On the next day she was admitted into hospital. All the staff we met when she stayed there were responsible, kind, and patient. Especially Dr. Fritzgerald Estinfa, who was in charge of my mother in ER, was very experienced and rich in medical knowledge. He diagnosed accurately and gave the best treatment quickly. He was also very patient when explaining the situation to my mother and persuaded her to accept the next step treatment ASAP, which allowed her symptoms to be relieved the next day without need of surgery. In a word Dr. Fritzgerald Estinfa is not only excellent in his medical practice, but also sincerely concerned for his patient's well being, and care for their emotion need as well. Thanks Dr. Fritzgerald Estinfa and Good Samaritan Hospital, who gave my mother a wonderful experience in a urgent health problem.

They were very concerned not only for my husband but for his family too. I received updated during his surgery with this special App called "Family First" my kids and some friends were able to be updated through Harry's surgery.. This was very much appreciated. And comforting. The nurse Lisa would actually call me at home when he made any progress. Mike the nurse was my husband's favorite nurse. The experience was a great one even in a very scary situation. We also had a private waiting room that was very helpful for family to gather.

I recommend using their valet as it saves you ample time. Once inside the staff were extremely helpful telling me exactly where I needed to go and which elevators and turns to make. Visiting my grandmother was easy and extremely pleasant. The new rooms are laid out extremely well as they have bathrooms, ample chairs, and a bench that turns into a bed for overnight guests as well.

They also get mad at you when you click the help button after 3 hours of no medication and constant pain. You're more of a burden to them than a patient. I gave birth here in May and…read morenot only did they not have a room available (they only have 4??), after an hour of my being there they then claimed one was being cleaned for me and would be ready an hour from then. I labored in triage which is a bathroom-less room and an hour later gave birth by pooping all over my child's face, right after they told me the proper room was still not ready. They charged me about $3k for the fancy labor & delivery room. Once in recovery, I asked for my child to be bathed-the nurses refused. She was literally covered in crap. Once night hit -and I'm epileptic and had been awake over 40hrs-I asked that my child be taken to the nursery. I was told "we don't have a nursery" funny, website says you do? And so does my child's bill. So now I'm paying another $3k for a service that I didn't get the advantage of using and supposedly didn't exist. I have spent hours on the phone with their billing department, being passed around time after time and told no charges would be changing. I would only ever return if I had literally no other options.

I went for a different test last month. I called and called for results. I left messages and they never got back to me. I finally got a call back from a patient advocate who was full of attitude and said they had no responsibility to give me the results and to check with my doctor. I asked if someone could've called me back to tell me that? And she said no, that wasn't their problem. Very nice. I'd rather go to a veterinarian than return to Good Sam.

This review is only for the trauma unit. After a car…read moreaccident, a family member was rushed here via ambulance. They were originally going to bring to Valley hospital in Paramus, but decided at the last minute that they did not have a trauma unit so Good Sam would be the place to go. Throughout the 24 hour visit, the nurses were kind and responsive but definitely seemed pretty busy and it was hard to flag them down when we needed an extra blanket, for example. We had 3 to 4 different doctors checking in from various departments including internal medicine, on call Dr and Head of the Trauma unit which was great because we got a wide range of specialists. We appreciated their thoroughness and gentle manner when going through the details from the accident and how it impacted the body, results from xray and such. Not once did we feel rushed or that they genuinely didn't care. Unfortunately, it was a very busy night so although we had a room initially in the unit, they were not able to move us to a quieter place to rest overnight until late into the evening. They were patients laying in the hallways on beds to the lack of rooms. Not sure if it is always like this or it was just one of those days, but it made it pretty loud and I'm sure those patients were uncomfortable. Would 100% come back here if I needed to go to an ER or a trauma unit.

I was in labor for three days and stayed at the hospital for five and my husband and I still rave about how well we (plus our girl!) were treated. What a warm all-star team, from our midwife Linda to Katelyn our nurse and our OB Dr. Shaw, who made giving birth one of the biggest, coolest, bravest things I could do. I'd always heard that Northern Westchester has got a great labor and delivery dept but this went beyond anything I dreamed. Plus, the food is unreal. Feasting on salmon, chicken quesadillas, pancakes, and green smoothies pre and post-birth? Your own room? 24-hour nonstop help and advice? A first-time-parent's dream. 5 stars!!!!

I became angry with the case manager and told her to do her job. I brought my concerns to the patient advocate who has done nothing to address my concerns regarding my mother's treatment. The patient advocate told me not to barge in on hospital staff which never happened and to not raise my voice to hospital staf which I wouldn't have done if the staff did their job.
