I wish I remembered our server's name because he was fantastic, but honestly, every person we interacted with was so friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. One of my favorite things we learned is that they're only open for a few hours each day because they spend so much time prepping everything fresh. The pasta and bread are made fresh daily, and you can absolutely taste the difference. The food has that authentic, family-recipe Italian feel that is getting harder and harder to find. I had the seafood pasta and it was to die for, and we also ordered the ribeye, which was incredible. Unfortunately, we were too busy eating to get pictures of either. We did manage to get pictures of the espresso martinis and the cheesecake because they were way too beautiful not to. The cheesecake was easily one of my favorite desserts I've had in a long time. And the panna cotta deserves its own mention. My boyfriend has been on a mission to find a new favorite ever since our old go-to restaurant stopped serving the one he loved, and I think the search is officially over. We ordered the polenta with spice sausage, it was HUGE and can be shared with 4 people. 2 of us could not finish it. Additionally for dinner we got the gnocchi which was quite tasty and the steak special which was similar to a skirt steak. The steak was good, my only thing was that I didn't enjoy the seasoning on the potatoes (but those were my tastebuds and yours might like them)! There was a spectacular butternut squash ravioli, spinach ravioli, and a spaghetti with an indescribably delicious cream sauce. Overall, that dish is NOT to be missed. We also had a special entree of beef tenderloin with mushrooms, shaved potatoes, and an oxtail sauce. We shared it because OMG food coma, which was a great call. We finished with the tiramisu *swoon* and the lemon gelato with lemon juice, local Utah honey, and sea salt sprinkles. I'm not a big lemon dessert fan and I wouldn't have normally ordered it (I had the tiramisu). The lemon gelato with honey had such a pleasantly unusual texture. The honey had the mouth feel of stringy cheese but the flavor of spring. The gelato was delicate and soft and the salt just amplified the experience. Zachary was our server.
