A friend and I stopped into Sergio's Pizza for lunch today and had a better-than-expected experience. While the pizza itself definitely hit the bready, greasy spot, what really stood out was the overall value and the extra touches. They have a great lunch special that was a nice surprise for my wallet and I liked that they provide chili oil alongside the standard parmesan and red pepper flakes. (So unique!) The restaurant was notably clean and the staff is friendly, which made for a pleasant atmosphere. I asked for the staff's two favorite flavors and tried those slices; pepperoni & mushroom and the Grandma. I loved them both! Although I didn't try any of them this time, the desserts looked super enticing and are definitely on my list for next time. For a slice, why wouldn't you give Sergio's a try? read more

Ever since I moved to Utah I have been missing the pizza. You can typically fine a decent cheese style slice anywhere but what makes Sergio's stand out from the rest is their Grandma & Sicilian style slices. The Grandma slice was sweet & savory sauce paired with fresh mozzarella. The Sicilian tasted like it was made on focaccia bread. They truly make it feel like you're walking right into a NY slice shop because they have their variety of slices on display. There isn't too much seating so I would suggest taking pies to go. There are some tables but they're mostly for groups of 2-6. They also offer some dessert options like $2.00 soft serve (which is only 50¢ on Fridays). Plus they serve fountain coke products which is always a plus. There are some really great special to take advantage of so if you're craving pizza give Sergio's a try! read more

Walked in with hubs around 1:30pm. We were the only folks in the place. Lunch crowd left already? As you walk in, there's a display case with all different types of pizza. Hubs & I each ordered 2 slices. The slices go into the pizza oven to get warmed up. I know this is supposed to be "NY style" pizza, but for a person who lived in NY and lived above a pizza restaurant, in my opinion, it's not quite 100% NY pizza. This has become a regular spot for pizza. We love the Grandma's slice. The tomato sauce on it is fantastic and different from the regular sauce. We tried a sub and salad as well as our pizza. All of it was really good but the star for me is still that Grandma's pizza. read more

None of us wanted to cook dinner after spending the day taking down Christmas trees and decorations (ugh), so we checked out what could be delivered by UberEats. We decided to give Sergio's a try, and what a great choice! The pizzas and garlic knots were absolutely delicious, so it's safe to say we're now fans. This pizza is great. We just happened upon it and are so happy we did. We tried four different types and they were all amazing. I cannot imagine that anything you try would be disappointing. We came in for lunch and got the two slice special and added some garlic knots. It's set up like a typical New York City pizza joint, with a lot of variety of slices in which you could order. I tried grandma's pie, which has a garlic base to it. I really enjoyed it. I also tried the pepperoni and mushroom and thought it was good. I like that the crust had a nice crunch to it but still chewy enough. The garlic knots had a great flavor and were perfectly dough. The owner was very helpful and friendly to us. I've thought about trying this place for about a year because I think that New York pizza is the best pizza and that Utah really struggles to make decent New York pizza. The poor reviews have kept me away until today and I really wish I had just stayed away. This is not New York style pizza. Maybe their locations in NY make the pizza differently. Maybe there's better quality control there. Maybe the person who made my pizza tonight was training? Idk, but I paid $23.63 for a pepperoni and seriously considered returning and asking for a refund. This is the only pizza place we come to since we discovered it several months ago. Prompt friendly service, and you get perfect pizzas every time. I cannot over emphasize how happy I am (as a native New Yorker) to have found real quality pizza in South Jordan, at reasonable price. Simple tables and chairs are available to eat in, and the lobby and bathrooms are always clean. I only recommend this restaurant for all your Italian pizza and calzone needs. read more

I'm giving this place 5 stars because it satisfies specific needs of the people. It's the only place around here that you can get a big single slice of pizza in minutes. This store front gives you fast access to great pizza. Sure there are the mall pizza places, miles away, but I dislike the mall experience. After thought, who goes to the mall for pizza? I arrived when they opened at 11am and they didn't have all the varieties ready. I kept seeing more delicious combinations coming out after I already ordered. I recommend going at 11:30am. My friend is from NY and recommended Sergio's! I've been to NY about 5 years ago and will never forget the amazing NY pizza I had there. I was craving pizza and decided to finally give Sergio's a try. I'm not sure what was going on with the workers that day, but when we walked in we weren't greeted they just stared at us. We were looking at the different pizza by the slices until a couple of minutes later when one of the workers finally acknowledged us. We got 2 slices of the meat lovers pizza and garlic knots. They heated everything up for us so it was fresh and warm. Meat lovers pizza - BIG slices a little bigger than costco pizza slices. I love that they didn't cheap out on the toppings. The pizza is really thin and crispy, not the same NY style pizza I had in NY. ( was expecting the crust to be a bit more chewier/soft but it was really crunchy. Overall still a good pizza, but not exactly NY Garlic knots - ABSOLUTELY GET THIS!!! TO DIE FOR!!! I had low expectations for the garlic knots and these blew me away. Everyone talks about New York style pizza like it's incredibly superior to all other pizza-and they may be right. However, growing up in Utah, I've come to enjoy thick pizza that is a little less greasy. To each his own, right? So I won't fault Sergio's pizza for having a product that I don't particularly care for. I'll base my review on the entire experience, not just the pizza itself. There are several pizza options on display for you to select from. They look a little stale, but when you pick your slice, a staff member put it in the oven for a few minutes, reviving it to it's delectable glory. Slices are served on a modest paper plate-the slices are so large that most of the plate is covered. You'll find napkins, forks and seasoning at a counter nearby and you can order a soda and fill it (and refill it) yourself. There are also a few bottled options, if that's your preference. That's it. Simple concept-pizza by the slice, some garlic bread and a soda. I appreciate that they stick with what they do well and don't try to branch out into too many things. You can't be everything to everyone. The ambience here is a little odd. There's a giant screen TV on one wall and it was playing a TV gameshow when we dined in. There's no music playing, and it was really quiet-all we heard was the game show. A staff member was leaning against the counter watching the TV when there were no customers, making us feel like we were hanging at a friend's house. I think a little upbeat music would do wonders for the vibe here. read more

Was very upset with the quality of pizza from this spot. Was expecting it to be a good traditional styled by slice. But it was not very good. The crisp of the pizza was decent, but the cheese tasted very fake and the sauce was essentially non existent. I ordered the cheese, pepperoni, and a meat lovers slice to try a little of each. They are well priced and a cheaper option for NY style pizza. But the quality was very poor. I ordered online and they gave me a time frame, but the time I got there the pizza was ready and when I opened it in the car to view it, the pizza was cold as if it had been sitting there for a while which does hurt the quality of the slices. Came in 3 times fist two times they didn't have any pizza by the slice that we wanted to try only like Hawaiian and some artichoke one. Not for me I overheard the person in front of me ask the people working if they would put out more pizza they said since they were behind not now. So decided to leave. He was originally from New Jersey and said it was good pizza but they still needed to get the hang of the crowds. I will have to agree with other reviews the customer service is little on the need improvement side but it's okay. First slice tasted good crust was little crunchy but as it sat there it got softer. Cheese was good. I like the sauce not your normal pizza sauce you get. More fresh tomato flavor is how I could describe it. I felt like it was a little salty but maybe just my taste buds. I liked the edge crust a lot. I got 2 garlic knots to try since other reviews said they were delicious. Maybe I am KNOT a fan haha. They were ok. Noting to rave about for me. Could use more garlic flavor. Overall would I go back? Yea I liked it. It's different kind of pizza. Nothing out of the world but it's good pizza. But order ahead to make sure you get what you want. We got two large pizzas from Sergio's and as always, it was great! Service isn't always the most attentive but the cheese pizza reminds me so much of New York that I can't help but go get it. The owner of the brand is actually spending the next 4 months here in South Jordan making sure the flavors are his. I hope he trains the staff well, because we're committed to coming back. We love trying pizza from everywhere! I don't pay attention to most reviews because everyone has bad days and good days. The inside was clean, smelled good, and the staff was friendly. We ordered the Margarita Pizza, Fresh Mozzarella & Basil salad, and Garlic Knots. Everything had just the right amount of seasoning and tasted very fresh. Their Mozzarella was amazingly tasty! For dessert my wife requested something they did not offer. Garlic knots, without the garlic, add powdered sugar, and blueberry jelly. It took them a few extra minutes to make, but the staff was very accommodating and the finished product looked and tasted FANTASTIC!
