After she was done with the manicure literally about 15 minutes for the whole thing I had white polish all over my fingers. I asked her about it and she said don't be so crazy in your head. And she was fiercely pointing to her head. It will be fine. This is how we do things here. I don't see anything. Then she literally pulled me over into the light and took a nail file to my actual fingers, not my nails, MY FINGERS. Wtf? My mom was also with me and her nails were smudged as soon as she walked out the door. They were pissed and then fixed her nail which smudged again that day. My nails lasted literally 2 days before they started chipping and peeling up. I have never in my life been treated like this or had a worse experience in my life. Please don't go here. At this nail salon it all depends on who you get. If you get Andy you're in luck! He's the best person here. Unfortunately if you get some of the other staff you maybe in for some pain. I had new acrylics put on by a woman there who put so much glue on that it cemented my skin to the nail. She then proceeded to file around them never trying to pull the skin from the nail first. I went shopping at JCPenney's after and couldn't believe how much pain my fingers were in! After closer inspection I realized she had filed right through my skin around the nails! Ouch! The technician I had on my most recent trip did an excellent job (shout out to Danny!), probably the most care someone has taken with my nails, and I started getting my nails done more than 15 years ago. The environment was laid back, the space looked clean. It felt very much like a nail salon I would go to in the Bronx, NYC. So, I also could be totally comfortable in the environment. In the past, I've came here to get my eyebrows done. The technicians have cycled between 2 different women and they've always been friendly and done a nice job. The thing I really like, you can tell the employees get along. A good work environment where people appear happy, that shows. One thing to watch for, the price of things add up quickly. Be mindful of your budget. It won't be hard to spend $50 or more with tip in one visit. read more

This is the worst place in Oswego to get your nails done; if you're looking for a good place to go, might I suggest In Vogue? It's a little pricier (because it's done by Americans), but the manicures/pedicures actually last. I went here at approximately 3:30 PM on Monday, 8/27/12 to get manicures with my friend. The lady who took me took nearly an hour to perform a simple manicure, and did such a sloppy job that she had to continuously remove polish from the skin around my nails with a paintbrush dipped in acetone. She did not listen to me when I said I liked my nails longer and more rounded; she cut them fairly short and squared them off. I should have just left the establishment then. I refused to pay any more than the $12 fee, and was given a very nasty look by the woman when I didn't put a tip into her open hand. I thought this was extremely rude and unprofessional on her part. Even though the cost of the manicure was not very much, it was still all a waste. By the time I went out around 11 PM that night, two of my nails had chipped. By Wednesday afternoon, nearly all of my nails had extremely large bare spots where the polish had literally peeled off. By now (Friday morning), all of my nails look atrocious. I can paint my own nails. If I'm going to pay money for someone else to do it, I expect a quality job that lasts more than 48 hours (and that's being generous). Do not give this place your business, go somewhere else. read more

I wish I didn't have to give this salon any stars because this is the worst nail salon I've ever been to. I asked for a manicure and it was a polish change at best, and even then, it was the worst I have ever seen. The girl soaked my nails in water, did not seem to care when she cut me while she was trimming my cuticles, and then put polish on my nails. There was no lotion, no products used to soften the cuticle, no anything!. I hope I don't get it in sections from the cut I received. And upon further review I realized how filthy the salon was. It depends on which technician you get - but overall the service is good. The salon is clean and relaxing. Usually, odors related to acrylics and other nail products are not overwhelming. I do really appreciate how good they are at remembering who you are and making you feel comfortable. read more

Worst pedicure ever. I am healing from a very sore cuticle wound (hope it doesn't get infected) and the color was tacky and was ruined by night time. I don't think there was any sore of top coat. I can't go back to complain because they are closed for two days for the holiday. I'm just going to chalk this one up and not ever go back there again. read more
