I can't believe I haven't reviewed NY Pie until right now! We moved to Hendersonville last summer and immediately found NY Pie and have not gone to any other pizza place since! This is the perfect thin crust NY style pizza around. My parents make us go every time they visit and usually they go once or twice themselves. The pizza is delicious and they offer the best lunch special, either two slices of pizza or one slice and a salad and drink for like $8-10.... great deal! Other bonus: they have beer and other alcoholic drinks available and yummy garlic knots and dessert too! Tastiest hand tossed pie in Hendersonville. Simple but fresh sauces and cheeses. Very large 18 inch easily feeds a family of four. Child friendly. They even let the children play with some dough while they wait. read more

What happened? This place used to be my favorite pizza spot but now you couldn't pay me to eat here. It's been dirty the last couple of times I have gone and the staff is even dirtier looking. This is about authentic as I've found for NY Styled Pizza in Nashville! The sauce is especially exceptional with the just right texture, sweetness, and flavor. The crust holds the pizza well and yet remains soft enough to disappear without a thought! The cheese is a good blend. I LOVE their pepperoni. It's a bolder, brick red, thicker pepperoni that has a nice hit. The sausage is definitely hand sliced and great fennel flavoring. By far, my favorite slice I've had is the Sriracha Chicken! FINALLY, I was extremely surprised with how fantastic the salads are here! Giant, premium ingredient salads that are exceedingly impressive; don't be afraid to order them! This is gem in the rough. I went to visit my daughter at WKU and went shopping in Tennessee. We had a taste for pizza and the stood out. I called and the person on the phone was friendly and helpful. I ordered the sriracha chicken pizza without bacon. The chicken was a sweet barbecue, which was a good contrast to the heat of the sriracha. NY Pie is one of our favorite pizza places to visit. We moved to Tennessee in 2017 from New York and New York pizza is one of the things that we miss the most. Clearly, NY Pie saw a need for recreating pizza the way that it is meant to be and they put a location in Hendersonville and near downtown Nashville. I have met lots of people from the New York area since I have moved to Tennessee and I have told each one of them to visit NY Pie in Hendersonville if they are missing a taste and style of pizza from New York. Our family has been countless times and last time we ate at the restaurant and brought another pie home with us for the next day. We have tried everything from their white slices to BBQ chicken, cheese slices and NY Meats. Everything has been delicious and it's hard to decide what to order most times because I want a little bit of everything. We are from South Florida, so we are used to good NY style pizza. NY Pie has become our favorite in Hendersonville. The pizza is exactly what we remember NY style pizza to be. The only thing I will say is that I prefer slices because the crust actually gets a little crispy because they are reheated. I liked it. They have awesome antipasto salads. I have had the margarita and the NY special and both were really good! I also had a cannoli, they are AWESOME. I really love the atmosphere. The seating is comfy and the place is very clean. We've eaten outside as well on a good weather day and it was great! Pizza is really good when they aren't terribly far behind. Plan to spend some time because it is popular. The staff is trained to start apologizing from the beginning, at a busy time, or not. You can almost guarantee there will be a wait of at least 45 minutes, or that something will go wrong. They spend more time making jokes about how far behind they are than they do working. One time they couldn't find us (didn't call out a number or even come around looking) so they left the pizza on the counter until we finally went up to ask them how close we were to having our dinner. At least we got free pizza the next time we went, and a nice cold pizza that night. I love the food, but they need to tighten up on managing the staff and prepare for busy times. read more

Their toppings are superior to other chains; they use real whole mozzarella, and their sauces are delicious. I enjoyed both the pesto and the traditional marinara. It's not just about the claim of being a NY style pizzeria, it's the price, and the uncleanliness. I ordered a regular style cheese pizza and waited in the dirty waiting area on a filthy cushioned bench staring at dirty base boards, and a dusty counter for almost 20 min. Staff was courteous enough but very loud. When I finally got the pizza, and took it home, it was luke warm. I live less than 8 min away. I've picked pizza up at a different place right by the area and it was hot when I got home. What's worst is that it tasted doughy. As if it weren't cooked long enough. There was no stringy cheese off of these "NY style" slices. The knots are absolutely nothing to go wild about. The pizza sauce it comes with is mediocre, at best.
