Very impressed with this place after one lunch visit and hope to weigh in again after trying more. It's a simple, order-over-the-counter place, but they've got plenty of tables, they offer slices and at very reasonable prices, and they're large and delicious. Thin, slightly floppy* crust with nice chewiness and flavor, along with a fairly even ratio of rich tart tomato and cheese. Oh, and friendly people behind the counter. This was the absolute worst pizza that I have eaten in years. Usually, pizza is pretty good even when it is not great. I've had better frozen pizzas. The toppings were lame and sparse. I was biking through Leominster and wanted a place to grab a quick bite and keep my bike safe. NY Pizza isn't much to look at from the outside but I took a chance. They were nice enough to allow me to bring my bike inside (lots of space and at a time when there were very few people). I got a recommended sandwich, a Caprese sub on fresh pita bread. What a treat! Ordered an Italian sub with a side of curly fries at 4PM. Called them back at 5:10PM to see what was wrong. Was told they called me (not) and also came to my address (not) & there was no answer so delivery brought my order back. They said they called me several times-- I find it a complete lie because I had got no calls, no missed calls, nothing. Perhaps someone took down the wrong phone info? Anyway, now they had the correct number and I also repeated the complete address information. At 5:50pn I called back-- told they're on their way. I had been specific about my location info, apparently it was ignored. I live in the rear apartments. I decided to go outside and check the front of the house and lo and behold I see the delivery person is at the FRONT of the building talking with tenants he had disturbed. At the same time I get a call from him (this was the only call I got from him). After I approached the driver told me he came here twice (yeah to front apartment, not the back, where I live, where I gave all the information twice), obliviously a stupid individual. Had either he or whomever had taken down the correct information- phone number, location, I wouldn't have had to wait 2 HOURS for a lousy sub and fries. The sub was soggy and the fries had hardened. A 2 hour wait for delivery that should have not taken more than 30-40 minutes- because of Incompetent employees who can't get the correct info the first or second time, lousy service, lousy food.
