Visiting from California and in my experience... the overall rating Yelp has for this place....I truly think doesn't represent our experience. 1) the service was FANTASTIC The young man at the counter was so nice and helpful. 2) the pizza was REALLY good NY style pizza. If you don't understand NY pizza you might miss it.... I had Lucalli's in Brooklyn. Considered the world's best by many. I'm not saying this is Lucalli's but it's a solid NY style pizza. Folded well, great flavor and really good dough. 3) you have to try the Brazilian soda.... Really good, not too sweet but not missing on flavor at all. Overall we are really pleased by the service, food, and the cost. (Then again I am from California so anytime I can eat with a family below $40 I'm happy). read more

This pizza restaurant is certainly one of the most interesting I've been to. Turns out it's actually more like a Brazilian food restaurant that also just happens to sell pizza, despite the name being "New York pizza patrol". I asked the waitress what that was about, and it's their family that bought this location a while back, then they just decided to start incorporating Brazilian food into the menu. My group and I got the pepperoni then another that had shredded chicken, corn, olives, and mozzarella cheese. It was a bit of a strange combination, but still very good! The waitress was super friendly and even treated my 4 year old and 2 year old to little scoops of ice cream. I'd love to come back and try more of the pizza's and Brazilian food. read more

We came here for pizza but was surprised that no one in the restaurant was eating pizza. Instead they were eating Brazilian food. This place has a variety of Brazilian dishes so we tried their "beef stroganoff". The sauce was more like a mustard tomato cream sauce with mushrooms and onions. It was really salty but the rice and French fries kind of balanced the saltiness. The steak was a little tough and overcooked. Not a dish I would order again but my sister had their 2 slice and a drink combo for $10 and it did look like a NY style pizza and she said it was good. Maybe we should stick with the pizza next time. Their other Brazilian dishes were quite expensive but it more like big family meals for $40. read more

Pizza is terrible. Sad when you leave and think I should have had little Caesar's across the street. No one is ever there, I'm curious how they are still in business. I've eaten here twice--once when we ordered as an office, and just recently when I went in for lunch. I called ahead to see if they do lunch time slices or anything like that. They confirmed that they have cheese slices. Most places I've visited like that, you walk up to the counter, see what slices they have rotating, and pay up front and sit down. Oddly, I was seated when I walked in. Had I known I would be sitting and paying for a tip on lunch, I probably would've had lunch somewhere else. So if you're looking for fast casual (without a server), I don't recommend NY Pizza Patrol. It took them a while to get around to me; maybe they thought I was waiting for someone? I wasn't. I didn't understand the pricing structure of the slices, or I'd have just gotten a slice of pepperoni. They do charge per topping, which makes sense. I just didn't understand that, so I got two slices of ham and mushroom, plus a half house salad. The salad wasn't great; it was lots of iceberg, an unripe tomato slice, and the blue cheese dressing wasn't great. My pizza was also OK. There was hardly any sauce or cheese on it (and a ton of mushrooms), so I'd recommend asking for extra if you like a little more of either. Service was decent although slightly aloof. Overall this was an expensive lunch for me--not the casual pizza lunch special $2 slice situation I had hoped for. If I came back, it would be ordered to go, and I would do the lunch special on the white board with a personal sized pizza or something; it seems like it might be a better deal. read more

I have gone here a few times now and will keep coming back. I love that their food is always consistently delicious and that they are not afraid to throw down lots of toppings. Their crust is the best around with a crispy outside and chewy center. I was happy with the call in order process and wait time. The food here was delicious. If you're not familiar with Brazilian food, go try the portuguesa pizza and the pastel. They are soooo tasty and I could not recommend it enough. As for the service, the waitress was very friendly and I felt very comfortable in the location. NY Pizza is on my top 3 pizza places in all Utah. The crust is what I love the most, thin and crispy, yum! I have tried several toppings combinations and they are all fantastic. My absolutely favorite is the BBQ chicken. My second favorite is the Philly Cheese Steak. The reason I didn't give them a 5 starts is because is annoying that they charge a service fee if you paid with credit cards. However, the taste is where it was lacking As soon as I opened the box, it was cold, so, therefore, the pizza must have been cold before delivery. 3 stars average for this place seems cruel. The options for pizza in Utah are slim pickings. If this were in NY, I would probably give it a 4. But you have to grade Utah pizza on a curb, so this is a solid 5 for Utah. They offer some pretty unique options for toppings and I'd like to try more of them. But I've liked what I've tried so far. I've also gotten compliments and people asking where I got the pizza when I've ordered it and had people over. I like that they offer full-service and you can sit down and enjoy your pizza in-restaurant. Best of all is that my wife loves it when I order from here, and keeping the wife happy keeps me happy, so I will keep coming back. read more

Delicious pizza and really has that "New York char" flavor in the crust. But is it worth $25 per pizza after tax? No it is not.

just now Horrible customer service . We ordered a sweet pizza an hour after the original savory order and when we got it home eou nao gosto! Very gross! It tasted horrible! We called to the owners trying to talk to them about the possibility of a refund or a replacement. There response is it is your fault for not picking it up sooner. The sauce leaked through the bottom of the box. Bottom line is horrible customer service . Not acceptable they just lost our business forever we are a large Brazilian family and have many Brazilian friends will neverdo business with such an establishment again. read more

It's really too bad. The crust is good, but why do they put so much cheese on it? I can't even tell if there is any sauce. I wanted a NY style pizza, looked at the menu and noticed the cheese pizza was only mozzarella. That's weird, so I tried the 4 cheese pizza. Interesting menu, I don't read Brazilian nor do I know anything about the food culture but they seem to offer two versions of what the same thing (but maybe they're different?) Pizza is good, some interesting topping combinations. Fettuccine Alfredo was surprisingly good too - The sauce was made from scratch, and the pasta was al dente. Will order from here again, nice to have a few pizza places in the takeout/delivery rotation. read more

This is how you run a business!!! I ordered a dinner delivery for my family and the Uber eats driver stole the food! When I called inquiring as to what happened NY Pizza Patrol remade everything helped me get the refund from Uber and even gave me a drink while I waited for the order! It was an approximately a 30 min drive, but the food wasn't ready when we got there. The restaurant wasn't busy at all, so we had no idea why it took longer for them to prepare it, I guess the pizza was fresh out of the oven. When we got there the guy was confuse what we wanted. We told him we were picking up a pizza and he asked us to order at the counter. We had to explain like 3 times for him to understand what we were there for. Honestly, some of us were tired because of long flights so the patience wasn't there. The pizza we ordered looked delicious. It was good, the flavor was there, but idk...I wouldn't say it was the best pizza I've had. It's a convenient place to go, and easy to order. Not really easy to pick up it seem. Late, expensive and well below average tasting pizza. At least they deliver..albeit late!

We went here tonight very hungry and excited to come and try this place out. We had a party of 5 but then had an extra 1 joining (of course we asked the server if it was okay). Everything fine, the food was delicious and didn't take long but the attention was lacking as we were sitting there with no drink refill for most of the meal, but to be fair the restaurant was a little busy and I think there were only 2 servers? I'm not entirely sure tho. But the reason why I'm putting 1 star is because when we payed I didn't mind much attention to the check, or didn't question the price and just straight up paid. When we head back home we noticed that the check ALREADY had 18% tip added and the server didn't give a heads up or a WARNING. We ended up giving $40 dollars in tip without consent and with not great service. Really dissapointed by this, not fair as there was no mention of it anywhere in the or even the server saying anything. I feel stolen and betrayed by this experience since everything had seem so good. read more
